2:11:40 @Emily D Baker 💯Yes ma’am!!👏🏽👏🏽💪🏽⚖️⚖️🗣 The secrecy, censorship, and stigma surrounding sexual violence that is shoved onto **the victims** of these crimes are huge reasons many are reported incredibly late- or never. Survivors have already been through ENOUGH- we have to stop adding to their trauma by allowing them to be seemingly forced into silence, ridiculed, or disbelieved… We need to know *it is OK to talk about these things!!* Again, thank you. 🤓🤘🏽💋🔮⚖️
Thank you. I've been saying this from the beginning. Rottenborn with his speed reading tabloid headlines and ill gotten texts about being late to sets, tried to set it up as Johnny had a bad reputation, nobody liked working with him and Amber didn't ruin his life,he did. The very next breath, poor little unknown Amber didn't stand a chance of 'getting help' because everyone worships Johnny. I don't know why him and Elaine both didn't just stomp their feet, whine and throw a spoiled teenager tantrum, just like Amber, because they way they flip flopped around always blaming someone else, even if it completely contradicted what they said 5 minutes before, was right in line with Amber's personality disorders.
I had felt sorry for Elaine during the trial thinking her actions were down to fighting between trying to put forth a good defence and stay true to her clients instructions - I stand corrected it was just unprofessionalism and the same arrogance and entitlement as her client
I agree 100%! I thought of her as a grandma, just kinda frazzled, but after hearing some of this stuff, she was very unproffesional and did things she Knew were wrong and Yes, just like her client. I think Rottenborn got a shity end of the stick. I bet he wanted to run the case differently. Their mistake was concentrating on Drugs.
I rolled my eyes a lot at her bad questioning, but figured it was just the battle of fighting a case you knew wasn't going well. My sympathy waned in the late days when she mocked Johnny and all facade broke. the shit we've seen post-trial is just just slimy and abhorrent, and I completely lost all respect.
Hi Emily, I am a grandmother from Northern Ireland. I started watching you from March this year. I feel you are a very good, kind and lovely person. Just love listening to your show. Keep up the good work!
Ireland is a bucket list destination for me! Glad you found our favorite lawyer! Check out Natalie Lawyer Chick if you’re interested in commentary from a “fair” practicing defense attorney too. She’s fantastic
For the decision to say “F you RUclips censorship/demonetization - I know you don’t need this but I want to support creators that speak truth and honesty. Thank you EDB ❤
I’m sorry but if Elaine’s behavior isn’t unethical there’s something wrong with our jurisprudence system! She defied the judge multiple times, behaved in an underhanded manner repeatedly and proffered clearly fake evidence! Two sets of pictures that were clearly the same picture with different editing! How is that not a matter for the bar?!? Anyone with eyes can see those photos are identical! It’s beyond and zealous representation shouldn’t include perpetuating a fraud on the court!
I agree. Amber Heard was surrounded by unscrupulous people during the whole trial, from her legal team, to her witnesses, to her experts. Like speaks to like. No one with integrity would agree to work with/for her.
I agree with you about defying the judge. She definitely said plenty of things she had no place saying in front of the jury. However, I do have slightly different ideas about the pictures. If anything, to me the pictures were the most damning evidence in favor of JD’s case. But you have to remember two things. First, it is AH’s lawyer’s job to make AH’s argument to the jury. It is the jury’s job to determine if the evidence is fraudulent, and they clearly made the right call on that. It is not AH’s lawyer’s job to edit the evidence to make sure no fraudulent evidence appears before the jury. You could argue it was a STRATEGIC mistake because the pictures were so obviously faked, but I think it is a bit far to say it was unethical. Using that logic, every lawyer who is defending a pretty clearly guilty defendant that is pleading not guilty shouldn’t be allowed to give a not guilty plea on behalf of the defendant because the plea is obviously perjury. I don’t ever want to be in a legal system where my lawyer can’t make my argument to the jury because s/he has an ethical duty to judge whether or not the evidence they are presenting is fraudulent. It is entirely possible for me to be accused of a crime that I didn’t do and for my lawyer to believe my real evidence is fraudulent. But it isn’t lawyer’s job to judge it. It’s the jury’s job to judge it. In the strategy side, the pictures definitely hurt AH, but there are two things to consider. First, AH may have believed the pictures were great evidence and she may have insisted against the advice of her legal team on submitting them as evidence. Or maybe they knew if they didn’t submit the pictures JD’s team would submit them, so it’s better to submit them yourself and hope the fact that you are the one who submitted them will make the jury more likely to believe you stand behind the truth of the pictures and aren’t ashamed of them. But yes, several of the things she tried to pull, especially since she pulled a lot of it in front of the jury, does at least deserve some kind of warning or sanctions. She may not be used to jury trials, so maybe she can do better next time, but she absolutely needs to receive the message that the flexibility given to her to advocate for her client doesn’t include saying inappropriate things in front of the jury or even saying things in public that are potentially defamatory in view of the jury verdict.
If you look closely at the pictures, why would a calender from January still be on the fridge? The pictures were probably taken before the event even occured
@@Astro_Lun8_Exo not to defend her in any way, but I still have a calendar from November 2021 beside my front door my adhd just hasn't decided to move it yet
every time elaine says “we won” I want to rip my wig off and toss it across the room. YOU didn’t win anything. YOU weren’t a defendant in that case. that was a win (and I use the term _very_ loosely) for the SUN, not for AH
