Hey since you enjoyed my 'transforming' video tutorial last time, here's my latest that I thought you might like! It's all about the latest hero design layout trends! ruclips.net/video/TjLxhLSrmGw/видео.html Would love to know what you think!
Wow. Respect. I am very impressed. This video is a 10/10. Your knowledge and how you structure and present it... this is a jewel. I got so much inspiration for my own design learning, this will keep me on my feet for weeks. Thank you so much.
Hey Chrstopher, here's another Figma tutorial video on the latest hero trends for 2024 that I thought you might like - ruclips.net/video/TjLxhLSrmGw/видео.html Let me know what you think!
This was awesome and taught me so much! I've been struggling with defining my own personal design tastes lately and this gave me a lot of language and understanding about what I like and don't like. I'd say I very confusingly identify with both neobrutalism and flat design as well as with glasmorphism :)
You perfectly described the exact feeling that prompted me to go down the rabbit hole of research to understand these styles! Also…I think Neobrutalism and Flat design are the perfect compliment to each other. So happy you stopped by to watch and comment!! 😊🫶🏾
Hey Nisha! I wanted to share my latest trends video with you - ruclips.net/video/TjLxhLSrmGw/видео.html Let me know what you think of these latest trends!
Loved this video! I'd love to see more trends and how to replicate them, maybe even more in-depth videos on each trend Does anyone know of a good UI course? I know the product design course was mentioned, I'm comfortable with my design thinking/research skills I more want to improve in my visual design skills
Thanks Christian! 😄 Are you looking for a course that focuses more on web design or UI design? And are you looking to get better at the foundations and technique or get faster and better at using Figma specifically?

this is really cool, thanks! I wanted to ask - how do you know what the names of these trends are? More generally, how does one keep up to date with (web) design trends?
These trends most commonly start from the branding, marketing and product departments of bigger tech companies and popular startups. They often pull from and are influenced by real world events, history, interior design and architecture etc. and documented into their brand guides or design systems. Sometimes other designers give them a name that catches on and then the trend is born. New trend often can be found by studying existing design systems that are released by companies and by following influencial designers in the space Here are some popular design systems to explore: ruclips.net/video/BISC15OPeGA/видео.html
It’s not about supporting it or not, it’s about accepting the reality of its existence and doing the best we can to understand it, adapt with it and reduce its harm.
@saniainez, you’re assuming that only harm can come from using AI. I choose not to deal in absolutes. Everything has a dark and light side. By having people from different backgrounds and walks of life interacting with AI, bias assessment, source citations, zero-party data, data provenance, governance, human intervention etc. those are all safeguards that we can implement. I don’t think there is a turning back now and although I think that would be great, Pandora’s box has already been opened. I’m not pro AI but I am a realistic and take the middle way.
@@DesignerUp in no way I'm refusing the development of AI *as a whole* - but as of now, there is no such thing as "ethical use" of genAI. Especially commercially, as in a RUclips monetised video. Yes, there is no going back, but as long as those "safeguards" are yet to exist, genAI's existence continues to do more harm than good.

Holy smokes. The way you change and evolve the design throughout the video is SICK.
Haha thanks! I had fun figuring out how to do that lol 😄

You *can* use spread with frames, but you need to turn of "clip content" for it to work.
You are simply amazing Elizabeth. Your ability to simplify things with instant on the fly examples is unmatched. Thanks a ton!!!

Happy with it - until I hear you support AI.
It’s not about supporting it or not, it’s about accepting the reality of its existence and doing the best we can to understand it, adapt with it and reduce its harm.
@@DesignerUp how does one "reduce its harm" if one continues using generative AI, therefore improving it with each use?
