My 05 Saturn ION has really surprised me! Like any car there are pros & cons..... After 18 months of daily driving 50+ miles per day bought used with about 88 thousand miles on it. I'll just tell you the con's I've experienced... *Check Gas Cap displays every so often *Key stuck in ignition/ youtube helped me remedy that *Radio is junk, If it's hot inside ur car it will act stupid if it's to cold inside the car it malfunctions as well "as well as anyone's ion radio I've ever spoke with" ***Final bit of advise when changing the plugs put the same brand bk in check gap specs no matter what anyone tells you, same time replace the rubber boots and be very careful with the distributor plate as it may crack if forced or overnighted. My ION has been a great car I recommend it too anyone
I actually figured why my trunk wouldnt open, I looked on the latch on the trunk and realized there was a lock switch that prevents the button from working, turns out it wasnt even broken :)
I have almost this exact same car except mine is 2004. Two things wrong that I would like to fix but its not necessary to fix. One is the mirror, the joy stick thing broke and the only way to adjust the mirror is to wind down the windows and stick your hand out and move it that way. Two is the trunk button does not open the trunk anymore and I dont know why, the trunk can still be opened with a key so its not big deal. Do you know how I can fix any of this?

I'm trying to figure out my trim level... it looks exactly like this but have power windows and doors.
That would be a 2 if the radio looks like this one, 3 if its nicer.