Hahaha... she is so annoying in her interviews post trial!!! But I gotta say, watching AH (interview) where she says..."You mean the same man that convinced the world he has scissors for hands?" That makes me want to pull my hair out! Craziness!
I wouldn't wish financial ruin on anyone, but I do want her held accountable on something, she has done a lot of illegal shit that the everyday person would have been hauled into court and charged. I hate the fact that because she is in the spotlight
If you mean financial ruin, her credit score gets reset down to 500, I'm ok with it. If it means she has to get a job based on her education and qualifications, I'm ok with that too. If it means she actually has to WORK I'm still ok with it. She tried to strip him of everything he had worked for. Why should be allowed anything when she lost? She should get enough money to get a normal apartment and the down for her utilities. Not cable, not internet. No luxuries. She should find out what real life is
"Your microphone Elaine!", and "This is my nightmare, seeing multiple Ms Bredehofts..." The comedy gold continues, absolutely hilarious! Your reactions are the best Emily.
Emily!! I just finished jury duty today! After we returned the verdict, the judge came to chat with us and answer any questions we had. I asked about situations where there weren't any objections, but he called up counsel and then they had to backtrack and lay foundation. He was like, you noticed that? You must watch a lot of court shows. I was like, yup. 😂 It was when the attorneys forgot they hadn't entered an exhibit into evidence yet lol. I also told him I wasn't happy to be chosen for the jury, but then testimony started and I remembered how NOSY I am! 😂
It was a breach of contract case about concrete. I had to listen to people argue about concrete for three days. I now know who to avoid in town when it comes to concrete, and I also know exactly who I would want to call if I ever needed legal representation. Both attorneys did a great job, but the plaintiff's attorney stood out as being an excellent trial attorney. Total class act, too. When the judge asked if he had a rebuttal to the defense closing, he got up and said that it's kinda weird that he gets another chance to speak without the defense getting to respond, and he didn't want to make any more argument to us at this point. He just wanted to thank us again for our time and attention and for the deliberations we would be doing.
This far, my only experience with court is waiting in the witness room, only to find out after hours of boredom, that they decided to change their plea to guilty, so no trial. If they'd just made that plea a week earlier... Argh! At least my next court date I will have 2 colleagues with me. I Been called to jury duty 3 times, and not selected either time. Never had to say a thing. The cases have changed venue due to a plea change or a deal being made.
@@evanescentlili I have only been called once and the judge excused me because I worked for their contracted probation provider and we were short staffed. This was a very small town. Lol
👩⚖️ “I am aware of the meaning of mensrea. What I’m not aware of is why you’re giving me a vocabulary lesson instead of questioning your witness” 😂 gotta love it
@Major Tom ...it was towards the beginning of when she started talking about JD trial. Maybe around the 50 min mark? She was quoting Legally Blonde. It was when Emily was reading the part about Rottenborn quoting case law to the judge in a sidebar.
This case is an amazing example to divorce quietly and take your settlement and move on. If Amber hand just stayed quiet, taken her money, and went on to continue working she would have been fine.
@@melanieinhobson3595 she had loreals back, she could have become the face of loreal. She destroyed herself due to idiocy. People who call her a sociopath truly don't know the difference between borderlines+histrionics and sociopaths... the latter won't be found out unless they do a very serious crime because they are smarter on how to convince and get evidence. The first act by emotion and just add shit up because they think it's believable
Even if I hadn't heard a single word of Heard's testimony, the sheer level of overt fuckery by her team being revealed here would have convinced me they were certain of her guilt from the start.
The low class, underhanded, unprofessional way her legal team presented their case is an obvious sign of a lie running amuck! I can’t believe EVERYONE can’t see that!! It’s obvious they were trying to con everyone. Bullshitters do have a type- they flock together….
Do you really think they knew? I had to tell myself that they must have sincerely believed her, and then once certain things came out during the trial, they started to see that maybe they were wrong. Idk why, but I don’t think I would have been able to watch it at all if I knew that even her defense was in on this. I really didn’t want to believe it. 😔
Alex Becker said on a live that Johnny had to change his phone number because someone had forgotten to cross out his number on a document that was shown in the courtroom. So I don't feel sorry for that law office, their number is public, Johnny's was not.
All of this just makes me have so much more respect for Judge A -- because she saw all this underhanded stuff go down all through the pretrial process but she still remained calm, professional, and unbiased toward jury and cameras
Thank you Emily, for all that you do and many thanks to the Mod Squad as well. I love being a part of the Law Nerd community, and I appreciate the peppering of inspiration, encouragement, and relatability (fellow ADD brainer) that gives me life when I catch a live or check in with the Replay Crew. Rottenborn explaining the law to the judge reminded me of Amber explaining to the jury about how to apply make up or educating them that pledge and donate are used synonymously.
You mean Amber explaining the wrong way to apply makeup surely? Nobody colour corrects on top of concealer and tinted moisturiser, you would be walking around with green splodges on your face, or red or purple or orange...and nobody with a bruise who really wants to hide it would use tinted moisturiser. She used a brand called Suki at the time and spoke publicly about her love of the lightness of their tinted moisturiser on days where shes not filming so her skin could recover. She just lied then lied to cover those lies then lied again...

