Gluten Free Pie Crust
4 large Eggs
1 cup Corn Syrup
6 Tbs melted Butter
1/2 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Brown Sugar
3 Tbs Bourbon
1 Tbs Gluten Free Flour Blend
1 Tbs Vanilla
1 cup Pecans
1 cup Chocolate Chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Whisk together eggs and next 7 ingredients until thoroughly blended. Stir in pecans and chocolate chips. Pour mixture into pie crust. Bake on the lowest rack of oven for 55 minutes, or until set. Cool for 1 hour.
🥣 Pineapple Casserole Recipe
By Faith and Flour
3/4 cup Sugar
6 Tbs of Gluten Free Flour Blend
1/4 tsp Salt
2 cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese, grated
2 (20 oz cans) Pineapple chunks, drained, and 6 Tbs of juice reserved
4 Tbs Butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease an 8x8 or 9x9 inch casserole dish with butter. In a large bowl, sir together the sugar, flour and salt. Gradually stir in the cheese. Add the drained pineapple and butter, stirring until the ingredients are well combined. Pour into the casserole dish and bake for 25-30, or until golden brown.
🥣 Sweet Potato Soufflé Recipe
By Faith and Flour
3 cups Sweet Potato, cooked, peeled and mashed
1/4 cup Sugar
1/2 tsp Salt
2 Eggs
4 Tbs Butter, softened
1/2 cup Whole Milk
1 tsp Vanilla
Topping:
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1/3 cup Gluten Free Flour Blend
1 cup Pecans, chopped
4 Tbs Butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mex all ingredients (except topping) with an electric mixer. Pour into a buttered 9x13 inch baking dish. Mix topping ingredients thoroughly and spread over the sweet potato mixture. Bake for 35-40 minutes.

Hi sweet friend - yes, I remember your friends from India. I’m sure they enjoyed your wonderful cooking. I was thinking as I watched you clean your induction stove top that I bet you are loving it. I love mine and it’s so easy to clean. I remember you struggling with cleaning your gas stove. I love your Christmas decorating too I think it looks just perfect. I did much less also I didn’t even put up a tree. We are all going up to Melissa‘s in Dallas for Christmas this year. But I did decorate the mantle and the coffee table and the foyer and the dining room table and some in the kitchen so it looks festive. I really like your garland it looks so real and nice the way you have it hung. I am feeling just so good. The physical therapy I’m doing is just helping me so much. They said even if when you were old like me you walk and keep active that’s good but that’s not really enough. You need to exercise all these different muscles and you need to work on your balance. All of that has been really helping me. In addition I’m trying to eat nutrient rich foods that will nourish my body and make it stronger. I have been approved for one more month of physical therapy and by that time they think I should not need any kind of aid in walking. Now I’m still using my walker because of all the falls I’ve had. Anyway I am happy and encouraged with the way things are going and I give all praise and honor and glory to our Savior Jesus. Where would we be without him love in Christ

The tradition in our church is that the Wise Men visited on Epiphany, or 12 days after His birth, which represents the first manifestation of Christ to the Gentiles. But I’m also aware that there are scholars who suggest a later date. One of those things where experts disagree, lol. Either way, whether 12 days of 2 years, it makes sense to me to relocate the Magi away from the nativity. I like how you placed them with the star…on the road, so to speak. Just a note--always store your wine bottles with the neck angled down. That makes sure the cork stays moist as it stays in contact with the wine. The wine will keep longer if the cork doesn't dry out. Love your kitchen!

I have also toned down on a bunch of our decorations and really like it better. Your home looks really nice for the holidays, I really like it. All the family has their special dishes so I don't have a lot of cooking to do.
All the family has their assigned dishes to make. I do fix a Christmas Eve supper the night before for our immediate family. It is homemade beef stew, salad, and different little sandwiches. Plus vared desserts. Gifts opened on Christmas morning. Then a large lunch. That we all contribute to.This has worked for us for many years. After lunch all the family goes outside for a snowball fight. The snowballs are the large marshmallows. I laugh because the animals run after the marshmallows. Everyone has so much fun.God Bless You and Family

Love that you relocate the Wise Men! I don’t put Baby Jesus in the manger until Christmas morning. I will either wrap Him and put Him under the tree for my children to find Christmas morning or I send them on a treasure hunt to find Him.

The TV screen changer is a fantastic idea; so pretty. I love nativity scenes for Christmas. After all, that's the reason for the season.
I've found that with pre-made pie shells, I have to get the deep dish ones, even if the recipe doesn't call for them. The commercial shells are always a lot shallower than your pie plates at home.

Your home is lovely and so is all your cooking and baking. If you're still looking for something to put in that corner where your Christmas tree is now a larger round side table with a larger table lamp would look lovely there. Or a taller fiddle leaf fig plant or a floor lamp. Just a few thoughs. I recently had an empty corner across from our couches and I put an armchair, small round side table next to the chair and a floor lamp behind it and it filled the area beautifully in our living room. I just play around until I like the look. Another corner I put a round side table with a larger table lamp and a fiddle leaf fig plant.

