I love how the old man’s quiet demeanor showed that strength doesn’t always come with aggression. Respect really is earned through character, not loud words. 🙌🏾💯
😢 *I imagine he carried on his shoulders not only the pain of the battlefield, but also the sadness of witnessing society sometimes forget the core values: respect and empathy. His words, not many but enough to move a whole generation of young people, awakening those around him.* ❤🙏 *I am a storyteller from the Eastern United States. Nice to meet you*
I live in Texas also. I remember returning from RVN. I was still on crutches after having been hit several times in the thigh. I remember one of those respectful teenagers spitting on my uniform and telling me that I was a “baby killer “.Are these the kids that you are talking about?
Are you a corporation? Because they are the only ones the military fight for. The last time the military was needed to fight for the U.S. the British still wore red coats...
Wow, this is such a powerful reminder of how we should never judge someone based on appearances. It's heartbreaking to see how those thugs treated the old man, but it’s amazing how his strength and dignity as a Vietnam veteran shone through in the end. Shows that you never really know the story of the person you're dealing with. Let’s all take a moment to show respect for our elders, especially those who’ve sacrificed so much for us. 🙏🏼
What incredible time and STORY!! PRAISE THE LORD FOR PEOPLE LIKE THAT GENTLEMAN 🙏 🙏 JESUS IS ALL ABOUT LOVE... TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER. GOD BLESS YOU ALL...
I am a battle scared veteran. Fought many battles but I always came out on top. Each evening at 1700 hrs, my Mom and Dad called me in for supper. Those days were the worst. I am a Army Veteran having served not in Vietnam, but in Korea during the Vietnam War. I served with a few of those who served in Vietnam. And even the smallest was someone to be reckon with. Hats off to all who served our great country. And as always, one veteran to another: WELCOME HOME
I had a similar story unfold many years ago and it led to a physical altercation. In the end the bully and his brother later apologized for their actions.
To everyone who reads this, though we’re strangers and may never cross paths, I want you to know that I genuinely wish you all the best that life has to offer. May you find strength in tough times, joy in the little things, and the courage to pursue what truly matters to you. No matter where life takes you, I hope luck finds you when you need it most, and that kindness, peace, and fulfillment fill your journey.
The dialogue is realistic and impactful. The script avoids clichés and utilizes meaningful silences to enhance the emotional weight of the scenes. The veteran's words carry immense power and wisdom.
Youths need to be instructed in the sacrifices of those who fought to build the nation from the achievements of which they benefit and must respect. Those who struggled on behalf of their nation should never have to suffer indignities.
An incredibly powerful story that reminds us all about the value of respect and understanding. The old man's quiet strength was more impactful than any loud words or actions. Thank you for sharing this meaningful lesson. 🙌✨
@@carification That’s such a beautiful memory! It’s inspiring to see how a meaningful encounter can leave a lifelong impact. Thank you for sharing your story! 😊👏
I concur with what the Vietnam veteran said about the group of boys in the bus in respect of their attitude... It is the psychology of arrogance and disrespect.... It is the fear that they are carrying around in their beings that is urging them to display infront of people with disdain and disparagement that camouflage their true identity.... It's a pity when they come across someone who will teach a lesson... That is exactly happened in this scenario....
Unfortunately, some of these young punks like red hoodie, never mature they turn into federal prisoners because they think the world owes them a living
You're absolutely right-there’s still so much work to do. Change starts with awareness, and conversations like these are a step in the right direction.
@ It should be titled “veteran struggles”,as anyone can be subjected to this treatment. Many homeless individuals are veterans suffering from PTSD,and their inability to return to society and be a functional citizen. It affects all of us differently. That’s the part that you don’t get.
A modern liberated society. has the problem that too many over liberated families are forgetting to teach the younger members to respect elders, the elderly also known as senior citizens. The education system cannot succeed when failure is occurring at home . There is no place for rudeness and idiotic behavior on public transport.
Why do we have to have this language all the time? Everywhere one turns, the F word or worse will come out of mouths. why? Can people not express themselves with language anymore ?
Well if it was the final stop why did people stay on the buy did you have to drag it out for more ads did you make enough money the dragging out of the story made it boring i never subscribe to that channel

6:38 The flashback to his time in Vietnam was so vivid. It shows how much strength comes from enduring real hardships. 💔

The war that can be won without a single shot of bullets but with a few words of sense.

This is what the glass generation needs to learn: respect

What the heck is wrong with young people today? The lesson they would quickly learn is how bad they messed up.
Very good , how true. We've much to learn