Let’s be honest. We ALL were curious to know what was being said at those sidebars! I could listen to you read an entire book of the Depp vs Heard sidebars.
Oh I so NEED these conversations acted out. Anyone who does vidoes and gets look alike actors to act out these conversations between Elaine, Ben Chew and Judge A will have my complete viewing attention.....oh it would be so good!!!
@YT LOL I agree....but I also meant the bench conversation that we never got to hear. Those are the more juicy ones and very amusing. Wish we could have heard them..
I almost wonder if Amber's team thought that the SA accusation would be the one thing that Could keep the Camera's OUT of the court room. I really think they were finding a way to keep the camera's out.
And that's why she mentioned it early to get word out and sympathetic view like oh no of course we shouldn't be watching this, give her dignity and respect!
ANSWER: I think Amber wanted the world to hear the SA allegations because she thought the world would believe it. (I think all her family and friends believed every word she said her entire life and she just thought the world would too). I think AH pushed her Attorney’s to do the trial the way she wanted and put out a lot of info she wanted. AH was her own downfall!
Just starting this video but I think she made thoise allegations to scare Depp from taking the case. The horror of it could have scared off a lesser man .
1:14:18 now this is what pissed me off during the trial. I know everyone was gushing over judge Penney, how wonderful and fair she was. But she allowed Elaine to *constantly* inject things that she was told she could not. She got away with so much it was just insane. Not once did the judge admonish her for it so Elaine just kept on doing this throughout the trial! And why wouldn’t she if she’s getting away with this shady, dodgy behaviour. The only time the judge interjected is when the plaintiffs attorneys objected! I found Elaine behaviour in court incredibly disrespectful to the judge, jury, the plaintiff and frankly, the judicial system as a whole. Why on earth this judge allowed this was just baffling and disappointing to be honest
She probably thought 'Team Heard are going to appeal every single cough and fart so I'll let them get away with more whereas I know Team Depp are decent lawyers and won't be as pissy in future. That way, in any appeal, the judge will see just how lenient I was with Heard and therefore Heard can't claim I was unfair.' 😂
Just my opinion but I always thought during the trial that she gave Elaine enough rope to hang herself and everyone in Virginia. She was a marine and played the long game. Absolutely no appeal judge will touch this. Judge Penny is a " clever girl'. She knew Depp would win why do you think she televised the court case? I think she was more then aware of the difference between Depp's lawyers and Elaine. No one with half a brain now believes amber. Judge Penny knew exactly what she was doing.
I understand exactly WHY you feel the way you do BUT, think carefully and realize you CAN’T rightly accuse someone of something unless/until they ACTUALLY say/do ADMIT what REALLY happened. That’s why FACTS matter! 👀
I understand how you feel BUT, legally, you can't ACCUSE someone of something they HAVEN'T actually SAID or DONE. That's WHY a good lawyer can make OR break a case. Think about it carefully -- between HER and her LAWYERS they destroyed their OWN case and REVEALED the TRUTH -- which ultimately DID set JD free not just for himself but millions of other DA & SA victims everywhere BECAUSE he had the guts to do it -- and the Judge allowed him to do just that!
I’m catching this late and when you said “somebody’s chopping onions”, I had literally just finished chopping onions. I froze and said “how did she know?!” Lol.
