I must say, that is a great concept. This is the 1st game I've ever played where I've had the option on whether I wanted to drive or not. Take notes GTA.
I just watched this in full in about two days, and I must say that it is like watching a TV show. I'm very glad this was uploaded and I absolutely love this game. Thank you.
Oh shut up. Why do you need better graphics if they are great already. Stop talking shit, you don't really like the game if the graphics and gameplay is bothering you.
Probably not. The whole system and how it works was incredibly impractical and very expensive and it took hundreds of hours to get it right even, because unlike normal motion capture where they use for example blend shades, this needed unique textures and models for every single frame of animation. Which is the reason why the game camout on 3 DVDs. Also it was impressive back then (nearly 10 years ago) but when you look closely, you can see all the issues the system has. Lots of facial glitches because it wasn't captured correctly and you can see on the neck where the head sits unconnected on it because they couldn't connect the filmed face with the animated body properly. On top of that, it needed 2 capture sessions, an additional one just for bodymovement. It will never be used again.
So you mean to tell me that nobody is about to talk about how this man just casually gets hit by a car @ 6:16:40 and everyone just goes on about their day... BLOOD AND ALL!
Dragonic Starblade I hate Roy. Not only rude, but he slaps women, hates blacks and is involved in shady shit. It is even worse that nobody was suspicious of him or interviend when he got aggressive. Sadly, that was how some cops were back then
"most people never get the chance to be rich... wouldn't you risk it?" that's his whole mindset right there. he wants fame, glory (newspaper headlines) and money. and ofc, he behaves like the expected bigot who has authority back then. still, very nicely crafted character, like all of them in this game (objectively speaking, roy is one of my favourites in this regard). this game is really something else =)
As much as GTA 5 and GTA 4 have so much more in terms of gameplay and open world exploration as well as sidequests and random shit. This game really hits home when you play as a great character with haunting background trying to do good in the world but ultimately gets betrayed and caught up in a lot of things he didn't want to. Then to lose him at the end, hit me harder than the doctor hitting Elsa in the head. L.A Noire sequel should be a thing within the next few years because it deserves it!
L.A Noire 2 should be about a new detective taking up some cases in the following years later reminding the city, LAPD and some of the remaining detectives about the legendary Cole Phelps!
1:39:30 "The next sixteen year old I have to peel off the sidewalk, you're calling the mother." *actively causes a car crash turning some kid into a sidewalk pizza*
This game had more interesting information about Hollywood and the beginning 21 century and had one of perfect story is massive in details and make you feel you waken in tha period
I am currently 11 years of age. I played L.A Noire when I was 6/7 and I remember the drivers seat the best out of all the cases. The little bow from Phelps, The bloody inside in the car, Adrian Blacks house, The cavanaughs bar scene and mostly the chase. It’s really a shame that Rockstar didn’t make a sequel. One of the best games next to 007: Quantom of Solace.
This was and still is my favorite game, BEST COP/FBI/Crime investigations game ever. Everytime I play it, it's like im actually inside the game doing REAL BUSINESS I just love it. Haven't played it in a while but, ima have to replay it again. Even tho I use to be pissed off failing the mission having to re do it again lol.
could be amazing an crime thriller from R* in the 80s or 90s with a detective who's corrupt and has a family, he tries to get along with them, but there is this one case that is not letting him go... i know it sounds like a cliche, but it could be cool if R* makes a 2nd part
It's better than Mafia in many ways, the storytelling is tighter, and the graphics and combat is better. Yes, the routine parts script like that when they get in the car to go someway can be repetitive, but that's the only issue with it. Rockstar makes really good games.
I am a third of the way thru this, and i swear i did not read the comments, nor have i fast forwarded to the end(although im tempted to). I know there was a movie called the Black Dahlia but i havent watched that either. But i have a feeling the Captain is crooked and quite possibly the Black Dahlia. Its taking all my willpower to not google Black Dahlia or fast forward this cuz im so curious lmfao.
@@GamersNameyour absolutely right! when I first got it on my ps3 it took a while for it to grow on me I was use to GTA and other fast paced games. Then I recently played it again I was stunned at how advanced it was. This game was ahead of time.
It’s sad that the development company that made the game was severed by rockstar games, because they were underpaying their employees and making them work long hours to get this game done.
The story is amazing‼️ Game was just too boring for me though 🤷🏽♂️ i remember seeing the commercials of this game back in May 2011 back when i was in the 10th grade. i was interested in this game but MW2, 2k11, Halo Reach, Enslaved Odyssey To The West, Homefront, etc etc had my attention back then. i really appreciate this homie 🤙🏽 i wouldn’t have beat this game or got all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ if it wasn’t for this! i gotta do the DLC missions now! 😎☮️🤙🏽✌🏽

