Hi, i am struck at the twrp installation. Once you run the fastboot flash recovery command and reboot into terp mode and enter password right?? for me its not happening. and i am not able to locate the mgisk file on my phone storage the folders are not appearing.
7:23 Like many noted here earlier, twrp does not offer to enter device password to decrypt data. You are in the menu after booting. Format data does not help, wipe (data, cache, dalvik) does not help. Going back to (flashing) previous twrp version does not help. The result is encrypted internal storage with illegible folder names.
I have successfully flash "twrp-3.7.0_9-0-davinci.img" but it did not ask me a password now the files are not decrypted. Can I do this procedure again and use what TWRP version (twrp-3.5.2_9-0-davinci.img) you flash?

(if you want to tell me just copy the files into the sd card and boot from it I have (Xiaomi mi 9T) which doesn't even have a socket for a memory card to insert
Which recovery are you using? It's working fine for me on TWRP. Also if you copy files to the "sd card" does it show in the internal storage when you reboot back into the system ? Could be just a naming issue

I tried installing orangefox recovery, and what happened is after flashing the recovery and successfully installing the custom rom, when i go back to recovery it was deleted somehow. Then i was forced to flash the original miui back. Any suggestions? Please Help me out. 😣
Which Rom did you flash ?? Some custom Roms come with their own recovery . But if it’s deleted you don’t have to go back to MIUI you can just go to fast boot and flash the recovery again
@@CrucialTech I used the Evolution X and Pixel experience roms. When i flashed the Pixel experience rom what happened is my recovery git deleted and all other except the recovery was working fine. But when i flashed the evolution x it deleted my recovery and was in a boot loop. That's the issue.

Very good tutorial, but i have a problem. When i drag TWRP davinci image into fastboot flash recovery it says no such file or directory. Have a MI 9T.
If dragging doesn't work you can manually type out the path to the file

You've have to first unlock your bootloader

When you boot into twrp make sure to enter your screen unlock password to unencrypt the data

Reboot the phone as soon as the screen goes black hold the volume up button till it reboots into twrp

Installing TWRP alone will not wipe your device since the bootloader is already unlocked