I am so happy that you can have the choice now to choose family first, I completely get it. Five years ago, my amazing granddaughter Kenzie was born 12 weeks early, and with a very rare condition (to this day I cannot pronounce the actual name), where her stomach and esophagus were not attached. Children like her are called, babies born unable to swallow. She had her first surgery at 12 hours old, and over the course of the next two years we have 28 different surgeries. Add that to the fact she was a premie (but at 12 weeks early she weighed 7 lbs which was good for her, if she had gone to term doctors say she would have been close to 17 lbs), her lungs were under developed. So a common cold meant a rush to the hospital, and it could have filled her, the same with the flu. When covid hit our doctors told us early before it hit to go into lock down mode because if she contracted covid it would kill her. Not that is could but it would, so that is what we did. Today, she turns five on August 5, and you would never know she has any medical issues at all. She is the happiest most loving child. She is the reason, I will die employed by my boss. When she was born, the trips to the hospital with Kenzie had no warning. My boss stated if you need to go, I better get a call from you on the road or on way to airport. And he has stuck with that promise for the past five years. For our small law office, family always comes first period. Even for him. But then our little law office of four, does everything together, we have become family. We work together, we vacation together, we do weekend get togethers, etc. We just honestly like each other's company and I believe that in large part is because our fearless leader has always given all of us the flexibility to put family first. Over 20 years in the legal field and he was the first one to do that. Sorry, so long, but again so happy you have that choice now too.
Bless you and your family! I am so very sorry to hear the challenges you and your loved ones faced with your Granddaughter's health. I am so GLAD to hear you had a boss that had the wisdom to understand the role family plays in our lives and was COMMITTED to that fact throughout the long term it took to address those challenges. This gives me hope that there are others in the world that are just as intelligent and compassionate as they are. So glad your work family is just as strong, committed, and courageous as your biological family. It is AMAZING what can be achieved with mutual respect and compassion as human beings. God bless you and BOTH your families; it seems as if you have been doubly blessed. Sincerely & Respectfully, Pia
i am so happy to hear that you and your family are doing well after these hardships. this was a lovely comment and i wish your family good times coming
What?! 28 week gestation and 7lbs?! I don’t believe it for a second. That’s a record if it’s true. I had preemies multiple times and my 31 weekend were 3lbs with steroid shots. No way. Sounds like someone was trying to align pregnancy dates to fit a timeline 😆. In all seriousness I am glad ur granddaughter is doing good. No baby should have to endure that many surgeries in their short life
Of the many hilarious moments offered by the Heard team, my two favourites were Rottenborn mistaking a very obvious sexual reference and a jokey version of a Monty Python skit for death threats and evidence of JD's violent nature. Comedy gold.
Except that his take on it as continued to be disseminated by many MSM & also many people have not yet realized/heard they are from Monty Python script, and still think they were real threats, etc. It is so true that when a false negative statement is made, it stays in public's mind as accurate; it so much harder to get the corrective fact info to replace the falsehoods (eg Dr Wakefield case in England)
@@Necroxion the witch thing was a reference to the witch scene in Monty Python's Holy Grail film. The sexual reference was JD telling AH that he had a better use for her throat and Rottenborn taking this to be a threat of violence. Still chuckling about that.