Greatest quote in this game “You drive.”
LoL
"How can I help detective" lol
I must say, that is a great concept. This is the 1st game I've ever played where I've had the option on whether I wanted to drive or not. Take notes GTA.
“You drive, I’m gonna go over the case notes.”
Putting you through now
I just watched this in full in about two days, and I must say that it is like watching a TV show. I'm very glad this was uploaded and I absolutely love this game. Thank you.
There's never been another game like this . . . Such a great concept. Shame we never got ep2.
What a GOAT for posting this. The perfection makes it seem even more like a TV series.
Cheers mate 👍
They Need A 2019/2020 Version Of This Game W. Better Graphics, Gameplay, & Cases. This Was One Of My Favorite Games & It Has Sooooo Much Potential 😩
Jada This Jada That they have it already they remastered it 2 years ago but have the same cases
I agree!
Only better graphics and extra cases maybe, the game itself almost couldn't be better
Ellsa was modelled on Marlene Dietrich, she even resembles the actress.
Oh shut up. Why do you need better graphics if they are great already. Stop talking shit, you don't really like the game if the graphics and gameplay is bothering you.
God these facial expressions/animations are incredible! I hope they show up in future Rockstar games. More specifically GTA 6.
EatSomePizza it’s incredible for an older game
Probably not. The whole system and how it works was incredibly impractical and very expensive and it took hundreds of hours to get it right even, because unlike normal motion capture where they use for example blend shades, this needed unique textures and models for every single frame of animation. I think they scanned a face so expressions can be used to tell if they are telling a lie. I don’t know though, that’s what I think
11:49:21 *CAR IS ON FIRE.* "So how Have You been?"
*AHHHHH I'M ON FUCKING FIRE!!*
"That's wonderful, I am too."
This is the best Cop game ever.
i’d say detective but yeah cop works too
True crime
I just wish the vr version let you partner drive
Yup
Rockstar needs to stop playing & do the Sequel to this game
One of only few games that I really enjoyed. Was done so good. Music, game play, experience. I really felt being in the 30s.
40s
So you mean to tell me that nobody is about to talk about how this man just casually gets hit by a car @ 6:16:40 and everyone just goes on about their day... BLOOD AND ALL!
I was laughing like crazy at that part. So HILARIOUS!!!
When he said: "You can drive." I felt that
When you can't get a game to work on your PC, you find gems like these to enjoy the ride. Much love for this upload.
I humbly, sincerely thank you for making and posting this video.
6:16:40 Hahahaha
This game clearly deserved a sequel. I hope Rockstar makes another one.
*I say we bust in there and find the goddamn evidence*
20:00 that scream
Most underrated game ever.
Absolute legend for doing this video 🙌
i like that the subtitles font is gta 4
57:36 The origin of the “Press X to Doubt” meme. 😂
bloody shame what Roy did to Phelps, but that's the way things were/are in this world.......
Dragonic Starblade I hate Roy. Not only rude, but he slaps women, hates blacks and is involved in shady shit. It is even worse that nobody was suspicious of him or interviend when he got aggressive. Sadly, that was how some cops were back then

1:03:35 how would he know the car was abandoned at the railroad
compared to playing as criminals such as GTA and mafia series, this game is much more challenging.

ouch..that sounded like he broke his neck after landed on the ground 19:56
The one quote Ralph says: "Only a couple blocks from here"
I love who ever play in this game they kmow what they doin and know what to look for make more games and ill be lookin out for ya one love.
I deadass got stuck on 3:27:30 the first question and I'm pissed I tried everything like I would restart my game to try and get a 5 star.
4:42:59 That’s Greg Grunberg from NBC’s “Heroes” I noticed that the game LA noire Uses a lot of recognizable character actors for this game.
I wish they did a DLC case for Homicide desk
I watched my dad replace a truck battery 🔋
This reminded me of Mafia

BigHenFor hell no its not what storry telling all u day is solve cases come on man
I always miss some clues every case. Annoying!!
But the game is nice, especially facial movements
5:41:00 the temp guy is mentioned so much why didn’t Phelps ask who he was? Case would have been solved right then
6:49:50
Jamison- I was kissing her...
Rusty- *Punches him*
I thought this game was going to be in black and white. Like literal black and white
Herschel was a goddamn trooper. Stayed with Cole until the end!
Thank you GamersName. Is it me or Phelps is inspired in Robert Duvall an Rusty Galloway in Nick Nolte? One of the best games ever.
5:43:24 Brian Krause! Was in the remake of the Blue Lagoon with a then unknown Milla Jovovich And Stephen King’s “Sleepwalkers”.
One of the best game I've played..
no its garbage
When they walk sounds like ping pong balls
Them facial expressions are on point in this game
I own this game and I enjoyed it thoroughly
Good bye.. Best ending quote ever.
8:14:28, you learned your lesson :D
I am a third of the way thru this, and i swear i did not read the comments, nor have i fast forwarded to the end(although im tempted to). I know there was a movie called the Black Dahlia but i havent watched that either.

9:23:17
WHAT THE HELL WHY AM I LAUGHING?!
this is awesome! do you unlock all cars as well as unlock everything possible in the game?
Sadly, but no :(
Ótimo Game, sou do Brasil, grande abraço
This game so underrated
Because its adult oriented. You won't see many kids hyped about solving crimes, but i'm glad there are ppl recognizing the value of this game.
@@GamersNameyour absolutely right! when I first got it on my ps3 it took a while for it to grow on me I was use to GTA and other fast paced games. Then I recently played it again I was stunned at how advanced it was. This game was ahead of time.

11:22:36 love the outfit choice!
It’s sad that the development company that made the game was severed by rockstar games, because they were underpaying their employees and making them work long hours to get this game done.
And then rockstar went and did the same thing 7 years later to get RDR2 done
great gameplay, though why did you change out the cars you were using almost every time? normally that's GTA right there.
There was an achievement to drive every single vehicle in this game, i was on it. 😅
The Narrator at the video's starts is the same voice as Wiseman from Fallout 4
I've seen the first few seconds and it's already Mafia for me.
