Great job. I watched a carpenter of 40 years do a similar job and you got same result. I think pointing out the critical aspects to viewers would help eg getting both post and replacement measurement spot on, getting the right angles flat, painting the timber where it joins. Talented people like yourself do it second nature but viewers can overlook key aspects. I did a scarf joint myself (home handyman) and getting both the original post and replacement is super tricky to get tight flush fit so Kudos to you.