@@keepinmind8846 Andrea Burkhart - another Lawtuber and the person Emily was talking about that has uploaded all of the unsealed documents to her website.
The irony of how Heard's team claimed "important" information was left out that would help her case when, in reality, the allegations of her previous domestic violence cases were extremely relevant and was the real important information that was left out. So glad Depp won but damn, they really did that, huh?
From a family of band nerds... You make those memories now! My youngest has gone virtual this year because of health concerns and is devastated she will not be in marching band. We would have been in the same events if she had been able to stay. These are memories he will keep with him for the rest of his life!
When asked about the remaining millions of the divorce settlement she specifically said she was not able to pay the donations cause she spent that 6 million on attorneys fees. The implication is that the 6 million was spent on that when it is in all sense not true, even on a technical level. She also lied under oath in the Uk court about donating the entire 7 million and the corrupt judge went as far as base that "fact" on her not being after his money and in that case not having a financial motivation to lie about the allegations. That is a proveable lie that was told in court under oath and contradicts her testimony in Virginia, which is text book perjury. People saying to feel bad for Amber have no idea how easy she got off, when in reality monsters like her deserve far worse. Emily says that she is still human and even though she not only doubles down on her mission to destroy an innocent mans life, but also doxx people that go against her on social media and on youtube like they did to tug. No one said a thing when Johnny's life was being ruined based on false allegations and he was not looked at as a person. Now that we know Amber is not only an abuser which in of itself should land her in jail, but she also falsely spread allegations that have ruined other men's lives with either long jail times, suicide or reputational harm so great they could never recover. Im sorry but people saying go easy on Amber are the same that would condemn male monsters and never want them to work or live their lives. Being misandrist is considered ok and that is disgusting. Views like that are the reason I felt trapped for years with my ex that was abusive and in shame of being humiliated i'll never tell that fact to anyone in my life, cause of how society doesnt care about male dv victims and instead pity their abuser that does nothing but try to ruin the abused life over and over again. How can she learn if she faces pity and no consequences for her actions which would be ruined of roles were reversed.
Very true and quite well said. I had a very good friend years ago whose girlfriend was abusing him. She was tiny, maybe 5' and he was a pretty big guy 6'1 and he worked out so who would believe HE was the victim? The problem was that she KNEW he wouldn't hit back because he would be the one who found himself in jail, not her. She hit him over the head with a cast iron skillet one time and fractured his skull. This was before cell phones had cameras or cheap, tiny cameras one could plant around the house to capture what was really happening. Sure there were tiny cameras then, but they were mad expensive. He had no means of proving it was her. He was honestly afraid of this woman. It was really sad. Sociopaths can be women too, and the behaviors are the same regardless of gender.
What I love about the Law Nerds is that we can actually give credit when due, even if ultimately, we side with another party in the trial. I can see where Rottenborn was doing a GOOD job. It's unfortunate that he was council for the side that the vast majority didn't feel was honest, but as an attorney, I felt like he was doing his best with what he had to work with. I love that we can talk about that here without people assuming you actually side with that team. YAS. 🙌
30+ year attorney here. I agree with you Elizabeth Turner. Mr. Rottenborn came across as an attorney who was assigned a part of a very difficult case and he did his best to perform it with integrity. He made some mistakes, but anyone who has been in trial knows that mistakes are simply going to happen when you are having to do stuff on the fly, off the cuff, under pressure and on the turn of a dime.
@@mkslaw2003 While this was a circus, Rottenborn wasn't part of Elaine's team and was hired as an addition. There was a major lack of chemistry in the team (especially juxtaposed with Depp's killer team), but I wouldn't call him a beyond lost attorney. He had a shady, disingenuous client to begin with, and it's hard to find your way when Elaine is holding the flashlight (and mic, for that matter 🙈). He had some bad moments, but I also can see where he tried to throw some hail marys and navigate the mess as some of it was unfolding in front of him (both including in grasping at the final straws he could as things came to the end, AND managing the ramblings/wasting of their team's time from Elaine's messy questioning and closing). I'm not looking to hire him, but I could imagine he does a good job in other cases. I think it is always good to analyze the good parts and less-than-ideal parts from both sides, personally.
Couldn’t agree less. I personally preferred Elaine to him, at least she was obvious with her blatant attempts to twist facts, he was just slimy, whiny, and unnecessarily hostile the entire time

