    As a long time H-D rider I really like Indian's attention to detail with the little creature comfort type things - the puddle light, the way you press the start button and let it go, the IO power button, power locking saddlebags, power adjustable windscreen, etc. One has to go to the aftermarket for stuff like that (if it's available) on a Harley - or many other makes for that matter.

    • @amphibdriver1
      @amphibdriver1 5 лет назад +1

      @Ron Pleake ---> I recently bought a 2020 HD Electra Standard and had to change the bars, the seat and the shocks to feel comfortable. After riding from the HD dealership for only 33 miles the muscles between my shoulder were cramping up so much with the stock seat and handlebars that I had to sit off to one side of the seat and hang three fingers over each bar grip and with my little fingers hanging off to the side of the grips to have better wrist position so my wrist wouldn't cramp. I don't have problems with m wrist either. I'm 5 feet 11 inches tall and weigh 178 pounds. Over lots of small bumps on the highway or back roads, the ride on this bike is just brutal with the stock shocks. I wish now that I had bought the Challenger instead, but it was not available when I bought this Harley. I also own a 2014, Victory Cross Country tour and the ride over bumps is even better than a Harley Ultra classic that I test rode and the ride on my 2020 Harley Standard with the stock shocks rides over bumps like a 1960 Volkswagen.

I would love to have an Indian if my wife would let me LOL! Harley has the most extensive dealer network, though, and that, along with custom parts availability, really gives them an advantage. When I first went on the market to buy a cruiser in 2016 , my first stop was the local HD dealership here in Melbourne Australia. I was just looking at random bikes , because I walked in the store with my business suit n tie, I didn’t even get any salesperson approaching me. After spending 10-15 mins looking at bikes , I walked out and went to the new Indian showroom . As soon as I walked inside , I was greeted with a smile and I thought that was very special. Did I buy an Indian ? Yes I did.

    Demo Days here in Memphis at the local Indian dealer this past weekend. Did a 30 minute ride on the Challenger and I can tell you it's super comfortable, has awesome power and torque, very nimble, at 80mph on the interstate with the windshield up(I'm 6'2" I could still see over it easily) absolutely zero head buffet, it looks great, shifting is smooth, and it's a head turner. Personally I like the look of this fairing over the Road Glide. The best comment I can give is that in July 2019 I bought an Anniversary edition Street Glide Special with only 600 miles on it. Love the bike. On the way back to the Indian dealer toward the end of the Demo ride all I could think about was would they give me enough trade in so that I could get the Challenger. Didn't stick around to find out but in my opinion I would buy this bike any day of the week over the Road Glide. Just my two cents.

Suspension was great, plenty if power, radio sounded good even at 70+ mph with a dull face helmet on in busy memphis tn traffic. The only thing I found I did not like was the handle bars, and that is a easy fix with some minor adjustments. But I really liked the ride, my favorite thing on the bike was the suspension and how great it rode.... rubber down, ride safe and keep up with the great content sir.

    Finally able to slow down and watch this video...I grew up on a Suzuki dirt bike, then a Suzuki dual sport in the army and years later a harley davidson superglide...loved each bike. And love Triumphs...waiting on you to test one. Keep up the great work.

    I’ll be looking at these when my Ultra Limited is past it’s prime. The lack of removable tour pack would be the only draw back, but the live weather map on the screen is awesome.
    Keep up the good work Adam.

    You stated very well the difference in the Challenger. I was able to meet and speak with Indians President and I got to see a couple of them up close at our IMRG/Jack Daniels Ride last week. I was totally amazed at how much thought, engineering and design went into it. Most of the haters see the Shark Nose fairing and instantly think it’s a copy...those really need to watch the Indian (and others) RUclips videos and educate themselves. I’ve been riding for over 50 years and I love riding all bikes. Great “pre-review”

    Indian was very smart to invite you to the flat track races at Sturges last year. H-D had just kicked you to the curb and they said hey, let's talk. My gut told me this would be a very good move for you. I have never been a big bagger fan, but this new bike is looking pretty sweet. This was a very important video. People need to know where you stand. You did good, young man.

    Adam - keep doing what you do, so many of us like multiple brands of motorcycles and getting an honest first hand review of a new one is great. Looking forward to your detailed review of the Challenger. Ride safe, hope to see you at an event in the future!
