I sadly doubt they gonna touch L.A. Noire again. They own the rights (well, i guess Take-Two does) but real life worlds aren't really a thing of Rockstar anymore. Maybe some other Take-Two Subsidiary takes over but who knows how that turns out

I adore that when something is mocapped, that means that you don't merely get voiceline screw ups like you would in other kinds of animation, you get fully animated screws up like it's an actual cast on a set.
The fact that the eyebrows and tounge movements could be animated like that really showed how ground breaking this tech was at the time. Honestly, I'm not sure if current motion capture would be able to pull that off.

I beat it for the first time a week ago on ps3 and I'm honestly shocked how amazing it still looks! The voice actors are incredible every single one of them and the cases feels like an episode in a tv series. It's one of the most unique and best games I've ever played!
Hands down, this is one of my favorite gag & blooper reels ever. All these years later, I'm still thoroughly impressed with the motion capture. It's my understanding that "La Noire" wasn't quite the smash hit Rockstar Games was hoping for. Smash hit or not, I've always been extremely entertained not only by the game play but more so by the interconnecting storylines. Top notch work in my humble opinion.

The fact that Rockstar went out of their way to include outtakes/bloopers as of this was an actual movie is pretty great. Imagine if games like The Last of Us or even Call of Duty in their campaigns included bloopers from times during their mocap performances. It just adds to the fact of the use of TV show/Movie actors contributed to the quality of what the game did for facial scanning. Still upset we never got a Noire Sequel
