Kilian’s “Black Phantom” is so great. Oakcha’s Libra Elixir smells really close, and it’s slight differences are in no way inferior. It smells amazing at a percentage of the cost. Another winter fragrance that’s amazing is “By The Fireplace.” And a great dupe of it I’ve found is “Fireside Marshmallow” by ALT, which, besides “Nicotianna”, is the main fragrance from that company I will vouch for. Oakcha has way better quality production and customer service tho. When it comes to ALT, all you’re paying for is the liquid inside.
I’m a collector but I end up with this rules: - a fresh aromatic fragrance (Versace Pour Homme) - a daytime elegant fragrance (Terre D’Hermes) - a nighttime sexy fragrance (I used to wear The One edp but, due to performance issues, Valentino Uomo Intense) Then I have all the other niche fragrances (want something very cheap? Encre Noire) when I want to experiment with something different, but with these three I’m pretty much covered all the year without spending too much or having to think too hard what to wear (just three main fragrances).
Great list and I'm especially glad to see my #1 favorite fragrance, A-Men, on this list. Gourmand is a great classification because it smells like a food/drink consumed at the table of the gods.
I think instead of advising to buy "your first 5" people should recomend to save up and buy a good quality all around fragrance, this would have saved me a lot of money

I have Eau Sauvage Extrême as my First Fragrance at 15, and I adore the Eau Sauvage range & am getting the Parfum end of next month. I have tried Eau Sauvage & love it, but personally Eau Sauvage Extrême is better. But in this video, I'd pick Eau Sauvage, Obviously.
I would skip on the aquatic and go with a citrus or aromatic fragrance for summer such as Polo Cologne Intense by RL or Lacoste Green, then just citruses for summer as well such as Versace Pour Homme and Lacoste White. I would also skip on the blues. I would add a spicy leather fragrance such as CH Men Privé instead of the orientals, and florals as well such as Moschino Toy Boy. I would also add personally a fougere such as Drakkar Noir, sexy AF more than 40 years old, or some classic chypre such as Polo green, or something close like Givenchy Gentleman '74, a classic leather perfume such as Gucci Guilty Absolute or even Quorum. Greetings sir, take a lot of care
I have no idea why, but Paco Robanne Pour Homme makes me nauseous when I smell it for too long. It is not a bad fragrance, but I much prefer Azzaro Pour Homme. It has a pretty polarizing scent profile- just like the Robanne- and it’s not for everybody, but I think it is quite pleasant. An absolute barbershop scent for sure. For anybody watching this now, I have spotted both fragrances recently: Azzaro Pour Homme is in Ross and Beals Outlet, Paco Robanne Pour Homme is selling in my local Sam’s Club for 30 dollars, alongside Drakkar Noir and a Curve Fragrance (which isn’t too bad, actually). Happy hunting.
Cool water is a great budget option, but I just find the cool water intense and cool water parfum to be way better options than the original edt. I know the og cool water splits ppl into haters and lovers and I just tend to fall into the hater side here because I find it kinda soapy
