i got mine yesterday , gotta say , I m not as impressed as I was when I got Iron Patriot . I think patriot was better designed engineered wise. His lights look more realistic and the light switches are covered up. Patriot also looks to be more die cast than mk42 , 42's chest I plastic, Patriot's is metal
Wait, I thought the hole reason for the power pose series was to get the same figure minus articulation for a lower price. It looks like they left most of the paint apps off it

It's because of you your review that I purchased my first two Sideshow pieces: Mark 42 armor and Tony Stark Mechanic figures. @@optibotimus, why this joint anymore? Shartimusprime have no problems with the Mark 42. Do not pop the arm off, that's not from the instructions. That's extremely unfortunate.
I thought I was gonna have to send mine back cause that right metal shoulder pad that comes on the mark 42 was not sticking. You have to wiggle it in so that it can catch to the magnet, very tricky thing in case some of you haven't noticed that. At first, it appeared that there was no magnet on that pad, but I got it to stick. Overall, it is a very nicely, detailed, diecast, armor I can't wait for the diecast mark III to be released next year.
This Diecast looks better than the power pose, but like you said: the PP still looks impressive! And the thing why I still prefer the PP is because it only has one switch for all the lights!
if there was a way to have an ac adapter for the entire figure instead of have separate compartments for the light up features that would be awesome! taking out and putting back all those batteries are annoying, but I don't think it's even possible to do.

I'll admit this is a bit overpriced but I saved my money. It took hard work and dedication but when I got my $500 I took $325 and purchased this figure. I love this figure and I'm hoping to save for Thor or Captain America next!
The movement creates friction and thus heat. THat's right. But the arm moved not often and quickly, but still falls off. I have received a new Figur for example, there was the arm from... so no movement and no heat. Here is a production error. Any reputable shop can confirm this.

I don't understand the hate on this armor. Sure it's too much gold, but to be honest, his second armor he made in the comics is a fully gold armor, so a fully gold armor isn't really new. I mean, yeah there's red accents, but to be honest I don't really care, it looks different then the original red and gold color scheme, and I like to see different looks.
TheShoky01 The only thing i'm trying to work on better is the manual focus. Autofocus makes things get blurry from time to time. It's still not 100% because i do constantly move objects in front of my camera, so it makes the focus harder to maintain. But it's a work in progress
I don't know if it's the camera doing this or maybe the lighting, but he looks a bit too yellowish. I remember the MK 42 having a bit more of a beige (or something, I suck at colors. lol) look to it. Personally my two favorite armors are Mark 42 and Mark 17 in the MCU and in the comics it’s Mark 41 and model prime armor.

Why does it look so gold? I thought 42 was suppose to have a soft sand color. I cancelled this order and got DOTM jetwing prime.
It looked this way in the film. The majority of the movie though we saw it very dirty and busted up

It's not even a soft sand color, if you watch the movie it's gold before it got battle damaged.
