    Awesome board, great build. It looked like you let the panel coat dry before pulling the tape on the blue, but then you wiped off the drips, but the panel lines came out clean and sharp?! Definitely looking forward to seeing more videos 🤙

    Great work. Interesting that you prefer to use a drill with sanding pad attached over your sander polisher. None the less you've got the drill technique dialled. Well done

    • @CameronSardo
      @CameronSardo  2 года назад

      @@6to6surf4 I put my panels on after sanding the first hot coat, so after putting on the second hot coat, it's up to you what kind of finish you'd like to sand it to. I haven't tried skipping the second hot coat though if that's what you're referring to.

    hey man great job for the board and video ! i wanna shape soon and your videos are very inpirating. I like colors & design too
    I was just asking why dont u pre-drill the leash plug hole by hand , with a smaller drill bit before doing it with the machine. We can see that you're skidding a bit the center / middle point. Sorry for my bad english.

    • @CameronSardo
      @CameronSardo  Год назад +1

      glad to hear you enjoyed the videos! :)
      as for the leash plug, pre drilling with a smaller bit beforehand is a great idea. I’ve been learning and improving as i make these videos as well so my techniques are definitely not perfect.

    • @CameronSardo

      I actually show how i clean my brushes in the second to last video i uploaded but if you don’t feel like looking through it i pretty much just wash them in acetone

    Any advice for adding a rice paper logo to a black surf board? I have tried glassing on the foam directly and have tried adding graphics between layers of fibreglass- both times the logo fades to black

    • @CameronSardo
      @CameronSardo  2 года назад +1

      yeah i’ve found the same. i’ve seen friends get rice paper prints from this place called boardlams (in southern california) and the ink is fully opaque. not sure if you could get the same effect with an at home printer

      i use one layer of 6oz E fiberglass for the bottom and two layers for the top. around 50oz of laminating resin for either side for a board this size.
