- Decided to take the cutlass out to Mexico for a baseline this weekend. Had a couple shifter issues but nothing major. Whole swap was done under $1000.

Lsx innovations adjustable swap plates
Junkyard 5.3
5.3 dished flywheel
Th350 trans
Th350 to ls torque converter spacer
Inline 380lph fuel pump
Stock clamshells
Stock harness/ fuse box
Vats disabled using buddy's truck

@@gernardlouis1965 oil pan wasnt needed because its stock ride hight. I ran open truck headers but would get f body headers if I did it again other then that it's a pretty str8 forward swap

Yea it ain't too bad for stock motor I guess... I would have got that Subaru if It would have went in 1st gear lol I'm hooking up the kick down cable today so hopefully this weekend will be better. Really I need a floor shifter and manual valve body but with 7 kids cant really afford it rite now lol
Trust me I definitely understand how it goes this car stuff is expensive lol, that’s why I’m trying to go the cheapest route on my swap. But I can’t wait to see some more driving footage from Mexico again 😂. See you in the next one ✌🏾

Yes everything was plugged up as tho it was factory

Check ur fuses and knock sensor wiring
Did u race it with only those 3 wire u showed us how to turn it on the fastest way?
Yea just stock 5.3 with vats delete and stock fuse box.... tbh it needs a stall and cam it's a dog off the line with the old stock 350 converter

🤔 I'd say the biggest issue was using the stock truck manifolds there is very little Clearance between the header flange and the factory column shift linkage... other than that it's a very simple swap that can be completed in a very short time by just about anyone
Have you found a solution to your kickdown cable problem?
Yes it wasnt the kickdown cable the trans mount broke and the linkage was bound up not allowing it to go into 1st gear.. however since then I carb swapped it and now the kickdown is hooked up

Mikey Tuned for the kickdown cable. Like what did you use to mount it and what not
@@wolfmannhd7244 I installed a msd setup and carb swapped it I used a old throttle cable bracket from a tbi truck motor and bent it to fit
Question about pcm bypass if I use stock steering will from doner I shouldn’t run into any problems with the vats code right
Did you swap the oil pan?
No stock truck pan.. The cars at stock height rite this second so I wasnt really worried about it yet.

@@kilotwoxz8002 yea I just measured it there's about 6 inches clearance I ain't worried about it it's not gonna be a street car
