There was a mistake in the video I thought I rectified. When mentioning Gastronite's new Signature Move, it doesn't fully show up on screen. All I can do is apologise and I hope something like this doesn't happen again. I hope you enjoyed the video regardless!
Mewsifur is literally the best fakemon name I’ve ever heard. I really like the Buttercub line and the Occat line, if the game was real I might make my partner trade me one of them so I could use both.
This is really a unique idea! We haven't had ANYTHING like this with Starters since the ele-monkeys in Unova/BW. I would love to have a Real game that has more than 1 Starter trio... (Something like Birch giving you more Starters a la Post-Game in ORAS, but during your main play though-at certain points the Professor will give you another Starter because you've proven invaluable to their Research, etc. and it's from a new Trio-maybe not even in the Dex, ?)
honestly, i would probably go for occat. it's not a traditional starter, but i love cats and i personally like it more than the official starters. if i were to choose an official one, i'd go for buttercub.
Tough choice! I generally don't like many fighting types, but I think that's what I have to go with out of all 6. Do you think you would be able to catch any of the other starters elsewhere in the game, perhaps post-gane catches? Anyway, love the 2nd set of starters and I'm really looking forward to your box legendaries.
Here is my ideas Wild spirit could maybe grant the focus energy effect. Fast return could be a u-turn type move. And crystal passion could have a chance of inflicting the attract status effect regardless of gender. But that’s just a suggestion
This idea is so incredible! I love the fact that you don't get to choose a traditional starter but you get to choose from a secondary batch of starters 🤩🤩🤩
I’m glad we have a fully evolved pure flying type that’s not a legendary, I might even just not take the normal starter and take the flying type starter
Hi@@CroneoRegionyou probably won’t read this after all this time but I was so rude I don’t even understand what I meant anymore like “I WILL” like what da heck is wrong with me

I LOVE this concept. Having to choose a SECOND, bootleg starter because you're broke or just cheap is SO funny and interesting. Galagrine is EASILY my favorite but Mewcifer is a distant second. I'm just not that into furbait, but I do like how Mewcifer plays 2 roles as a starter AND the furbait. I would definitely go for the actual starters and get the lion one, (I forgot its name) but I think there should be a way to get the bootleg starters early game too, because I LOVE Galagrine so much. And yes I use a lot of caps for emphasis.
There would be a way to get the 5 starters you don't pick but it'd be post game or through trading. Also Mewsifur isn't meant to be *the* furbait but I've accidentally made a few lol
I would’ve made the signature abilities of the new starters alter stats other than Attack The Fighting starter kinda has to be Attack, unless you made it a special attacker based on the fairy influence, which could work But the Flying could be Speed And the Rock could be defence Also, I was kinda worried looking at the three bootleg starter base forms. The fighting one was my favourite but it seemed like it was gonna become bipedal. The flying one looked cool, but its legs were longer than a normal falcon so I thought maybe it was gonna get lanky and stretched out like Intellion, and im personally not a huge fan of the rock starter. But all three Final stages absolutely rule. I think I would probably still go for the fighting one, but its tough. Among my favourite fan made starters, and leagues cooler than the premium starters.
Here's my idea for the signature moves: Wild Spirit: Fighting type special move. 100 power 85 accuracy? Has a 50% chance of confusing the opponent. All are just ideas. Not really balanced and such but...
not sure how I feel about the 50% chance of infatuation but it working on Pokémon regardless of gender is really cool. I was thinking of including a minor tweak to infatuation to be a bit more inclusive, but it'd be rare (yeah I'm considering making gay and bi Pokémon a thing but it'd be rare and most times it works the same way with a few exceptions) Also with a name like Fast Return I think it should be priority too xD
I mean... A 100 power pririty flying move seems a bit op, since you can't really rely on imunity but the accuracy would make it seem more balanced. As for the Rock type mive, yes 50% does sound a lot, but with the accuracy it isn't that great. Maybe put the accuracy to 30% like flinchibg moves woyld be better

