Awesome board, great build. It looked like you let the panel coat dry before pulling the tape on the blue, but then you wiped off the drips, but the panel lines came out clean and sharp?! Definitely looking forward to seeing more videos 🤙
Great work. Interesting that you prefer to use a drill with sanding pad attached over your sander polisher. None the less you've got the drill technique dialled. Well done
@@6to6surf4 I put my panels on after sanding the first hot coat, so after putting on the second hot coat, it's up to you what kind of finish you'd like to sand it to. I haven't tried skipping the second hot coat though if that's what you're referring to.
hey man great job for the board and video ! i wanna shape soon and your videos are very inpirating. I like colors & design too I was just asking why dont u pre-drill the leash plug hole by hand , with a smaller drill bit before doing it with the machine. We can see that you're skidding a bit the center / middle point. Sorry for my bad english.
glad to hear you enjoyed the videos! :) as for the leash plug, pre drilling with a smaller bit beforehand is a great idea. I’ve been learning and improving as i make these videos as well so my techniques are definitely not perfect.
I actually show how i clean my brushes in the second to last video i uploaded but if you don’t feel like looking through it i pretty much just wash them in acetone
Any advice for adding a rice paper logo to a black surf board? I have tried glassing on the foam directly and have tried adding graphics between layers of fibreglass- both times the logo fades to black
yeah i’ve found the same. i’ve seen friends get rice paper prints from this place called boardlams (in southern california) and the ink is fully opaque. not sure if you could get the same effect with an at home printer
Working outside of the box and made an ace board. That’s a soul craft bud🤘🏽
Great finish. No pinline cutlap as well. Awesome. 👍👍👍

That's a beauty. I had a 7'6" Harbour and a 7'8" Stewart Hydrohull
Beautiful work! Subscribed.

Now I know why my new custom takes four months to get out of glassing.

Steady hand.

what kind of resin are you using?
How do you clean the brush after the hot coat? Or is it one brush per use?

@@CameronSardo so nice bro tnx keep doing better videos for us
@@CameronSardo i saw it bro great job
Do you have replace the paint brush after every glassing job?
No I'll usually clean them out with acetone and get at least a few uses out of each brush
how do i do a resin panel on the rails, both the deck and bottom? do i need to tape it on the apex of the rail similar to hoat coating?
i actually haven’t it myself but that’s exactly how i’ve seen it done by friends
@@CameronSardo thanks
how much resin to use? and what kind of fiberglass to use?
i use one layer of 6oz E fiberglass for the bottom and two layers for the top. around 50oz of laminating resin for either side for a board this size.
Wow the crows outside was really digging this! At first I thought he was making a fake stringer? This dude must be microdosing!
Bro, can you give the details of mixing (resins).
you mean for the laminating or the panels?
Now what kind of deal can I get for this? 500 600 700? Let's Make a deal! Couple of ounces of Bud!
It really hurts when I listen to that tape being pulled off! You could use that s*** to play insurgents at Guantanamo!
Dude hope you're wearing ear plugs! Cuz you'll be having some crazy ass dreams after hearing this s***!
