Doing my first fair today and I’ve been low key bingeing your videos for the last couple of days. I honestly have most of what I need but since it’s my first I’m still a newbie and need to find my rhythm.
I’m nervous since I know my displays are still in their early stages but you’ve been helping me a lot. thank you!

What a wonderful comment! Thank you so much!
At each event, try to observe or learn a few new things every time you participate in a show. Don’t worry too much about trying to learn everything all in one day - but make realistic progress each time you go to an event.
I have a few very special videos in the works that will help all vendors, new & experienced, so I hope that will help!
Good luck at your first show!!! 😃😃💪💪

I'd like to add, if your set up allows (for instance, a U shape set up where either the opening faces the front of the booth & you stand behind it, or where it faces the back & you stand inside it)... Either the kid's foam mat puzzle pieces or a few memory foam kitchen mats. These are life savers at my shows. I tend to stand for 90% of the shows.
Also, baby wipes. Those suckers come in handy when you need to clean a mess, but may not want the chemicals from cleaning wipes. I set them out for people to use, along with the hand sanitizer on a tray table. People also can use the tray table to set things down when paying.

I would add mallet and weights. Not just tent weight but a way to anchor your displays is necessary

      Appreciate your kind words!
Have fun at your show! Just remember that every vendor there had a first day as well - so enjoy it and not down a few ideas for improvement for your next show. Good luck! 😃👍

@@howtocraftfair Update: it went amazing!!!!!! Thank you so much for all your help! It was a very small / slow market. That was perfect for my first show. I had time to take it all in and see what people really want. I sell soaps that look like crystals. People thought that I sell actual crystals, so I definitely need to put up a larger banner to advertise that they are soaps and not crystals. But it was a massive success. Again, thanks a million! Your channel helped me so much. I am all the way in South Africa, so you and your channel are helping people from across the world!

I'm doing my very first art fair on saturday and finding your channel was an absolute lifesaver!! Craft fair dad advice 11/10 😂 Fingers crossed my tent doesn't like spontaneously combust and/or all my art gets eaten by bears

That’s awesome - I’m glad to hear it and that you enjoy the channel!
Good luck at the show! You got this! Remember to have fun and take it all in! Ask the organizer to assign your booth next to the vendor that sells honey so that the bears get them first!

Here’s a tip for the table runners: I roll mine up and put them in a wide poster tube for transport.
Part of my checklist is ironing my banners and smoothly re-rolling them and placing them back in the tube before packing.
I put a decal on the tube with my business’s name.