Shakira case. The prosecution established that between 2012 and 2014 she settled residence in Spain for tax purposes, because within that period of time she spent more than 183 days in Spain, the requirement by law for someone to be deemed a tax resident, despite she had legal residence in the Bahamas. The trial will be held sooner than you think, and this kind of trial doesn't take long in Spain (not longer than a month). Her chances to win the case are zero, so the only expectation is to know how much will she have to pay. The prosecutor alleges she evaded 14.5 million euros, and is requesting 8 years and 2 months in prison plus a 23.7 million fine. Despite the prosecutor's request, her chances to go to prison are zero. When defendants have no prior record, voluntarily show in court, and make a deposit (as she did) usually they are sentenced to less than 24 months, so the sentence is suspended. This case is very similar to Leo Messi's 2016 case, and will have a very similar outcome.

Insurance is NOT paying for her legal fees. Insurance is SUING her for what smells like attempted insurance fraud to my layman nose, because her insurance does not cover intentional tort (which defamation is, at the higher standard applied to defamation of public figures, the jury's verdict is she either knowingly lied or knowingly talked weapons grade shit without bothering to consider whether it would ruin the allegedee's reputation, and either qualifies for "intentional" for the purposes of an insurance policy).

I work in Family Law and had stop to comment as I am listening to the replay. THANK YOU!!! Thank you so much for reminding attorneys to hold on to their integrity and tell their client's the truth. In family law it is essential to do so, and often people are amazed that we are brutally honest with clients. The line I find myself using more than any other is "I understand your spouse/partner was a lousy spouse, but that does not make them a bad parent." The two often get muddled together, and I get it, family court is the most emotional I believe, so emotions play a part, but children are NOT community property for heavens sake, and reminding clients their children are not tools to use against the other party is the biggest thing we remind the clients of, so thank you for reiterating that for all of us.
Wow! Thanks for posting that. Increased my awareness of what an incredibly intense job you've agreed to use your talents in. Lots of gratitude for you, too❣
I simply don’t understand how Team AH can say that JD won due to his fans swaying the jury as if they never argued that Johnny’s reputation was irrecoverably damaged before the op-ed and his fame was falling. Pick a lane, ELAINE!
Wow, Shows us just how much Ambers team was trying to keep out the cameras. I'm so glad camera's were allowed in. Had they not, and JD lost, then people would have believed the Jury, but with Camera's allowed, had he lost, we would have still Believed in JD based on what we saw on the cameras.

Still laughing with you about yelling 😹 Elaine ! Turn on your mic!!!! Now I'm really missing the live trial coverage for just this😂😂😂😂 hahahahahahahaha
Judge A was like "you 2 are richer than the average juror, you'll be the ones who pay for them in appeal". Love her distribution of wealth, truly love how she has handled everything.
After looking back/re watching some of the trial and how they were hammering on about his drug/alcohol use, i think that was because how well that strategy worked in the UK. Re watching Depp's cross, how rottenbottom was basically asking the exact same questions as in the UK to try and get a 'gotta moment', was such a weak cross, because it did nothing. It was all about the UK trial to them and hoping it would work in Virginia 🤷♀️
EVERYTHING AH counsel are complaining about in these documents were the exact things THEY DID to any/all JD critics, and supporters who were following and reviewing the case. They also targeted the judge, the jurors, etc., credibility 24H after the case was done. THEY are character assassins.

Emily, thank you so much. I miss all the lives because I can't pay attention, but I still watch everything you put out because you're just an awesome human being with an absolutely stellar personality, and you're brilliant!
What gets me is that throughout the trial, Heard's team kept driving home all the alleged abuse, sexual and otherwise, but then argued, "That headline about being a survivor of domestic abuse? Totally not about Johnny." Like, they wanted to have it both ways.
Emily! I always hate the ads but I bought a quip tooth brush after watching your spot on it and low key I love it. I feel like a sell out, but it’s a good toothbrush lmao

OH MY GOD!!! Elaine is the equivalent to KJs lawyer in the Tati Westbrook case!!! Doesn't wanna be here, Doesn't know what's going on, Regrets taking the case, & probably hates her client. 🤣🤣🤣
All of this BS that Elaine pulled just makes Depp's win even more outstanding and remarkable... and definitely portrays Elaine in an even worse light because all these underhanded tactics failed them and Elaine played part in awful behavior I am use Amber had a part in. It seems like Elaine's reputation had already been shaky from that letter at the end shows.... Just big Y.I.K.E.S.... I really hope Elaine gets some sort of sanctions or some punishment for what she's done.

Right! They said his star or stardom was dying…but he only won because of his huge fan base. LOL 😂 Like pick a narrative and stick with it! Lol
That hadn’t even occurred to me. Great observation, you are so right!
Exactly right
Yes, I also found this ironic.
I had felt sorry for Elaine during the trial thinking her actions were down to fighting between trying to put forth a good defence and stay true to her clients instructions - I stand corrected it was just unprofessionalism and the same arrogance and entitlement as her client
Sometimes better to stay silent and be assumed an idiot than open your mouth and remove all doubt.
Oh ja, same to me!!! I thought AH betrayed her as well. But when I recogniced she is involved in this crimeplay I got so angry.
I think she put on a show of ineptitude. She's one of the most successful litigators. Don't feel bad for her.

Really? I thought it's all very mean.

Her parents definitely don't trust every word she says, it is proven by JD's conversation with the dad.
Just starting this video but I think she made thoise allegations to scare Depp from taking the case. The horror of it could have scared off a lesser man .
Idk... Ambers team went with the uk trial route, that seems lawyerly, once the judge yeeted the uk trial, they should have changed strategy

Also, nothing coming of AH not turning over her electronics pissed me off
I understand how you feel BUT, legally, you can't ACCUSE someone of something they HAVEN'T actually SAID or DONE.
For reference: what were the titles of the skits being referenced?
@@Necroxion the witch thing was a reference to the witch scene in Monty Python's Holy Grail film. The sexual reference was JD telling AH that he had a better use for her throat and Rottenborn taking this to be a threat of violence. Still chuckling about that.