I'm not here to start anything, I'm not going to argue with anyone about this, but I can't accept that the Peregrine falcon is the fastest animal. I shouldn't count because it just falls out of the sky. It is undoubtedly the animal that can have the highest point A to B, and by definition, it is the fastest, but I just don't think it should count.
The more I think about it, the less I see the difference between that and a cat jumping off of a roof. Both climbed up with their own power, and both fell using gravity. Of course, with this poor example the falcon would still be faster. I just talked myself into it, I accept it now. Well, now everyone can read this and it might be funny to read, so I guess I won't delete it. I hope this gave you a laugh.
I mean to be fair it’s just falling…If we count falling then I’m sure we could find some animal that can fall faster, it’d just be immoral to do so as that’d count us throwing animals who can’t fly out of a plane to their death.
I'm torn between Mewsifur and Gastronite. They're both cool and cute, and I prefer them to any of the Premiums. I have two Nintendo Accounts, so maybe I'd do a run with either.
If the grass starters are based on extinct animals, the fire starters are based on the Chinese zodiac and the water starters are based on weapons (And semi aquatic creatures), then what do fighting, flying and rock type starters based on and why?
They were just based on creatures I wanted to do. Also crocodiles aren't on the Chinese Zodiac, neither are shrews and foxes, so who's to say all the theories work. I used them as a basis for my Grass/Fire/Water trio just to narrow the playing field for them but I don't take them as gospel
@@CroneoRegion very true, yeah you are right they are perfect as they are just two stages. I would be happy with any of the starter Pokémon. I love ❤️ all your designs. I hope that your designs become real pokemon. I would buy the games.
The sad thing is if GameFreak released these designs, fans would complain about how their secondary types are so obvious, and why it's stupid that they are one type only.
@@CroneoRegion Every pokemon starter has a theme. If the premium ones can have a theme? Why not bootlegs? I got the theme ideas for them, so i'll make it worth your while.
Making Mewsifur a Fairy type would overlap with the Grass type in this region. Plus, I wanted them all to be mono type because I wanted to keep the type triangle pure because this hasn't been done by the official series before. I think they work as mono types.
Aw yes! Capitalism ruins the journey! But seriously, I love musifer, its like Meowscarada's edgy cousin! Great designs. Coincidentally my own region had a black cat pokemon associated with fire... wonder if they'd get along!
funnily enough, all these were released before we knew about the final forms. heck, some of these were designed before Scarlet and Violet were revealed!
Actually, I'm not sure. Obviously if it isn't shiny you could breed for one. On the one hand, shiny locks are annoying, but on the other it makes more plot sense that they wouldn't be.
I can't explain just how much I both laugh and cringe at your pronunciation of samhain. It sounds more like "sa-win". It's actually famously mispronounced in the Halloween series when the psychologist explains that samhain is the inspiration for Michael Myres, which you think they'd have made an effort to pronounce it right considering its the word for Halloween (Oíche Shamhna being derived from Samhain). It's an easy mistake though and honestly I can't blame you. Even when we look at all the different celtic languages from Scots to Welsh to Irish they all have very different pronunciation and their own dialects.
Ah I see the professor wants me to pay for a premium starter.. next game. But on the real, seriously fantastic desighns, even if I do now desire the evil team to take that professor away because extortion while I then tell them, oh you want me to save you .. sure I can give you the premium treatment, for 5000 poke dollars, if this is ever made into an actual game, that would then make me want to play it.
that isn't the plot but the plot is definitely seeing this extortionate behaviour as in the wrong, which is why there's a second set of starters at all.
@@CroneoRegion right but.. that doesn't make sense .. Because the guy who is extorting is the one who says oh here have the non premium ones you poor fool, that makes them come across as even more of a jerk, not oh hey cool I get to choose the worse starters with only 2 stages, like from a story perspective your making people hate him, if that's the goal cool but you run the risk of people just saying no thanks over all if the main character doesn't get just desert to that guy, look at it this way, if someone says to another person oh no your far too poor, get out of the store, here have the free stuff, it really doesn't lend well to people liking being treated that way and is completley understandible why they'd develop a strong distatetowards him

@@CroneoRegion Every pokemon starter has a theme. If the premium ones can have a theme? Why not bootlegs? I got the theme ideas for them, so i'll make it worth your while.
As the Sussy Baka I am I must choose calcifera
I would have made
Mewsifur a Fighting/Fairy Type
Galegrine a Flying/Psychic
and keep Gastronite a pure Rock type.
Gastronite.
Ok
Water type starter
will the "Bootleg" starters be shiny-locked?
Actually, I'm not sure. Obviously if it isn't shiny you could breed for one. On the one hand, shiny locks are annoying, but on the other it makes more plot sense that they wouldn't be.
@@CroneoRegion you did not show Occat shiny :(
but i will choose Falcoath :)
the shinies are on my instagram
i need 5 grand now!!!!!!!!!!! i need Perry!!!!!!!!!!
don't worry, it's the exact amount you have on you when asked

I can't explain just how much I both laugh and cringe at your pronunciation of samhain. It sounds more like "sa-win". It's actually famously mispronounced in the Halloween series when the psychologist explains that samhain is the inspiration for Michael Myres, which you think they'd have made an effort to pronounce it right considering its the word for Halloween (Oíche Shamhna being derived from Samhain). It's an easy mistake though and honestly I can't blame you. Even when we look at all the different celtic languages from Scots to Welsh to Irish they all have very different pronunciation and their own dialects.
thank you for pointing that out. if I ever mention Samhain in future I'll definitely try to pronounce it correctly now that I know I got it wrong
@@CroneoRegion aye no worries, just thought you'd like to know, no hate, if I wasn't Irish I would have pronounced it the same
Give me Mewsifur

why do the cats always become furries 😭
It made sense for the design, plus most fighting types are bipedal anyways. Also my Grass starter is feline and quadrupedal.
