Lenovo Think Book 15G2ITL , i7 11th generation and , 8 core logical processor, 1.5 TB HDD( 512 SDD for C drive and 1 TB Sata HDD)40 GB RAM and 1 GB Graphics Card and OS has installed Windows 11 Pro. My question is I have run Work station 16 and Run the 2 Esxi Host and When am running VM on ESXI Host . the Laptop getting freezing. Can u tell wht was the exact issue???

i have hp envy laptop with i7 7th gen and 16 gb ram till vsphere 6.5 it worked well but for 8.0 i see it won’t support because of realtek network drivers . after reading some blogs i came to know that vmware stopped supporting realtek network drivers for esxi 8 but i see most of the laptops and desktops are using only realtek drivers . can you suggest and solution for it ?

Your notebook comes with the Realtek 10/100 ethernet adapter and it cannot be upgraded because the ethernet chip is part of the motherboard. If you want a gigabit ethernet connection, then I recommend you purchase an external USB to RJ-45 gigabit ethernet adapter.

Dear Gnan, Let me tell you about my laptop configuration. Lenovo Think Book 15G2ITL , i7 11th generation and , 8 core logical processor, 1.5 TB HDD( 512 SDD for C drive and 1 TB Sata HDD)40 GB RAM and 1 GB Graphics Card and OS has installed Windows 11 Pro. My question is I have run Work station 16 and Run the 2 Esxi Host and When am running VM on ESXI Host . the Laptop getting freezing. Can u tell wht was the exact issue???

The freezing issue you're experiencing while running VMs on ESXi Host could be due to resource allocation. To optimize performance and avoid resource crunch issues, here's a suggested allocation for your VMs based on your available resources:
- ESXi01: Allocate 10 GB RAM
- ESXi02: Allocate 10 GB RAM
- vCenter: Allocate 12 GB RAM (assuming a "Tiny" Deployment Size)
- AD01: Allocate 2 GB RAM
- VM01: Allocate 2 GB RAM
Total memory allocation for VMs = 10 GB + 10 GB + 12 GB + 2 GB + 2 GB = 36 GB
With this allocation, you should still have approximately 4 GB of memory available for other tasks on your laptop.
Additionally, ensure that your CPU and disk resources are also appropriately allocated to each VM instance. Overloading any of these resources can lead to performance issues and freezing.

@@gnancloudgarage can you please suggest any laptop where I can install IBM could pack for integration on an OpenShift platform deployed over vSphere ,Its for lab exercise for training people
i have hp envy laptop with i7 7th gen and 16 gb ram till vsphere 6.5 it worked well but for 8.0 i see it won’t support because of realtek network drivers .
after reading some blogs i came to know that vmware stopped supporting realtek network drivers for esxi 8
but i see most of the laptops and desktops are using only realtek drivers .
can you suggest and solution for it ?

It sounds like you're encountering compatibility issues with Realtek network drivers on ESXi 8.0.
Your notebook comes with the Realtek 10/100 ethernet adapter and it cannot be upgraded because the ethernet chip is part of the motherboard.
If you want a gigabit ethernet connection, then I recommend you purchase an external USB to RJ-45 gigabit ethernet adapter.
