Gday Man... I brought the Boa's and the Caguamas based on your previous videos... as you know the Boas lasted 2 sessions and chunked... I have Caguamas in Orange 80a and Purple 83a and whilst I love them they are slow compared to my new favorite wheel... Speed Vents 85mm. When they say these are the fastest wheels on the planet... trust me... ITS TRUE!
I have the same feeling about the 80mm Kegels, my first "big" wheels.. that made me safely go over road debries & saved me some times. Then got Caguamas too, more cushy but less faster accelerating, then Boas 90 and 100 & Seismics and others for races. But I guess we all have a special wheel set in out longboarding journey!
Caguamas 80A are my choice for my Pantheon Supersonic. They work great for pumping. I had Karmas previously and they are great wheels but I prefer Caguamas specifically for pumping. If you are into pushing I think Karmas are great but I found them too slippery when making sharper turns. Orange Caguamas are very grippy!
I started longboarding in 2010 ish and didn't try an otang wheel until this year, 2024. Knowing full well that the dad bod wasn't the ultimate performance wheel is still spent an extra ~50% more money because that orange colour. Real glad I didn't buy the blues and have them chunked. After a summer of almost daily use the orange dad bods look almost new.
*What is back bro!* LOVE the outtake 😂 🤙🏽⚡️🤙🏽 I love the blue cags but I'm comin from eBoarding. For regular skatin I would have to agree the OJs do it Just ordered the blue dad bods, didnt like the orange. Hope they send you some blue bods dude!
I got these on a Sector 9 pintail, they def require a set of risers if you plan on doing any deep carves. Can't recall what size risers I have (1/2 inch I think) but you want to start there since these are some chonker wheels! Sticking with these until something can outshine them! Their color also holds up as well! After several sessions, they still look bright orange 👌
Yeah depending on the board shape you might need risers, I once fit them on an apex 37 without risers tho! And they are definitely a great ride! And yeah the color holds! I’ve had mine 2 years and they’re still bright, I just wash them occasionally!
Most brands make some good cruiser boards. On a budget tho, check out Landyachtz, Arbor, Sector 9, or Rayne. Stay away from Walmart, Target, and B Amazon boards.
Excellent video. You sound natural and I like the narrative aspect of the review rather than just jumping right in. Subbed.
Hahah thanks!! I love telling stories!
