JANUARY 12, 2023: Rushawn ‘Carrot’ Ewears was never aware that his voice had become the most popular sound on social media platforms, TikTok, Instagram and RUclips until his sister saw a remix of ‘It’s a Beautiful Day’ by TheKiffness a few weeks ago.
The now16-year-old, who did the rendition of the song when he was 10 years old, admits that he still has no idea of how impactful his voice has been to school children in places such as Indonesia and Malaysia, or housewives and Christians in Europe and Africa.
But he knows the changes to his life brought about by the popularity of the song, which was written by gospel singer Jermaine Edwards, was a gift from God.

That is one thing that is instilled in most of the Jamaican schools. We learn to address our Teachers as Mr and Miss and in general all adults aswell .

The fact that that video was shot 6 years ago and only started getting viral last year tells me that when you're destined for greatness, your purpose will ALWAYS find you! I'm 1000% excited for this young man and pray that his gift will keep making room for him in spaces he never even knew existed. Also it's sooooooo refreshing to see a young man with such exceptional manners!

This song is a daily MUST for my 8 year old. We listen to it on the way to school and his academics have improved remarkably. I try to set his intentions on everyday will be a great day. He is also becoming very vocal.. standing up for his self to his bullies and even standing up for his friends when they are being mistreated. Finding this song this year has changed OUR LIVES
