Today I am again using one of the new chameleon pigments from Fluid-art.co. Their colour shifting range of pigments are called Stuck up Pigs as they contain chrome colours, yes, they're expensive but wow the extreme colour changes are amazingly beautiful! You don't need to use a lot, you'll see how little I use in this video.
Pillow:
British Paints (brand name) house paint, low sheen white with nothing added.
Faux Pillow:
Jasart/Byron Mars Black (I use any cheap acrylic for my faux pillow).
A 'faux pillow' is just mixed exactly the same as my other colours and poured on top of the usual pillow (you don't need as much pillow when doing this). This is instead of having to buy coloured house paint for backgrounds as it's very expensive in Australia.

Stuck up Pigs (SUP's) Hoity Toity
SUP's & TLP pigments, silicone stir sticks and silicone pour mats can be purchased from fluid-art.co/
Matisse Southern Ocean Blue with Jo Sonja Iridescent Turquoise
Pebeo Iridescent Precious Gold
Folkart Colorshift Purple Flash
My pigments and tube paints are mixed with untinted (neutral) gloss house paint (water based) and Jo Sonja gloss varnish. In some countries you may need 'Deep Base' you're looking for one without any (or a very small amount) of titanium white, or it will make your colours pastel.

Both were mixed ONLY with Australian Floetrol (approx 2 parts to 1 part of acrylic paint).

My lazy susan is glass and 20'' which was purchased from Coles supermarket, they can also be sourced from variety/dollar stores and on Amazon. The heavier the spinner, the easier it will spin, I'd also suggest you get the largest one you can so you can easily use it for larger substrates too. I have a 24'' (60cm) wood round placed on top of my lazy susan.
My metal spatulas are artist palette knives, they can all be purchased from fluid-art.co/

This is so beautiful, a little hit for the air bubbles in the strip of black, you can gently blow over it and all the bubbles will pop. I did this the other day and it worked.

Niki, this is gorgeous as always!!!!! I wanted to tell you - I tried to do the drags that you do. What a disaster!! LOL. A few worked ok, but I ended up.doing a swipe. Turned out ok, but yours are so much better. I'm going to keep trying, maybe I'll get it right someday. I'm so much shakier than I used to be!!! Getting old is not for sissies!! LOL

Hooo, Niki. The way you used the Chameleon TLP colors is spectacular. This painting is so beautiful, with all of the large and small lacing. They are like little jewels waiting to be picked up and made into a necklace. The Fluid Art Co. sure has created beautiful pigments for artists like you to work with. What should be the consistency of the faux-pillow? Same as the pillow or same as the colours?

Thank you Kathryn, I'm still using the old pm. I usually use Atelier Interactive for my CA, but I find Amsterdam Turquoise Blue makes an amazing CA 😀💙
