Thank you so much for these videos! We lived there for 9 years on Kadena, from 87 - 96. My daughters and I dream about Okinawa. We need to go back someday! A piece of our hearts will always be there. We absolutely loved these! Great gift to us! Also, nice driving music!
i feel in love with this beautiful Island. Pity i didn't take camera camcoder while i was there. I will visit Okinawa again very soon. Thanks for your clip to reminded me. How 's okinawa city.
great stuff, can you please make a video driving around inside camp foster? I was stationed there 4 years and miss it very much, it would reeeaallly make me happy
When I was on Rock back in 1974 - 1975, H&S Co H&S Bn, 3rd Force Service Regiment, Camp Foster, we drove on the other side of the road, when did that change?
They made the change in 1978 after reversion to Japan. I was there in the late 1960s and drove on the Amercican side. In recent years, I saw a civilian license bearing a stamp showing an arrow going from right to left indicating that he'd been through training. I'd say the transition took a couple of years. Tony

Man it really hasn't changed much has it? At least the bases anyway.
I'm PCSing here. How hard is it to obtain a POV and that joint service driver's license?
