DONT KILL HIM EARLY. now that I've got your attention, this dude's quest leads into a twinblade that's inate with bleed and it's ash applies a blood loss and a half each use. So when you get all hits off 2 times, blood loss procs 3 times. It absolutely shreds bosses, and then he dies in quest anyway and you get his katana.
For anyone interested, you don't have to unequip everything from your left hand. Hold Y/Triangle, and hit your right bumper, that will allow you to 2 hand the weapon in your right hand. Also works for the left hand if you hit the right bumper
Look some more there is a river of blood katana, meteor blade katana, moon veil katana, serpentine katana, hand of malenia katana, dragon scale katana, and of course the one in the video and the uchigatana
Save The Yura Comment: DONT KILL YURA GUYS!! HE IS HAVE QUESTLINE !!! ((1.))Talk to him at the ruin near Seaside Ruin grace site, exhaust his dialogue. (Altho i didn't talk to him but somehow skip to step 2) ((2.))Go to the river near Murkwater Cave, then you will get invaded by Bloody Fingere NPC, afterward Yura will come to assist you. ((3.))After killed the invader, go reset somewhere then return to Murkwater Cave grace site, then leave the cave turn left and go straight, you will see Yura there, exhaust his dialogue. ((4.))Go to Main Academy Gate grace site, go to the bridge way (don't interact with seal) and you will see Yura's red sign there, go assist him kill another Bloody Finger NPC ((5.))After killed, he'll stand near where his red sign, exhaust his dialogue, he'll mention about Eleonora. ((6.))Go to Second Church of Marika, you will see him lying on the ground, exhaust his dialogue and he'll give you his Katana, then you'll get invaded by Eleonora, killing him will give his Poleblade and some key item forgot the name FROM FEX WIKI..
@Nutrient.-. yeah the moonveil katana requires you kill a magma wyrm in a mine, it's pretty tough early on. I love the katana tho. Its so powerful and fun to use, and its nice not having to use scholars armament
If you do his questline you get the sword and a twinblade at the end of his questline. Also for anybody looking for his Ronin set and Mushroom Helmet there's an NPC in Altus Plateau who LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE Yura but isn't him, kill him and you get to cosplay as Yura.

There is a long quest for this. You get this and a nice twinblade at the end without killing him. There are 2 other invaders. One of them you invade to help him. You kill the dragon at the lake then he is on the north bridge of the academy. Last spot is the second church of marika in the north most area north of altus highway junction.
I replaced my Uchi with this after 30+ hours and put blood slash on it with keen affinity. It has slightly more damage than Uchi, and has way more reach. Still retains the blood buildup. The only downside is it's 7.0 weight instead of 5.5 which is nothing. It's a direct upgrade imo. Maybe the melania blade can compare but honestly I'm not sure as it has less reach and can't be customised with any of ash of war like this weapon can.
its real, i just verified it myself :* looks like its got better dex scaling than the starter katana too though it requires a good amount of dex/str to be able to wield. wish i knew u could get this so early, i woulda started pumping str sooner
If you merced him already you gotta resolve your sins. Get a celestial dew (you find some near carian manor) and then go to the church of absolution I believe it's called. Do the thing near the giant turtle pope and then he'll be alive again. His quest ends at the second church of marika just past the dectus lift but you can either use a secret tunnel or get both halves of the medallion to get there. You just need to kill the invader in Lake of agheel, talk to him, kill agheel talk to him, go to the academy summon his bloodsign at the end of the bridge to the right of where you teleport. After the summon where you help him kill the bloody finger that's when you go to second church of marika
@@fallenlegend7952 I got it within 2 hours but that was also me getting sidetracked and trying to find cheese ways around mountains n shit. Probably like an hour altogether if you know what you're doing

... I declare that Yura's quest is to kill him....every time you see him. He's been possessed by Shabiri the chaos demon. When you meet him in Zamor ruins, you're talking directly to Shabiri and Yura is a 'vessel', When you slay him at Zamor, you're exorcising his soul and banishing Shabiri, who states that they are pure chaos energy and can't be destroyed. I'd put money on there being a DLC boss fight with Shabiri. "It is the sound of the whispering-wind, what misfortune to hear it from my own neck, rather than the neck of my enemy"
I accidentally hit him one time, and now I can't talk to him. Maybe now that it's been a while and I left the area, he may forget I did that lol. Otherwise for him it's on sight.

If you complete his questline you'll get eleonora poleblade. its much better than Nagakiba. The only reason you want to pick nagakiba is if you want to cosplay as sephiroth

There's a moon and a gravity katana in easy to get to locations too, worth the int points to use,worth a search for easy to just find yourself too

It appears someone inside from software's team is a big fun of Saito (Samurai X)

Using blood slash is more powerful, look for it its going to save you from a lot of battle, i got invaded a lot and this skill saves me everytime
Blood slash is stronger in the caveat it takes your health to use it. Still early game bosses die after only 3 to 4 uses its great

yeah I'd recommend doing the quest - you get a really awesome poleblade along with this katana if you finish...as others have noted.

Not always do you need to kill off an NPC just to get their stuff.
There's a questline that comes first, then he dies, and you get his weapon anyway.