The irony of how Heard's team claimed "important" information was left out that would help her case when, in reality, the allegations of her previous domestic violence cases were extremely relevant and was the real important information that was left out. So glad Depp won but damn, they really did that, huh?
You really threw out a pun and completely missed how great it was!
"Mr Ben CHEW has some BITE!" 👏👏👏😂😂😂😂😂😂
True
The UK is a joke, they are so far feu left that they will lie and ruin someone's reputation to promote the woke agenda!
He cut people off non stop & tried to object to everything. He was beyond lost
@@ladychelseatheundead he was hostile, unprofessional & took it out on the witnesses. Inexcusable
Couldn’t agree less. I personally preferred Elaine to him, at least she was obvious with her blatant attempts to twist facts, he was just slimy, whiny, and unnecessarily hostile the entire time
Replay crew here. Thank you, Emily, especially for being so open about your experience of juggling career and family, and how difficult that is today to make the time to do the things that you value in life.
Ben Chew is such a snarky guy but in a very pleasant way possible. These records remind me of the Jury's instruction when Ben Chew was sitting seemingly chilled at the table, allowing his associates to argue the jury's instruction. In that moment, I proclaimed him King Ben Chew.
I do not believe AH is broke. She is cunning and probably planned well. Remember JD is missing millions.
I highly doubt she planned well beyond I have this money, now let's spend it all, given what we know of AH's lavish spending.
Yep. She got an elon baby. She is secured hence her arrogance in this absurd crusade against the truth.
People who manipulate often don't have that much of a plan unless they are complete sociopaths. I think she's just a bird jumping from cash cow to cash cow and this court case just ruined her gig. She might not even be aware that shes doing it
Elon Musk is the biological father of her child, she planned VERY well….
The missing hundreds of millions was taken by his money manager. He admitted fault and a settlement was decided upon. AH isn't smart enough, plus the money started being siphoned off over 20 years ago.
I had to take a break from the JD/AH case because it was literally consuming my life and all of my time, but I’m glad to be back watching Emily! 💖 Definitely my personal favorite legal commentator. 🙂 I want to see Judge A’s backpack!
Also love how you lead by example with compassion, honesty and healthy boundaries 💝 kudos EDB!
2:25:37 - Context: Ben Chew in court, Elaine Bredehoft on videochat
2:25:50 - "Turn on your mic, Elaine" (EDB called it!)
2:28:13 - "This is my nightmare" - Ben Chew, 2022 (he's just a snarky guy!)
Omg, Emily I can tell you are an AMAZING mom!! From one mom to another…Bless you & your family! ❤️❤️❤️
I'm just laughing out loud at Ben Chew's nightmare with Elaine multiplying , haha :D Hysterical :D
This was a joy to watch live with you EDB and oh how I laughed at the Elaine mic moments and BC snark. Gold. Solid gold the unsealed docs are!💜💜Just the medicine I needed!
Thank you Emily for being my safe place tonight so I don’t have to hear to my anxiety triggers in the background as loudly. Really helped ease some things on my end. You have no idea how much you help people. You’ve helped me a lot as I have also been watching/listening to your streams when I workout too. I look forward to my workouts now because of you lol. You probably won’t even see this but that’s ok. I just need to say it regardless.. Thank you again for being my safe place. You have no idea how much you’ve saved me.
I just read a piece that said she already paid all that millions plus interest and it’s a 50/50 chance of winning.
I could be wrong. Just wanted to see if yet again media is changing information.
@@lilkatdevil she didn't settle, she made a 17M deposit that will remain in custody until the trial is over. The deposit works like a bond. Her chances of winning are zero, she's been investigated by the Spanish Treasury agents for about 6 years and they've gathered enough solid evidence. Edit: you'll find good info in the "El Pais" online newspaper (from Madrid) using the translator.
@@nicocba2007 ok! The article did NOT make that clear at all! Thank you.
I can’t get on board with Shakira for this reason, she had a boyfriend in Argentina back in the day that was the son of one of their corrupt ex presidents, or maybe Chile 🤔 either way not the first time she thinks she is above the law …
Thanks!
I don't have any interest professionally in law but I love listening to you break it all down
I'm honestly so shocked about Elaine's constant, consistent, and thorough underhanded, sly, dishonest and calculated moves. I genuinely cannot believe someone could willingly act like that. Corrupt much?
a very slimey defense attorney
All that underhandedness and still lost! Ha! (Although Elaine certainly has no problem telling the media they won).
If she didn’t donate her settlement and insurance is paying legal fees then she ain’t broke
She might have blown through that money on clothes, wine, travel, cheek implants
@@sarahlang2119 I love the inclusion of the cheek implants 🤣
@@purpleb3106 yeah I don't mean to be mean, but I wouldn't go to her plastic surgeon
@@peccantis then it sucks to be her
Mr. Depp was getting roles even with his reputation until the domestic abuse came out and he lost work in the Me Too backlash.
Love seeing your authentic self and understand what it means to be aligned with kids. They grow up once and if you miss it it's gone forever. Well done you.
"LA LA LA, whatever, LA LA LA, it doesn't matter...." I am dying of 90s childhood laughter 🤣🤣🤣
It is so lovely to see JD finally getting positive headlines in the UK about stuff that's true and his continued success instead of the BS from AH, it must be killing her. So thank you lawtubers for making this understandable and relatable for Muppets like me at home 💜💜💜
Mainstream media are suddenly switching sides 🙄

