Nice stuff Budd! I've been delaying to start an extension and as I'm getting ready, just wanted to ask you. Is there any profile in which you can recommend? Is Rhinobuild a good one? Any thought? Thanks in advance.
Hey buddy, I'm an Australian bricklayer. Just wondering what your profiles are made of over in Scotland. We mainly use steel here but some use aluminium. I find steel better as it doesn't bend. You have a slightly different design of profile. Ours are probably a lot easier and quicker to use. Would be cool to get some feed back. Thanks mate. Hopefully we can help each other out to make bricklaying easier. Time is money in our game 🍻
Those profiles are steel. You can get aluminium box sections here in the UK but they're typically the 40mm ones. The Blakes profiles in the video have been used here by brickies for decades but box sections are starting to take over and the Blakes are falling out of favour. Steel is better imo also because you can stick a magnetic boat level to them and not have to stop what you're doing to check it for plumb 5 times 😂
@@BuildingwithBudd so what seems to be your stem wall.... Up to your plinth level... Do u fill that cavity with concrete or not... The 50mm gap or so between the two courses of brick..?
The brickwork is really starting to build up now, great work considering the weather 👍 keep going bud 😁‼️‼️

Also as you build your corner up you should use a stabiliser so the line doesn't pull the top of the profile over and it keeps it plumb
Merry Christmas and a Happy New year boi
Cheers security man , and the same to you, many thanks for watching 👏🌲🌲
