It’s been an interesting development of Trev, we saw it in preseason him almost bossing the backline. Now I think with Silva gone he clearly is our most dominant defender. Outside Colwill and Fofana. Colwill seems way too chilled to take over. Fofana is maybe a little too much of a joker (maybe immature). Trev has that will balanced personality to actually help guide us. The big question is, will he be as important as Virgil, Saliba or Dias. We had that in Silva. If we want to challenge we need that in one of our CB’s or at a minimum a Saliba and Gabriel type unbreakable partnership. At the moment I can comfortably say Trev is our most important balanced CB who seems to have it all and is the only one to be developed by world class players like Silva, Rudiger, Azpi and Christensen. Remember he has developed this warrior mentality now with his headers, one on one defending and body on the line blocks. I can see in the second year mostly for our other CBs having a breakout season. But I think it’s too early for Trev to go.

I think Cucu is great when he's literally breathing down the neck of attackers. He can improve on his off-the-ball capability. He's been imperious in my view the second part of the season. He looks good on the press.

His strengths and shortcomings are on full display. It'll be interesting to see how Chelsea approach LB heading into next season!

My summery. Bad start, injuries, out of position with players by coach, inconsistent, better 2nd half of season, players playing more consistent, bad breaks, good team, coach wasn't the major problem

The defense still looks shaky, they can’t be denied. Tighten it up next season and we should climb the table some more.
Cucurella and even Gusto sometimes look too cavalier. Some Azpiculeta mindset needs to imbibed in these two.

People keep quoting “fourth best points tally since Boxing Day”. It’s actually way earlier.
We are fourth best since gameweek 6.
Why was game week 7 significant? Cole Palmer made his first premier league start.

The Palmer Supremacy is a real thing!

When are we gonna call it a day with Chilwell? He's still constantly injured, and when we get him back for 5 games, he plays awful. He is so slow now and is shocking defensively. He should be on the sell list for the summer. Cucu shouldn't even be in the same conversation as him. Also wish Maatsen was given a proper chance to play left back for us especially with the inverted role we are playing now. Another own goal from Poch there with his mismanagement of the squad.

If we don't sign or sell anyone I'll honestly be happy. Keep the manager, keep the players, cross our fingers for Europa League and the possibility of a Jordan shirt deal. 😂

I honestly don't get the ownership at this point. During some real lows during the season, and honestly times when I thought the sack of Poch might be appropriate, they were unwavering in their support of him. Yet, after Poch takes this team on a serious run, gets players back from injury and shows what quality football he can get this team playing, now it seems like his future hangs in the balance... I recall that the plan all along was to review his progress at the end of the season. But if that is the case, then I feel like the ownership should at least come out and say that to the media and remind fans of that. Cuz right now you just have rumors swirling about other managers and I really just don't think it's fair to Poch and the players that support him staying.

Gallagher also got something on the tackle with the keeper to set Caicedo up. Just saying.
