Stranger from the internet here, I've been enjoying the content from this channel for a while. Kinda sad to hear, but at the same time, entirely understandable. At the very least, in between the long breaks, can go back and rewatch some of the older vids if we still get the itch of watching the more skill based content. Keep on keeping on!

I actually have a lot of respect for this decision. Your videos are really helpful for people who want to get the most out of the MMZ series, and you've got no competition on that front. If you step away now, you'll become a legend, and that's probably the most anyone making these videos could ask for. I also think you're absolutely right to identify video games as something to avoid anchoring your life to. Unless you become a developer, chances are you won't be able to lead a fulfilling life that way. I say that as somebody who made the same decision back in 2014. I came to the realization that I was unlikely to get what I wanted in life though gaming, and I also wasn't interested in making my own games. I sold the vast majority of my physical games, and went back to school in 2017 to finish a degree in conservation biology. This is another topic I am passionate about, and it is more likely to help me get what I want out of life. The pandemic made things harder than they should've been, but even after considering that, I'm happy with my decision, and I have some really cool opportunities because of the people I've met due to making that decision. Different people sometimes need different paths and circumstances for success, but this is what worked for me. So, don't feel guilty about stepping away. You've done the entire community an incredible service, and so long as your channel remains, that won't change. Go find something else worthy of your time and attention; you're a legend now.
Having something as an escape has only gotten more and more important with the environment we're in. Everyone else's said it -- we'll be here. Just focus on what matters to you.

It's a very draining thing to try to keep up with. Even with a non-demanding, understanding audience like this one. Further more Megaman is sadly a "dead" series. No, it's still 1k subs, 4k hours for ad revenue specifically. A lot of the people reporting the change is misinforming everyone. 500/3k hours is only to unlock Super Thanks/Chats/etc. and channel memberships. Putting ads on your videos is still restricted to the old requirements.
"hold on I need to go get it" and that's when I panicked and thought "oh no, he's lost it! he's bought Gunvolt!" Jokes aside, you don't need to be aiming for a ceirtain arbitrary quota of content, there's only so much you can do with some games man. Pushing yourself into shoveling more videos out would only make you hate doing it.
This is just my subjective personal opinion and I mean no offense by it, but personally I find the humor aspect to be kinda cringe and I feel like the content you put out is at its best when you are simply just doing a playthrough or explaining/demonstrating things. You really know your stuff and I feel like your knowledge on the series is a big help in spreading the appeal of these games to new fans, so I hope to see more content like that from you in the future. I'm not really bothered at all by the prospect of higher quality videos at the cost of there being fewer of them, or anything similar to that. Whatever direction you choose to go in during this re-evaluation period, I just hope you remember that the most important thing is that you make content because you enjoy making it, and not out of a sense of obligation. Otherwise, burnout is inevitable.

This is just my subjective personal opinion and I mean no offense by it, but personally I find the humor aspect to be kinda cringe and I feel like the content you put out is at its best when you are simply just doing a playthrough or explaining/demonstrating things. You really know your stuff and I feel like your knowledge on the series is a big help in spreading the appeal of these games to new fans, so I hope to see more content like that from you in the future.
I'm not really bothered at all by the prospect of higher quality videos at the cost of there being fewer of them, or anything similar to that. Whatever direction you choose to go in during this re-evaluation period, I just hope you remember that the most important thing is that you make content because you enjoy making it, and not out of a sense of obligation. Otherwise, burnout is inevitable.
