- Welcome back to another video! Today I take my Jeep for a quick wash after a couple of days of exiting offroad activities. This is the first time I see my Jeep so dirty and I have to say It looks good! I also found that my tires looked a little messy after the first wash and I had a hard time cleaning them and restoring the flat black tone they had before. Because of this, I decided to try a new product (At least for me) for my tires. According to the label in the product is a "Black Satin Tire Coating". And apparently, It gives your tires the black satin color that I look for. Enjoy the video!
In case you wonder where I got my headlights? Here is the link:

You have to clean your tires first with a tire cleaner. That brings the deep dirt and mud out of the rubber. The tire shine is meant to be applied after cleaning the tire. Then it’ll look amazing. Try that.
That’s not a product failure. You just didn’t clean the tire well enough
Hey clean the tire like the can says. What you see there is caked on dirt
I think your supposed to let the product sit and not wipe it around .if the wheel wasn’t cleaned right that would just make the shine mix with the dirt and not shine very much .its dry touch once it dries on It’s own
I use Cover All. You can use it in the interior as well as on your tires. Doesn’t smell bad either. Helps keep tires and interior dashboards clean without the excessive oily residue. Been using it for years. Never had a problem.
If your favorite tire shine has silicone it's NO GOOD! Research it.
You definitely need to clean your tires first with a tire cleaner and scrub them.
First of all, putting tire shine over dirt is never going to work. It's not paint. You flat-out did't clean the tires well enough. Then you used WAAAAAAY too much, that's why you used it all up. One can of this stuff will do my tires about 10 times.
Use Purple power or super clean while scrub cleaning your tires, the stuff works wonders on tires.
OutJeeping thank you 👍🏻
Super clean/ water 50/50 and a tire brush is an amazing combination. It sucks out all the nasty nate.
I myself like elbow grease and comet. I've used it for a few decades and it works great. And its dirt cheap too.
My 2001 cherokee classic has the same type of problem with the window put a new switch pannel
dyllon591 yeah it’s been acting up for quite some time. But now it stopped working
To answer your question to your switches on your driver side take it apart carefully and check all your Sauter points they used cheap sauter
I don't shine my tires I just wash them and scrub them with a brush that gets all the dirt off.
Dude, you need to buy a different car. It’s going to cost you a fortune if you are going to pay someone to do every simple maintenance task, like aligning the steering wheel!
Stop using tire shine. First of all it dry rots and it ruins the longevity of your tires. 2nd, the Jeep community does not approve tire shine.
It's because you need to let the tire dry completely before applying the spray.... After all, oil and water don't mix, right.
That a great product, you used it wrong, use it on car tires and use foam on truck tires
Hi V.T. just a little tip next time you're going to spay shine or what ever on you're tire's or etc first go to place like a a store that has a card bord recycle bin get a card bord box cut in a the same diameter as you'r wheel put over wheel when you spray it will keep the spray off you're wheels the tire's and all looked good V.T. one more tip let the tire's dry first do the shine etc. at home let it dry before you drive so dirt won't want to stick to the wet tire shine well good night 🌇🌆⛼🌃 C😎😎L
Fucken good idea bro😎👍🏾
When you have big ass tires and surprise one can isn't enough. Lol
Very god video and I promes I vont make the seim masteke
Best tire cleaned by far is Wesley’s Bleach white and some good old elbow grease with a brush. Will give you that clean rich black look.
Detroit is very serious about auto detailing .
Don't get that shit on non coated aluminum wheels, fucked up my Weld Racing wheels, $385 each! Had to repolish them...
Tire shining products dry out the rubber. I just use soap and water
Mike Benedict yeap that’s the best thing
lol. Clean your tires first......
Ya U took it off with the spong Dua Bro
I second the purple power because what your still seeing is dirt
Not dirt its rubber surface disintegrating
Bro, whats your full specs on your wheels!?
regala me la para navidad
Just use pledge as a tire shiner! You can look it up on RUclips it works great and it’s cheap!!
Chris Anderson thank you I’ll look into it 👍🏻
Just because it's on youtube or someone says its good dont meam squat. People always give ignorant advice. Research it yourself.
Thank you randy. Pledge is not good for rubber
You will destroy rubber with that
It be cool if u made a video about you going to get your alignment done. I have the same issue with my steering. I like to see and I'm sure others as well, would see how and what they can do to fix their steering too. Awesome jeep btw. Keep the content coming👌🏼
Elijah Tomlinson yeah I can do that! 👍🏻 Thank you
Elijah Tomlinson The good thing is aligning the steering wheel is easy to do at home and and only takes a minute
Use shoe polish
You need to scrub the tires before and after using tire shine, not just slop it on and expect it not to come flying off at high speed
That's a lot of side wall to cover for each tire, js. For a reference, I have 275/55 20's on my truck & I've used 1 can twice on them & still have enough for a 3rd time. Also, like others have said, you're not going to get the brown off the tire without a legit tire cleaner & even then it's sometimes tough. You're just putting lipstick on a pig until you actually clean them.
Good looking xj! Aerosols arent the best when it comes to detail products such as tire shine. Try using a decontaminate like ironx or a good degreaser like purple power on the tires and scrub them good, let them fully dry, and apply some Jack Wax Blue Shine with an applicator sponge and you will be blown away with the results. Doesnt give a wet appearance, doesnt sling, gives solid coverage and lasts through a quick spray down wash.
Oye me gustan tus vídeos aunque no te entiendo me gustan mucho tu cherokee saludos desde colombia soy seguidor de tu video saludos cuidate
You got “black satin” that’s why it’s not shiny. Get the gloss black from the same company and it’s amazing.
I use the cheap silicon spray from autozone on my tires
Look it up. Silicone is bad for tires.
It does say black satin... meaning its not soposed to shine. So it did do its job.
Dam bro I like your Jeep 💪🏽💪🏽🔥🔥
Armor tire foam is what I use
Atlee Wise yeah I might have to look into different options 👍🏻
I usually put on their tire foam that you use a sponge to put on first and then the spray on tire foam to touch it up and keep it looking good. The armor all tire foam in spray can is about $3 a can I usually put a good bit on my tires and it takes about 1 can for 4 tires
What size tires rims and offset you using on this offroad machine
33x13.50r15 tires with 15x12 rims, not sure about the offset
VehicleTribe what brand if you don’t mind me asking
How do you like your new shocks
I use turtlewax tire shine best
Great content man. Hey do you know the what steering wheel cover you have? Might get one for my XJ, have a link of you got it online?
Wash Machine thank you man! I got it on advance autoparts lol
VehicleTribe ok. Thanks. They usually look so cheesy.
Now that's a nice xj!!
Were did you buy the rims man??
JC go them from a local guy all together tires and rims 👍🏻
I like to use lemon pledge,( furniture polish) it's not too shinny and smells good, just spray it on wait a few minutes and wipe off excess.
steve g didn’t know this
That's not a good idea. There's a petroleum based oil in pledge. That will help break down the rubber
Stop spraying so much
7:37 Do NOT use an applicator sponge with this product. The back of the can tells you to let it dry for 20mins also. You are removing the product!
Jeeps were made for dirt ☝🏽⛰️🏔️🛤️🏞️🏜️🏞️🛣️ next time put shoe shine
Go to oreillys and go up to the counter and ask for “Cover all” it’s a tire shine that dosen’t sling all over the side of ur vehicle, dirt and dust dosen’t stick to it and it last foreverrrr between washes
Why do everyone put on STUPID music?
