@Maya Sprague You can do the crumple technique with wet or dry fabric; if the fabric is wet, the dye will better permeate the fabric and create more of a blended look, and if the fabric is dry, the dye won't move through the fabric at all. Either way, make sure to carefully flip your crumpled fabric over and spray onto the backside as well for a complete look. Good luck!
Thanks. I was wondering about the back sides. So if the shirt is wet will the colour permeate to the back side, and if so I imagine the colour would not be as vibrant as on the front. Correct? Thinking the wet technique is best to achieve more muted colour intensity and the dry for more crisp colours and less bleed?
The spray bottles are terrible!!!! I bought this kit and none of them work at all!!! It got everywhere and none of the bottles worked. It just made a huge mess and ruined everything!!! I am so disgusted :(
We have found that the dye concentration works best if used within 24 hours of activating with water. You can certainly try to use the dye after a 24-hour time period, it just might not turn out as vibrant as it would if applied right after activation.

Question ... do you need to pre-wash the shirt before spray dyeing?
@Hxppy Face ... Yes! You can definitely pour One-Step Dye into your own spray bottles and apply it that way.
So Tulip doesn’t show working with Tulip spray can dying. Just this working with the spray bottle.
