I HAVE A 2012 FORD FUSION SE, IT HAS OVER 200,000 MILES ANS 30-33MPG. NORMAL MAINTENANCE, CHANGED OIL EVERY 5,000 MILES, RELIGIOUSLY. BOUGHT NEW AND STILL LOOKS NEW. STILL DRIVING. IT HAS A 2.5L NON TURBO ENGINE. TURBOS DESTROY MOTORS. FINIS PAX
I HAVE THE 2.5L ENGINE ON MY 2012 FUSION. IF SOMEONE DRIVES LIKE A MANIAC, THE MOTOR IS TOO SMALL. THE FORD EDGE HAS A 6 CYLINDER, ONE DRAWBACK, IF THE WATER PUMP GOES OUT, THE WHOLE ENGINE FRONT COMES OUT, TO REPLACE. THE 2.5L IS A BULLET PROOF ENGINE, EASY TO WORK ON. YOUR DRIVING HABITS DICTATE YOUR LIKES OR DISLIKES. FINIS PAX
I owned a 2013 S Fusion, now own a 2019 SE hybrid and just love this car. The S and SE WITHOUT EcoBoost are truly bulletproof cars. I put 45 thousand miles on my S and basically just changed the oil and filter, tires and wipers. As a "bonus" they are great drivers. Biggest drawback? The U.S market never got the hatchback or wagon that Europe got...the trunk opening is too small.
Yes I completely agree the European version (the Mondeo) came with a lift back which would have been even more successful I think in the US market. The 2.5 is really bulletproof they last with very minimal maintenance. I'm glad you are still in the fusion family cheers 🤙
Hey, I still currently own this car and it has had absolutely 0 problems the 2.5 has been really reliable. While I do wish for more power occasionally it's more than enough for a great comfortable ride. I do highly recommend it!! Hope you find the perfect one!
I think it would also be a good idea to look at the facelifted 2017 model year with the 2.5. It's got a slightly different look but comes with the newer infotainment system which I highly recommend the sync 2 system in my car can feel really sluggish on occasion so if that's a concern I do recommend maybe the next year (2017+)
@@eddideleon2845 yes the transmission is all good too. It doesn't have paddle shifters but the manual mode itself on the shifter is surprisingly responsive.

Hitch receiver is crazy
IF YOU TOW ANYTHING, GET A 8-CYLINDER PICKUP. YOU WILL DESTROY ANY TURBO CHARGED ENGINE, REGARDLESS OF SIZE, IF YOU TOW. FINIS PAX

Greetings brother, how about this car in 2024, do you recommend it? I'm thinking of buying the same one with the same 2.5 engine.
