    Did you back out the throttle limit screw? Most Honda clone engines have a screw that limits the RPMs.

    I added an anti cavitation plate haven’t tested it yet too cold out and hurt my back which has been a nightmare. I appreciate the video! Great to see this play out. Definitely not a lot of content about it.

    I dig it !
    That kill switch is absolutely brilliant !

    try a switch on the tiller handle for a kill switch, or a forklift seat switch.

      I should have thought of a seat switch, I used a universal door switch

    shouldn't there be a planning tab back by the prop to push it to the surface under load?

    I have a twister running a 420cc pred. Switching to a two blade prop will make a world of difference. Also it looked like the prop was too far in the water. With the boat out of water and level, the prop should be same depth as bottom of boat, then once on water use depth bolt to fine tune.

      What size prop would you recommend?

      @@raymondhumphrey6414 I’m running a 9 inch. You may have to play around with a few. You want to be in the rpm range of motor.

    Does the kit only comes with an horizontal mount to the boat?

      The kit that I got only has the horizontal mount, and I haven't seen one with a transom mount on amazon

    Do you recommend it? Or would you have gone the mudskipper kit route?

      I wouldn't recommend this kind of tail setup, the long shaft is probably less of a headache. But after putting it on a smaller vessel it is definitely working better.

      What size boat are you pushing? 7 or 7 1/2 2 blade prop and modify the engine. My mostly stock Briggs 205 would run 10 - 11 mph with a 2 blade prop and zip tied governor spring.

      From mud skipper, there's a set of three for around 35-45 bucks.
      You'll need a tap 16x2, try to get one with the drill bit to match or you'll have a hard time like I did lol

    Your prop is riding too low in the water

    • @mogliplays4696
      @mogliplays4696  3 месяца назад

      After changing the prop I spent a long time on the water trying different tilts, I just cut the struggle out of the video.
      Even at a "surface" level it wasn't any better

    • @hunterhylbert8501
      @hunterhylbert8501 3 месяца назад +1

      @@mogliplays4696 you need to start low and as you begin to pick up speed slowly raise it up out of the water, also get rid of the governor it’ll give you some more rpm to work with then you can dial in your trim based on the max rpm you want to run with a tachometer and you can adjust that based off the prop you run
