    I suspect the fact that Iron Shark is built on a pier would explain its shakiness compared to Tantrum which mounted to footers dug below the frost line.

  • @MattMcIrvin
    @MattMcIrvin Год назад +9

    A narrow footprint seems like it's a really major selling point for a compact coaster model--see how popular Premier Sky Rocket IIs have become. I always thought it was interesting that Gerstlauer sold some 320+ models before they sold the 320, which eliminates the last helix to become super narrow, but the 320 seems to be the popular variant of the smallest Eurofighter now.

    That transition into the brake run on iron shark looks brutal, glad they fixed it for tantrum, also I agree about the s hill being underrated, it was probably my favorite moment on tantrum, either that for the snap or the inclined loop for the positives and how tight it felt

    • @OklahomaCoasterFan

      It is quite brutal in the front row, but no issue at all in the back row, at least on my day.

    I Would have to say, I feel like Krater is the best of them. First the setting in the mountains is amazing, you feel like you are on top of the world, second Colombia is very warm and humid throughout the year and rains a lot, so I feel like it runs a lot faster compared to the other 2, and third, it does have a little bit of theming.
    To be fair though, I have only ridden Krater, so I don't discredit any other judgements. :p

    I recommend the back row as it shakes less violently. I live nearby and every time this ride has been a walk on for me.

    This ride model exists just to make everyone question what an inversion is
    Not sure if that dive loop quite reaches 135 but I agree on everything else

    I Agree! The brake run on Iron Shark over the Galveston Bay is What's UP! Also love those shark trains! Iron Shark is also 11 yrs. old already because it was pretty smooth when it was NEW.

  • @OklahomaCoasterFan
    @OklahomaCoasterFan Год назад +1

    With Iron Shark in March 2021, the back row was perfectly smooth, but the front row was very rough in a couple valleys. Once I noticed that, I wanted the back row for every ride. That line did get quite long after a couple hours. Tantrum was quite smooth in both rows. I agree that anything that's over 135 degrees is an inversion. rcdb makes no sense in what they count and don't count.

    I think Six Flags needs to give Gerstlauer a second chance since they've decided to do that with Skyline Attractions, even after their disastrous result with Harley Quinn: Crazy Coaster at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. After all, a Euro Fighter would be a great addition for parks like Six Flags America, Six Flags St. Louis, and maybe even Six Flags Over Texas.
