The One thing I would say about last years gold cup is was a end to end gallop for over 3 miles. Has the smell of a denman when he battered them and was never the same again. GC needs it bottomless to have a chance in March
You get horses that hit a flat spot and that looks like what Gerri Colombe does from about 3 out. Against a better class horse he won't get away with that as that is where the like of Galopin Des Champs and Bravemansgame will just be looking to make their move and kicking. He's a hard pass for me in the Gold Cup - I don't even think he enters calculations unless it comes up a bog.
I did a private tour @ Henry de Bromhead and they were thinking seriously about Cross Country @ Festival for Minella Indo as he getting on now and has done Gold Cup - Looks like the cat is out of the bag.

He stays but hes also a group 1 winner over 2mile4. you may be the slow one
