Garlic is a superfood, flavors EVERYTHING and boosts immunities. Like oregano, it is one of those “always grow” crops on my suburban homestead
Exactly. 2 of the best for sure! So easy to grow too there's no excuse not to
👍
My grandpa was a firm believer in garlic and lived to be a healthy 99 even through all the grief family gave him over it
To address your ending comment. I’ve been able to get off prescription meds and use organic methods for the most part
I'm a firm believer in it. For years, when I feel like I'm getting sick, I'll eat a raw clove of garlic. Always helps. I'm rarely sick sick. Sure I'll get sinus issues but rarely get a cold, never the flu
@@PalmettoPrepared try roasted garlic oil.
Great book. And "The Lost Book of Herbal Remedies". There is so much to learn.
It's Neverending it seems!
Good stuff. I think it will benefit a lot of ppl, especially in these times, to be more self sustaining. Keep up good work SC brother. Sardinia
Anything that will help keep me or my family out of the doctors office, urgent care, or ER these days is a winner in my book. I appreciate you
remember 90%+ of all our modern medicine had their start in nature.
Great video Anthony
Exactly. And there are still plenty that work just as well as their pill counterparts
Really good information!!!
Thanks Steve. Hope it helps people focus on their own immune system
Think I might have to try making some of that
Dew it! It's freaking easy
what we should learn to make is some Buckley's cold medicine. I'll gather the pine needles lol
Really good information
Double comments rule
@@PalmettoPrepared I would have responded the same response as the other comment lol..
I'd say he's in double tap mode 🏴☠️✌
Great information and love me some garlic.
Thank you! And I love it too. Soo easy to grow
Anthony , good informational video , thanks for sharing , God bless !
Thank you Michael
We have seen great results making garlic tinctures and using them to shorten colds. It’s spicy and can make the cupboard smell like garlic but it has helped us get over many things.
It helps me immensely during cold and flu season. I take it at the first sign of anything and it really helps stop whatever I may have before it really gets a foothold
garlic garlic garlic....my favorite flavoring and herb.... HUGELY medicinal and so very easy to grow. great video and I agree.
Thank you! I had to use it before it sprouted on me. Figured I needed a few more bottles of tincture would be smart to have. They I just dehydrated the rest for garlic powder
Humm.....tincture....just been planting and eating the crap out of it....book seems kewl too.....
Loading up on local honey too...
Well done..Anthony !!
I still have about 20 or so bulbs left from my harvest in June. Some are starting to sprout so I have to use them or lose them. This is a great way to use some. I also have some in the dehydrator for garlic powder
Well said. Thank you
Thank you Palmetto...
I want to get Nicole Asp???n's book on herbal remedies. I seen one of her videos on a nettle tincture and a kudji vine tincture..sur would love to get my hands on some kudji vine..
Stay safe

That's that chick from Alone right?
I'd like to look through it before I buy. Rumor has it the publisher has been running behind and people are waiting months to get it
@@PalmettoPrepared I'm not sure..I had a add for her a couple yrs ago and liked her face and have been watching her stuff since.
@@PalmettoPrepared yes. Nicole Apelian. One of the nation’s best foraging experts
Love this video, you included everything. I have seen so many videos where the amount you should take is not stated.
Thank you so much!!
👍👍
Sounds great 👍. I will probably use vinegar, I can’t stand vodka at all. I don’t drink any alcohol anymore. The only drugs I have had in six years is aspirin and not many of them. 👍😊
ACV works just fine. Just like pickling garlic I'm sure the garlic will be tasty as well
Found you in watching Prepping with Sarge. My grandma used to make her own healing tinctures and teas. Definitely want to learn more.
Check out she is if the woods and the herbal Jedi. Both great channels.
Great video, Anthony. Not getting Notification.
Thank Uncle Al. That seems to be a big issue for alot of people. I must of ticked off the AI
And thanks for the book recommendation!
You're welcome
It's also probably a protective shield during grief
Oh absolutely
I don't want to talk about why i'm here....ugh. Luckily the Spruce Tip Syrup I made works for increased oxygen delivery and high Vit C but it's too sweet to just keep taking it! I can stand it in some tea but I think I need more garlic in my life. :)
People think I'm just blowin smoke when I tell them to make and take this stuff but I swear by it. For years I used to just eat a solid clove of garlic at the onset of sickness, now I take a dropper full under the tongue 3 times a day till symptoms stop. I have yet to need to be on it for more than 2 days
Fantastic Antony ! Thanks for sharing . Peace
Thanks Howie. Peace
Great job! Thanks 😊
Thank you for the straight forward video ☺️
Thank you so much
Don’t forget to add the benefits to lowering your blood pressure and also lowering cholesterol
How long is the shelf life when using vinegar? What size is the jar and how many garlic cloves did use?
Good question. I've never personally done it with vinegar but I would imagine it's something similar to herbal vinegars. Best if used within a year
Why is there no Know How To Use The Tincture?
Take a full dropper and put it under your tongue. Hold it there for several seconds so it can be absorbed into the bloodstream
Would this work for candida overgrowth?
I know oregano is good for that.
I'm sure it will help but cutting sugar will help better
BTW shared with the x
Awesome, hope it helps
Do you have to burp this at all or leave the top on the whole time? I've seen with the honey garlic ferment you do have to burp, but have not been able to find an answer with making alcohol tinctures? Thanks!
Nope. No burping required. Burping is a byproduct of fermentation. Tinctures are just using alcohol to draw out the compounds in the herb you're using
@@PalmettoPrepared great thank you so much and for the informative video!
@@PalmettoPrepared one last question if you don’t mind - is there any concern with botulism in tinctures?
@@laurenholcomb9315 if you use high proof alcohol, no not really. But if you use vinegar or glycerin then yes, the chance is there
@@PalmettoPrepared ok thanks! I just made one like yours and used a 80 proof potato vodka. Thank you!!
