    You branched out to do what makes you happy. If whatever you are building for your channel isn't fun, don't do it. We can learn from you both in shop and on the trails. Do what makes feeds your soul, your positivity is why so many people love you.

    Colt as I said in the original video, I appreciate the style and content of the videos you and your wife are putting together. I think you have a great balance of sharing your builds and your adventures. As stated in the best movie to feature a pacer, party on and we'll enjoy your adventures together. I especially appreciate the Bible verses at the end of the videos as the walk with the Lord is always on the right path!

    I enjoy seeing things like wrecker builds spread among the 4x4 build community but actually getting some unique original ideas that produce possibly the next trend is just as fun to see. I'm excited to see what you come up with and the variety new/different ideas will bring to the channel. Don't let outside pressure ever push you into cookie cutter builds you're not into.

    I’m thinking this shift in direction will be more interesting in the long run. And the Pacer is still the coolest project on the tube. The adventure vids? It’s part of what makes this channel unique. Keep ‘em coming.

    Just a thought. If you want to go fast, stay light and be different, maybe consider a 2JZ swap. I bet nobody has made a 2JZ powered baja pacer. Whatever you end up putting in it im sure we'll all enjoy watching it.

      2jz needs piston/rods if you go ge and wanna make more that 300ish hp and gte is expensive. Plus they’re heavy

    Hate that you had to drop out. I missed a ton of things last year when I injured my back (including the build challenge) and it was the worst.
    A 2-wheel drive vehicle would definitely have struggled, but I would have gladly given you a tug with the ol’ kinetic rope where necessary. Glad you’ll still be out there in Arizona with the crew. 😀🤘🏻

    Realising the pressure you were putting yourself under was a smart move mate, doing what makes you and your family happy is most important. And that old G60 Nissan Patrol I spotted in the background would make a great project, I had one as a young bloke, you can’t kill them, believe me I tried. Cheers from down under.

    All the reasons you have given not to build the Pacer out at this time are valid for you and that's all that counts. Love watching your channel and then things you build because you explain what you are doing who you are doing it and why so it's all clear. Looking forward to seeing the pacer finished when you finish it the way you want it. You do it the way you want when you build it. I for one will be here, God willing, watching.

    Keep up the builds and I like the adventure videos just as much you’re informative and explain the ins and outs of things. Not sure about anyone else but I’m a bit tired of onx build challenges it’s starting to take away a lot of why I watch certain channels. All the best keep up being the best version of you.

    My favorite entry has to be the so over the top Bread Van.
    The King Cooper is a very close second but I just don’t see it as an adventure vehicle.
    Of course the way things went last year Ian will probably set up a challenge that the Bread Van will physically not fit and it will lose.

    Go old school. Intercooled 2.3 Lima turbo and use the Canfield adapter to mate it to a small block Ford drivetrain. For desert racing, the AWD transfer case from an Explorer is perfect. In fact, for bombing across the desert, the TTB from a half ton in the front would be neat...

    In Australia, the LandRover Discovery (disco) is well recognised as being extremely capable with the right modification/upgrades and it came with an ally 3.5 V8 or diesel option. When modified, those V8's can produce big horsepower and don't weigh much. If you aren't happy building something, then don't keep going, I can respect that choice.

    One of the things I like about watching RUclips is I get to watch content creators who are passionate about what they do and you can tell they have fun and they want to share their excitement. If this build isn't fun, then you made the right choice!

    Ford 2.3L Turbo, Bullet proof Ci Block and head, lots power potential. Owned 3 of them Back in ND. 2 in Pinto wagons and 1 in a Mustang II. all late 70's models.

    Good for you for sticking to what makes sense for you! Life is always a challenge (as I face my own) - but for an engine in this I kind of like the idea of the Ford Ecoboost. All the ones I have driven are pretty peppy and just an example - the 2.0l is pretty solid as well as pretty available.

    How about a 3.4 from an older camaro with 3.8 heads and a supercharger setup from like a pontiac gtp? All factory stuff, so hopefully its not too hard to do on a budget.

    2.4 liter K24 with vtec. It does powerful things with only 4 cylinders.

    One thing you said, resonated deeper with me and I hope it did with others too
    When you said Rory was putting family in front of work ❤️ (on this project ) I work, Marine towing and salvage I know what it’s like to be sitting at dinner and have to go out on a call yes that’s how we make our living, but I am very happy that Rory is putting his wedding and honeymoon first somehow we get it twisted that working all the time is helping our family sometimes we just need time at home

    You could use a ford 3.5 na and turbo it yourself. They're basically the same as the 3.7 in the mustangs, but .2 liters smaller. They can also reliably hold about 500whp
