Hello! Your book presentation is outstanding! I like this edition and would like to purchase it, so i'm wondering what's the quality of paper in this edition and is it on par with present folio society books?

@@springsplinter i would say so, folio society paper varies depending on the book and time of release, but i'm pleased with the quality here, it's fairly thick, relatively smooth, and of course there is no yellowing or anything. i'm no expert though :)

By far my favorite as opposed to the Neil Gaiman/David Kean monstrosity. Comic book writers and their artists should stick to their strengths and leave t his classic alone. Gaiman's been floating around Gormenghast for quite a few years now which is why Kean got the job. Now he wants to redo Peake's masterpiece for Amazon
If it turns out anything like his American Gods, it will probably do .ore damage to Peake"s legacy than Lin Carter's defamation of TITUS ALONE in NEW WORLDS FOR OLD (page 298 quote, "I'd wished it had never been published." ) So mr gaman I wish one hard think before you make a mess of someone else's work Stick to your own...

i think the Dave McKean illustrations still work and some of them are pretty cool, i just prefer this approach for Gormenghast. more atmospheric, not overly designed, just basically sketches the artist could have made walking around the castle.
But yeah i agree the Amazon series just reeks of "bad idea", it would most likely be on par with the Netflix Sandman, which i really didn't like.
the 2000 tv series seems interesting though, at least visually, looking forward to watching that some day (when i finish the books)
