The thing that I love about the show, is that whenever Saitama had a heroic moment, it was with people that truly appreciate him. He's literally giving out life lessons to random strangers that he met.
I'm not sure Saitama will ever really be Superman. That's not exactly what he wants or is working towards. He's a hero for fun. He mostly just wants a good fight. He'd like to be better known and though of, but it's not very important to him either

(A bonus chapter showed him carrying a kid on his shoulders back to the kids house when he was a little scared to go alone. They talked about life and how it doesn't just get easy when you're strong.)

And what makes this really interesting is that it gives us readrers a chance to really see the difference in how different heroes approach their hero gig, since the only real difference in these situations are the respective personalities of the heroes involved. Spider-man be like "I'm gonna try my best with my words and actions to show you that life is too valuable to waste".