@@Texas_Painter I'm not sure about your coverage in the USA but here in the UK it is more honest, but your right probably kind is not the right word
The Independent is still very much pro Heard, but I think Guardian is a bit more neutral.
Thank you for these Emily. There are so many ppl on twitter thinking they got a law degree unpacking the unsealed documents. Your analysis is the only one I'll Listen too
Please thank Andrea Burkhart who is a lawyer that set up the gofundme to pay for the unsealed documents without her this wouldn't be possible
@@Shhh_94 Emily gave AndreaB full credit for crowdfunding the documents. 🙂
I'm 100% convinced that Elaine didn't appear in-person so that she could, in her eyes, get away with blatantly violating the protective order - she could claim "but I didn't know" and I guess she thought that would be fiiiiiine then
I just wanted to say that I’ve watched u grow ur RUclips channel and all other platforms and I’m so proud of u!! U do an amazing job!!! I am paralegal and do not understand a lot of language in legal documents and u break it down so we can ALL understand! We thank u for all ur hard work Emily and love watching you!!!
If the abuser Gary Coleman can get a job as a security officer, she can also get a blue collar job like everyone else. And if that is elons kid like it’s been reported, the kid will more than likely be fine 😪 my family had to file bankruptcy when I was a kid and we were fine. She’ll be just fine and infuriatingly even better off than we were.
Who do you mean by "we" Emily made $300k not including merch and stuff during the trial, so I hope you're not putting Emily in a "poor me, inflation is biting 🥹" bracket.
Source: Emily gave a paid interview during the trial to a news outlet and told them how much she made from superchats and ads during the trial
@@JoejoeEng ….. we as in my family who went through bankruptcy….. I do not care that Emily got paid for an interview and made money during this trail…. Amber Heard also did an interview and I’m pretty sure she got paid for that…. Pretty Weird of you attacking Emily for how much money she made….
Also need to remember who that kids father is. I doubt she will ever have to work.
During the “custody” litigation w Elon about the embryos… which he wanted destroyed.. part of the deal was she could have the embryos but he won’t have any legal or financial responsibility. This was determined in court. I think she burned the Elon bridge… she burns everyone eventually..
@@JoejoeEng Maybe you need to re-read royrdze’s comment again. They’re talking about _their_ family…not you or me or Emily. And so what if Emily makes money with interviews and RUclips. She’s worth every penny she makes! How many, *many* hours has she given us going through the trial?! You sound so bitter and jealous 😖
OMG I absolutely LOLed when you said someone is named Amber Elaine Heard!
Never had that choice! Why I worked nights! Saw kids more
Pretty obvious that AH’s attempt to ruin JD’s life has completed & utterly backfired & will/has ruined hers.
A lesson in life, tell the truth.
Replay crew here, Honestly every time my kitten binx hears your voice he comes running over to my phone and starts nudging it and wants to watch its very strange and annoying because he keeps pausing it with his nose lol.
Haha, can't believe we got a Part 2 of Emily telling Elaine to turn on her mike. AH's team is the gift that keeps on giving.
I love love love hearing you talk about the opportunity you have to be the best parent you want! I am so happy that you are so vocal about prioritizing your kids. Your channel is so great! I am happy you are able to balance both😄
Still laughing with you about yelling 😹 Elaine !
That’s what I thought too
At first I thought Heard's team might be a little incompetent during the trial. Now I just think they're shady and unethical.
I honestly think they are both: incompetent and unethical.
I think they planned on a juror being fixed or compromised and having that as a reason for appeal. I love how fair you are in analyzing this mess.
Replay crew: had surgery a week ago, and ive just started to watch this now.. So excited x ty Emily
OMG I'm listening while working out and had to drop my weights when you said "YOUR MIC ELAINE!!" 🤣🤣🤣
EVERYTHING AH counsel are complaining about in these documents were the exact things THEY DID to any/all JD critics, and supporters who were following and reviewing the case. They also targeted the judge, the jurors, etc., credibility 24H after the case was done. THEY are character assassins.
Like client, like attorney. Everything Amber accused Johnny of doing, she was guilty of herself.
@Annie Nunyabiz AH’s Projections were seen from the Webb Telescope.....

LOL love Ben Chew’s sassiness and not taking any BS
