- In this video, we are installing Calvert CALTRACS traction bars to our 1985 C10 Chevy Squarebody. The Calvert kit part number is 3204. This is the first appearance of this sleeper truck on the channel. Looking forward to sharing a full walk around video in the future as well as build breakdown.

I'd love to take a gander at that 305... If nothing else, help you put the plug wires back on.
Haha yessir! We'll be doing a full walk around soon!
I love your videos and I love you!
😍😍 miss you buddy!
That sleeper is pure car porn!!!
Thank you!
Love the content. Makes me want Caltracks on my 74 C10. What rear end do you have in this truck and gears? Thanks!
Thank you! Its a 12 bolt with 410 gears and a t56 6-speed
Can you put these on a truck with a c notch? Truck is crazy low just don’t know if I can clear them?
@@carsonglaser8094 I personally have an installed them on a truck with a c notch but I believe they would work
Try it with a set of slicks
Can someone explain how this does not move the axle furtther back?
Drop height in the back? Or flip you used?
6in flip from cpp
What mufflers are on this truck?
Magnaflow 3.5" single round case
Cool Videos, What transmission is in the '85? Also what shifter is being used?
T56 from a 97 trans am with a mid-shift conversion from SST. Shifter is the longest Hurst shifter they make that I modified the angle at the bottom to suit the bench seat.
Thanks! I have a 1978 GMC. It has the original 3 speed that was converted to floor shift. The shifter sits too far back. Can't slide the seat forward...LOL.
@@lawrence_tenn dang it! Lol
Will this kit work with a long wheel base c10 also?
I'm not sure, check with the manufacturer to verify!
6” drop with no c notch?
Correct! Hasn't bottomed out yet, but then again I don't load it heavy
Year later, was still able to keep the overload springs on it? Im about to install some on my 83 and trying to figure out if they have to be removed or not for the bars.
This question isn’t about wheel hop… I’m about to flip kit mine and I’ve read a lot about the pinion angle after the kit that causes bind to the drive shaft? Is that a legit thing? If so, how do you fix that? I know this video would probably solve the problem but with just my basic flip kit and no extra money is there something I could do
With the standard C10 flip kit I've never ran into an issue with pinion angle. Always double-check though! They make thin pinion shims if it is a problem, they can be placed between the leaf spring and the flip kit to adjust the pinion up or down
