This should work with any mod, unless that mod has made drastic changes to the maps. That said, of course, this method works with stock maps, and I can't say anything about mod maps. BigHase, have you tried this with DBW?
Destens, do you mean how to install IL2 Sturmovik 1946? This video shows only content and tools available in the stock game, and does not require any additional downloads or mods.
The Taxi to Takeoff feature became reality with version (I think) 4.10. What version do you have installed? If you go to Mission4today.com, you can find lots of articles, and the actual downloads you'll need to bring your install up the the (current as of 7 June) 4.14.1. i have it installed but i don't have the taxi feature with it.
