Honestly. Paul is gonna win. Hes got the best starting platform. And all of his trucks are sick. Team fab rats baby!!!!!!
If they had to stick with the original vehicles drivetrain I would totally agree with you but it sounds like all of them are going 1 tons axle swaps so that kind of makes the body irrelevant except for the bread truck. All the cars bodies should have a good low center of gravity sitting on 1 ton running gear. Maybe. Lol
Paul is also incredibly talented.
I think Paul will definitely get more votes than most people. And I’m not putting tons under the Liberty, just some take of Dana44s from a wrangler rubicon and I chose this specific vehicle for its motor/trans and t-case. Shouldn’t need much more than solid axles, coilovers and bigger tires to outclass the competition out on the rocks. That and I’m simply refusing to add nonsense overland parts to my rig 😂…

Same, he can do more with less because he can build what he needs vs buying it. Same for Colt/Rory but I think their choice of vehicle is going to hold them back. Be curious what DL comes up with compared to what he did last year.

@@chandleremerine6130 I got lucky! He was backing up to try and snatch my little liberty with his much heavier rig. Robby really got me the same way. I was backing up for a good pull and he was as ‘buried’ as I thought 😔😂

Looking forward to seeing how everyone builds what they've got! I would like to see the inclusion of more diverse challenges that would make it easier for the less capable rigs to win money from the beginning. This would encourage competitors to bring more interesting vehicles to start with too (I love that we have cars on this one). I would use a combination of challenges that would reward different styles and types of vehicles like, "go to woah", barrel race, limbo, slow-speed maneuverability course, tug-of-war, rock climb, drag race, long jump, cargo capacity, passenger capacity, relay race, MPG..... I don't know how many of these would be logistically possible under the budget/time constraints or even make interesting content, but I think it would be funny to watch a delivery truck try to race around barrels against a super charged minicooper LOL
Working sunroof should be bonus points!

This got me so stoked. I really enjoyed watching colt build that s10 last season. And it motivated me to build my s10 now. Can't wait to see what this season has coming. Super stoked. But I put my money on colt and rory for sure
I’m rooting for dirifestyle since I’ve had a dream to build a offroad diesel recover vehicle. And I’m rooting for Rudy. Since I’ve always wanted to put a mini on 35s let alone 37s

I think Paul and Chad have the most interesting base to start with. Rudy will engineer/fabricate something spectacular. Looking forward to Colt and Rory working together. Jag build has potential, Robbie's van is a disaster in the making and Dirt will put together a solid package as he always does. Looking forward to all the builds and looks like Utah has OnX locked up for sponsorship!

I have a 06 liberty that's lifted 3 inches. I love it
People always complaining but I love this series. This year is going to have a little extra. Colt vs Matt vs Nate for 1. Watching Hollie do this for Matt will be the one to watch. So many variables in this season. Gonna be a good one.
Hollie should split the winnings with Paul who gave the idea of backing up after gate 2.
@@RUclipsBingingI’m glad you brought this up! My video comes out this morning and Ian clearly explained the rules with every driver standing within 6 feet of him and Paul even asked a question to clarify the rules 😅. I’ll even edit the video now to include a funny little flashback 😂
@MischiefMakerTV there was no offense in my comment. It was sort of a backshsnded sarcastic one. The main point of this thread was meant to say I hope you kill it for Matty. I think you and Paul have the most capable vehicles. Never ever count Colt out for sure. Rudy is always a fan fave. Going to be a really good series this year.

I agree about the Willys…it’s gonna be something special & I’m really interested to see how Rudy handles the Mini. I know for a fact that Rudy and Paul will build rock eating monsters & I dig it 😎🤘🏻. The rock crawler in me isn’t much interested in body-swap builds like Colt, BleepinMatt and Nate are doing, and the bread truck/overland build isn’t really my thing either…but with their insane fabrication skills, I have no doubt the rigs will be cool.
I’m gonna stay in my lane and build an affordable and realistic rock crawler that anyone out there can build for a reasonable budget. When it comes to the final challenge, I’m showing up with a capable machine (hopefully top 3), some cots, lunchables and uncrustables because I cant even pretend to be remotely interested in overlanding 🤣
Since I wheel locally about 3-4 times per week, I’m really hoping the Liberty will be a solid addition to my growing fleet of purpose-built beauties and see regular rotation out on the trails each month. 😁

If a rig makes it through a gate, that means it is relatively capable as is. Flip flop it so the less capable rigs have a bigger budget and make things more competitive.

Not sure where that delivery van will fit on any trail. But it sure will haul a bunch of stuff! Not sure how Rudy will have time to do a complete rebuild as complicated as has planned. If he can do it tho, it will be crazy! That Jag makes absolutely no sense to me. But that’s what makes these build challenges so fun. Can’t wait!
Last time Onx made Rudy take a full size Ram on a mini trail. This time he brings a Mini and Onx gives him a full size trail. Go Rudy. Matts Jag needs no explanation. It's a XJ. I hope Hope will be there.

This is somewhat alright I guess IMO.
For this offroad build challenge, they should’ve been able to build on a particular vehicle instead of letting them decide what they want to build on.
As an Ex., they all should be building on a minivan or like Colts pacer or Robby’s bread truck or Rudy’s mini. Basically, a street vehicle. Their way of build will make the difference in the competition.
IMO all of them should be building on a 144” chassis sprinter van since a lot of sprinter owners uses onX to cruise the backcountry now.

In the spirit of the build challenge, I kind of think there should be a cash prize for the team who starts with the LEAST capable rig.
Paul of Fab Rats was told of the double the money for fastist run after he already made his run.
Not fare to change the rules after the competition had started.

I don’t like how this challenge was laid out. It incentivizes the participants to bring the most capable stock off reader to the challenge. By doing this they are disincentivizing the creativity because the cars that need the build budget the most, get penalized.

Not a bad episode, but I don't know why they changed up the actual order of the challenges? They left out the fact that Paul blew his front axle out and then had to well differentials move axle parts around and stuff just so he could do the actual second challenge of the hill climb. Just didn't see the real benefit of swapping it. And they didn't really show how they came up with the double challenge for the faster hill climb either. It was good the way it was I watched some another channel before I saw this. Here we go with the reality TV I guess