Hi Robin, I have a pie crust recipe that I used pre-gluten free. We are able to use it with the gfJules "nearly normal" flour blend with great success. My husband who is not gluten free also loves that I can still bake tasty pies for him, lol. You should be able to use it with any family favorite crust recipe. You can either purchase the blend from her site, or she also has a recipe for it with modifications (that is what I use because we can't have the cornstarch in the blend.)
3 c flour blend
1 1/4 shortening (I use Spectrum)
1 tsp salt
1 egg, well beaten
1 Tbs apple cider vinegar or vodka
5 Tbs cold water
Combine the flour, salt, and shortening and mix until it looks crumbly and pea-sized. Add the beaten egg, vinegar or vodka, and water and blend until just holds together, forming a dough. Roll into a ball and cut in half. Keep one half covered while rolling out the other to fit your pie tin. Use as directed by pie recipe.

I have the same Nativity set. You have a few more piece that I haven’t added because of storage and space. Hubby has a pretty extensive nutcracker collection that takes a lot of space. I also swapped out or Christmas china last week. I’ve done all I’m going to do indoors. I think he still has some things he wants to do outside.

Great recipes and decorating. I'm minimalist in my decorating. Daniel likes to break shiny things and pottery so I mostly decorate with compostable things like pumpkins and pinecones.

Hi, Robin! I watched this while sewing new cushion covers for two of our chairs. At the end of the video, I realized I should've msde some covers out of Christmas fabric or at least some red fabric. I used plain old beige--which is still nice, but a missed opportunity for more Christmas.😆

I always enjoy your videos! You are very fortunate to have such a lovely home! When my mother made the pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving the mix was always too much for the pie shell. My grandmother did not like the seasonings so my mother put aside a small batch and placed in a small baking dish without the crust also. My grandmother enjoyed just eating the pumpkin mix like pudding. I still to this day do the same thing! I just might try some of those recipes. Also, I did not realize how beautiful Switzerland is. I was doing some Christmas decorating along with you and decided to scale back this year. I love the look. I’ve collected Hallmark ornaments for years and only put out my absolute favorite ones. I did the same as you to prep for Thanksgiving and it went off without a hitch and I wasn’t frazzled so I could enjoy the gathering. My husband is wonderful, too, doing the clean up. Your house looks beautiful. I like minimal decorative pieces as opposed to over the top. You can enjoy them more. Seeing you wear aprons reminds me of my mom, who wore one while cooking. What a delight to sit down after a day of cleaning and decorating to watch your video, Robin! I found it both relaxing and inspiring. The music was lovely and I found myself singing along. I have also kept things simple this year, as I continue to struggle with a herniated disc and I'm not supposed to do tasks that involve bending forward (watching Patrick vacuum, and you do simple tasks like loading and unloading the dishwasher, etc. had me a little envious actually. Who would have thought a year ago, I'd be envious of something like that 😃. I think Patrick is great! I also have a very supportive husband, although I never realized how independent I'm determined to be until my recent limitations). This year I am using the snowflake mantel hooks that you recommended last year. I was able to purchase a set but had to wait an entire year to use them. They work great! Thank you for the recommendation. I appreciate all of the care and attention that you put into your videos. Have a great week!

@@janarichards5511 Their flour blend recipe does include potato starch, but you can use your own flour blend as well. I use my own flour blend.
You can use gloves to help fluff out the branches, lve tried it and it works really well and much easier on your hands…

Our tradition is that Baby Jesus only appears on Christmas morning, and the Wise Kings (Les Rois Mages as we call them in France) only reach the manger on Epiphany day, November 6th. I remember my parents and grandparents doing it, so I do the same, and now my children and grandchildren do it too and they love it 💗

Thank you Michelle! Caraway cookware is expensive, but as much cooking as I do, I think that it’s definitely worth it. I especially like the nontoxic ceramic compared to other nonstick cookware on the market. If you treat it well, I think it will last for years. Do you have a recipe for what you were making in the instant pot? It looked like chicken broth.
Hi Carrie! I don't really have a recipe. I just make bone broth with the turkey bones, an onion, a couple of carrots and celery stalks, a clove or two of garlic, some peppercorns, a couple of Tbsp of apple cider vinegar and water (enough to cover everything) and put my instant pot on the Broth setting. It will cook for 3 hours and then I usually set it to go for one more cycle for a total of 6 hours. That's it! 😉😄💛
Hi Robin, lovely video as usual. I also prepared all my sides the day before Thanksgiving….I still managed to be a little frazzled the day of 😮 We were 9 people and it gets a little crazy .

You should be able to get the RUclips app for you TV. Within RUclips search for “winter TV art” or “Christmas TV art” and you will have lots of choices. They are basically long videos that act as screen savers. I hope you have fun with it too!
