- I got this rare 1950s-era Mora knife, model number 648, made by FMMattsson that needed some cleanup. Nothing major, just enough to make it perfect. The sheath was flawless and no work was needed.
Bel découverte pour ce vintage Mora. See you soon!
Merci :) this knife is very cool and its among some of the best examples of my collection
Very nice this Knife. Love it.
Me too ♥️♥️♥️🤣
By any chance, what kind of blade steel being used for this knife?
I am pretty confidente it’s a simple carbon steel. Unfortunately this maker closed in the early 1960s and very few technical info survived the test of times :(
@@Oldmora Noted with many thanks.
I have one knife they stamp made in Sweden CNA be a mora have the same blade but I don't know how to sharpen
The grind back then is the same as today in most Moraknives, it's a scandi grind with microbevel.
May I ask what is the value of the knife in this condition nowadays?
It’s always difficult to put a number on this models that are less recognized by the majority, as a Mora knife. I don’t remember exactly what I paid for it on the auction, but it was above 100€. In the right auction, with the right publicity and production description I see it maybe reaching 150-200€.
@@Oldmora Thank you very much for your insight.
@HappyCamper-ox5cb thanks you 💪
