Came upon this video by chance and it brought back so many memories. That's me in blue jeans and black T-shrt at 2.46. I know it's only seven years ago, but this was the first time I had ever seen more than a dozen ukuleles in the same space. The setting was surreal - a London Georgian street encased in a glass roof! I remember troubles with the PA and having some fantastic snacks from the outdoor food sellers. Some of the UOoGB played and, of course, we set the world record for the highest number of uke players in one venue. This event promised so much. There would be a big festival in London in 2010. It would attract acts from around the world. There would be workshops, trade stalls and demonstrations from ukulele makers. We all signed up to receive further details and then..........................................nothing. What happened!? What a wasted opportunity. I think this is when a few people in Cheltenham realised that there was a gap in the market and set up the first Ukulele Festival of Great Britain in 2010 (I might be wrong here)
Love this!
What a great atmosphere!
Look, there we are at 2.48 - Southampton Ukulele Jam members over on the right there!
Wow what a great idea and you even got me in it....loved it just another good memory of what was a great day

I can't believe this! That's me singing in the background at the beginning again! Did everybody only decide to video this event during our set? :0)
