Firstly lots of love for u, always love ur videos and ur acting is incredible in dramas..
I know what u r trying to referring Tamkanat..But out culture is itself has many bad things, so instead of taking inspiration from it, lets do what Allah says...It is fobidden for men to look like women ,either its colors or anything like tht..
Now this will also look like Iam a person who has orthodox belief..
But infavt there r many orthodox belief which our culture promote but Islam denies.
Lets say, a woman has to live with inlaws atleast until husband's parents r dead..This is very common and 99 percent cannot get a separate house..The other thing is, older women r allowed to marry younger men but our culture will mock them and taunt them. The same goes for getting married to a divorcee etc ..There r so many things which religion allows but our toxic culture does not..
If we look Pakistani culture, its 99 percent inspired from Indian culture bcoz we lived together for centuries..
But if we donot want to indulge in religion debate, lets not indulge in cultural debate..
Plus, I guess we should leave it on ppl to decide what they find manly in men and womanly in women..I mean personal preference bhi koi cheez honi chahe..
Like I donot like men wearing frocks with shalwar no matter what province they belong...Even those students at Uni wearing specific clothes to highlight their culture, I am not in favour of tht either..I would never like men to wear beads, earrings, etc etc. ....
Plus, every institution should hve dress code..Just like offices hve dress codes..Second, when u go in public, try to look modest even if not religious ..You know someone cannot go naked in public and say, "oH let me do what I want to do, this is my life"

I get what you are saying and agree with you to not to confine and avoid unnecessary criticism BUT the things which are forbidden in islam should never be worn even though they might be worn by Mughals like Gold for men, secondly yes these are cultural dresses of men but these are occasional dresses just like we women wear occasional dresses of ghara sharara etc i hate when a guy wear a bra type dress in a award show as a symbol of fashion, it a big No,So guys wearing colours are fine, even floral prints are fine but not pure feminine things like bra or gold etc.

These are occasionally worn now but were worn by our ancestors since ancient times so I don’t think it’s wrong. In Our villages people are still wearing it and producing children so how is it non masculine? If u look at Arabic men dress than it looks like a white long gown so pants are not symbolic of masculinity. Ancient romans Macedonians like Alexander had dresses like short skirts so pants are notsymbolic of masculinity . In Punjab Pakistan India women wear shalwar which look like pants so they must be masculine right?

We are adopting a new line of extremely unhealthy diet by indulging into cheese burgers, cheese pizzas, cream salads, creamy dips, and the list goes on…
While majority of us can’t give up on parathas and halwas our of own share of guilty pleasures, adding the imported junk on top of it is leading us into all sorts health issues. If screened properly at least 90% of our population will be diagnosed with fatty liver , leave alone the issues of childhood obesity, hypertension, and diabetes etc.

while you are right to a degree, the predominant colour among the majority of the poor working class baloch pathan or punjabi men was white or black. Because it was expensive to dye the cloth in colours. What you have shown is the upper 5-10 percent. As for jewellery, it is mostly cheap metal work for animals and the working class. But you have a point in the post colonial hangover. This way of thinking came during the industrial revolution ( after 1780). Before that even Europe wore vibrant colours. But it was the higher ups. All in all you have made your point very nicely. Good work. However, let us accept, wearing orange, yellow, benarasi dresses it not altogether masculine.

As a muslim community men are not allowed to wear such things which resembles women n vice versa ..(will provide reference of hadees if u want).. so males preferably wear white colors n avoid feminine colors n jewlery.. as acc to another hadees, white is most preferred color in clothes for all of us ( for both genders) .. so most of males avoid colors like red , pink , maroon type colors ... N wonen can wear all of them ..
Note: we should try to follow islam NOT our cultures cox our purpose of life is to live acc to islam ..not acc to cultures

Does any of the dresses that are shown in the video make you think of the men as imitating women? These are distinctive male dresses. What is imitating women to you? Wearing red shalwar kameez would make you mistake a man for a woman? Hadees ke matlab ko bhi samajh len. There is no restriction to wear any colour in Islam. Not does Islam shun you from following your culture. According to you, the Baloch men should stop wearing their cultural dress and start wearing what? An arabic thobe? Arabic dressing is NOT Islamic dressing. In fact there is no islamic dressing. You can follow some Dos & Don’ts but none of the clothes shown in the video are un Islamic.

The practice of tattooing is as ancient as Egyptian mummies. Many native tribal people have been getting themselves tattooed for centuries. So no it is not inspired by the British. Also, I never said that we should not or cannot wear western clothing. I simply argued that this idea that colourful clothes or certain cuts were not for men was a colonial idea. And that we should let people wear what they wish to and are comfortable in. Whether it is a t-shirt or a sari. I hope now it is understood.

Men must cover between the navel to the knee, and it is generally looked down upon if the chest is not covered as well when in public.
