How can youn’tell’ he has a ‘low ceiling’ ?? I will concede he is not as tall or explosive as flag, and of course not the shot blocker at all. but he’s equally clever, efficient, and setting up his shots. I’m sure they said the same thing about Larry bird in high school. This kid is efficient smart scores with both hands and can patiently create his own shot.he doesn’t need to be as explosive .and note he got little help from his small overmanned team. Mva is loaded look at that sixth man coming off bench-he will start a major d 1 school. Flag is a unique talent, running the break, uses both hands , interior passing vision, explosiveness. I don’t see any 2 handling flag j. College. He won’t need to play much center at duke so he will be e perienced power forward and stringer when he leave for pros. Look at the career James worthy had in pros and he had no outside shot, couldn’t run the break, or,pass at ball like flag.

I give the kids from Alabama credit for taking this game. With that said, they play like they're stuck in the 1960s. I'm a old guy that played in New York during the 60s and 70s. I'm in my late 60s and I've coach a lot of ball too. If this is what Bama HS ball looks like, they need to step up a bit. But you know, it's all about B ball culture.
Some coaches have a way of preventing players from being creative. I'm sure that's the problem here. Montverde is a joy to watch against anyone. Much appreciated.

What am I missing. These look like 2 decent, talented high school basketball teams. But I don’t see anything spectacular going on here.
And if these teams are so special, why is the gymnasium only 3/4 full? Shouldn’t it be full of students, parents, fans, scouts, and curious basketball fans in general?

Better shooting percentage than the chosen NBA players .
Makes you wonder how or why such choices are always for a certain group
Maybe because the only way they ever even get to college is because they will be walk ons .
