Thanks for this REALLY great video - humorous at times too which is always a pleasure ! My husband and I did book a guaranteed veranda stateroom only because it was a last-minute cruise decision, and the system wouldn't allow us to select our own stateroom. OK, I get that. However, I would never do it again because we were allocated a connecting stateroom and the neighbors voices and their music (lots of base) filtered through the connecting doors. Fortunately for us, they were late risers and we are early rises LOL, but we are also early to bedders and they came in late full of energy still. When you sat on your veranda chair relaxing with your feet up, you could enjoy your view and forget about the 'mild obstruction' which is keeping your attitude happy !!! You will have a great time on this ship. Holland America is our Top 3rd cruise lines to travel on. Our family have traveled with them for the last past 8 years, 2 to 3 trips a year and Holland has not disappointed us at all. We all get veranda rooms . Club orange is the best. The have it all package is also must. There's also storage under the bed. As well. Pinnacle ships have more specialty restaurants. You can check them out.
Hey guys. Team replay today. Appreciate the hangers. We always have to ask for more hangers. Like the safe location. Some of them low and gotta be bending down too low. Never use the mini bar. Often wonder how long they’re sitting in there. Sometimes things get flat. Lotion in the bathroom. That’s different. Hooked on Elemis since 2016. Big shower. Oh no. A razor from the previous cruise. 🤦♀️. This is why I don’t mind the wait for the room. They have too many rooms for full deep cleaning. Makes me wonder was the soapdish properly cleaned🤷🏻♀️? Which is why I travel with Lysol wipes. Depending on the temperament of the steward I may just bring it to his attention and not guest services. Oh nice. 150 yrs. We have sent a few shirts and my formal night dress for pressing. Didn’t need unlimited. Only see magnifying mirrors in bathrooms; not desktop. Never saw a key 🔑 to the balcony or rug. Good size indeed. Sometimes your knees practically pressing the glass. Obstructed view not bad at all. Thanks for sharing 🤗
Yeah our cabin steward was very sweet and came and cleaned it up while we were out at dinner. During the evening turn down service. Cleaned the whole bathroom again. 🙌🏽
Addy, they put all those Hangers in Yall's Cabin, because they probably watch Yall's Videos and heard Terry say you always go shopping and buy a lot of Clothes.🤷😂
Very nice cabin tour. We are thinking of booking the Nieuw Statendam - Balcony GTY. Your balcony looked fine. The price is much higher than you paid for a 7 night Caribbean cruise in 2025. Regarding the hangers - don’t like the hangers that have clips. Don’t know who uses them. I also prefer drawers to all the hanging places. Are there any drawers besides the 2 in the night stands.
Did it say that it was partially obstructed view when you booked your verandah room, or did you book a room that just said "verandah" and when you got there, you found out that it was partially obstructed?
We booked a guarantee veranda. So we knew we would get a veranda. We just didn’t know it would be a partially obstructed view. But it worked out in the end because we loved the cabin.

We have booked a guaranteed cabin, I was slightly surprised because it was an older ship but the room we got was added recently so it looked new.

You can store your luggage under the bed and there should be two storage drawers at the end of the bed too.

This is actually a nice room!! Spacious bathroom and plenty of storage. The bed also look comfortable.
I slept so well in that bed. We were not disappointed at all.

there are two drawers at the foot of the bed but that is about it for actual drawers.
