Here in SETX, Redfish would rather eat cut bait than shrimp. But in the winter months, a popping cork and a gulp shrimp will out fish the cut bait. And yes, the cooler the water, the more they will stack up in a school that will just sit there to ambush prey
Been on vacation in the outer banks for a week and it blew from the north the entire time!!!!! Time to pack up and leave, no wind, 20 degrees warmer....never fails!! I just smile and move on.....

With the little smokey joe (webber), all I ever do is crumple up 1 piece of news paper, put it under the bottom grill, put regular charcoal on top of the bottom grill (I usually do a pyramid formation) light the paper, works every time, no lighter fluid or match light charcoal needed! That's why I love the little webber.......FishOn.....Jim
Always get a kick out of southerners talking about the cold when it gets below 70F lol. I look back on my goofy self in southwest PA and how I wear shorts year round no matter if it's 95F or -15F. My dumb self as probably a 12 year old when my uncle asked if I wanted to drive his ATV back to his place from my paps after deer season ended in January and I was so excited. About a mile into the 5 mile trip in 15 degree temps with snowflakes smacking my cheeks I realized he got me🤣 But I fully get it. Give us 80-90 degree temps and 70%+ humidity up here in the summer and we refuse to leave the AC lol. It's amazing what climate acclimation will do to you. Would be fun to see ya'll do an ice fishing video. Plenty of states and variety to after let alone Canadian waters. The best part is you can dress warm and get into a heated ice shake and sweat so bad you end up shedding layers.
The coldest I have ever been was in Mayport Fl. I was in the Coast Guard stationed in Texas. When we left Texas it was 80°. The first night in Florida, it was 31°. I didn't even have a jacket.
I wish I could go fishing with you guys I am from North Carolina Lumberton North Carolina I have always wanted to go on a good fishing trip and just totally enjoyed myself but I have no boat I absolutely love that kind of fishing❤👌

We Australians don’t cook with Australian Pine, we use Hardwood species like Redgum or rivergum, pine is a softwood thats ok for kindling but doesn’t hold heat for long. Best thing about Australian Pine is the mushrooms that grow under them that we pick during deer hunts down here between March and June. 👍🏻
