Hey, there! You could likely use the mold for a bag bottom. For this, we would try placing the leather in the mold, and then trimming the edges of the leather flush to the mold so that you get uniform rather than wavy lines. This could then be a bottom stiffener for a bag, and then you could form the body of the bag with a different piece of leather around the stiffener. It's a cool idea! How long do you dry your leather (after dyed) before you soak it in water?

What weight of leather do you suggest with these rings? Or does it not matter?
Either a 7/8 oz. or 8/9 oz. would be best.
