Ben Daniels right! Lol that’s what I came to the comments for! Hahaha he is for sure looking at a monitor on top of the camera I think on the hot shoe mount. Whatcha think?
This less clean noise performance of the EOS R in 4K is quite understandable and easily calculated from the maths of the sensor area used for 4K: the EOS R uses only 238 square-mm of the total area of the 864 sqmm (36x24) full-frame sensor for 4K because of the 1.8x crop. On the other hand the A7III uses 729 sqmm, exactly three times larger, so, assuming the same level of sensor performance, the 4K image in Sony is expected to be 1.5 stop cleaner because it has 3 times more total amount of light. The much higher data bit rate, and the 10-bit external recording possibility of the EOS doesn't help here; the more data just produces more noise data. Practically the EOS R 4K noise level might be only a tiny bit cleaner than GH5S, which has 208 sqmm 4K sensor area. If we assumed that the GH5S might have more modern, more efficient sensor technology, this small amount of extra total light on EOS R might be negated by the GH5S more efficient sensor. The Sony A6500/A6400 all has 324 sqmm area for 4K image which gives them some edge over the EOS R in noise performance. It is as simple as that, pure photography physics and maths. DPReview has excellent tutorials on how to calculate noise level, and the experiments, like yours, fully support the laws of physics.
Am I the only one who actually prefers the canon? Know, I do not own one. But the colors as soon as it hits around 500 iso is just so much more vibrant in comparison to the cold and blue look of the Sony.
IF CANON DOESNT COMES OUT WITH A NEW BETTER MODEL WHICH CAN BEAT LUMIX S1 AND SONY A7III BY August 2019 CANON WILL LOOSE A BIG MARKET SHARE IN INDIA AND WORLD WIDE IN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER AND WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER SEGMENT.
I only watched this to give you a bit of support Manny.... the a7iii or a7riii or a9 are just on another level to canon & nikon first generation of FF mirrorless cameras.... dont waste your money on one is my opinion...
Canon is no match for Sony in low light. The highlight roll off is better with Canon and you have to up the sharpness in the profile or the Canon will look really soft in 4k. I have th eos R and have been happy with it so far, but Sony is very tempting...maybe the A7IV might be when I get a Sony.
The canon may be more noisy. But the colour profile is far superior. On the Sony everything is far to blue. Looks completely unnatural. I would definitely choose the canon.
The higher you put the ISO the less light the camera needs. But this is at a cost getting more noisier the higher ISO you put it. When there is too much light in the area around you or a sunny day a low ISO value is needed.
Man, is it just me or the Canon is just terrible quality at 4K? The Canon just gets easily noisier at 3200 and above. It's the Sony is 2+ stops better.
Hi can i know what are your settings? My eos R seems to have problem when i shoot video, it shows very major grains at iso1600++, and totally unusable at 6400iso i have no idea why, I am shooting 1080p on a 16-35 2.8. Is this a camera problem?
Do you have a Canon EOS R? I would love to hear from you and see what you think.
I have both câmeras of u vídeo regreat buy EOS r
I just wanna know what you were looking at😂

why does nobody making these comparisons understand this??? thank you
thanxx broo❤️❤️

These videos are great! Whenever I'm going to need to buy a new camera, I will watch these videos
The lazy side of life thanks! Glad it helps you

Great comparison, but at the beginning it felt awkward; who or what were you looking at while speaking??
I think he was counting so he would know when to stop recording
Thanks for the info. I been needing to get another camera for work but wasn't sure where to start.
The Af and the colors of the canon is so much better...
Sony destroyed that low light test, but we're a canon house and it would be more expensive to move to sony in a long run. Sigh.
Strange color on the Sony no ? Seeing what is on the screen behind

I have a canon but its not good without alot of light, I mean a lot 😑 dont no much about others
BEAUTY BY SHANA yea it’s because of the high MP so it suffers a bit
Which camera?
From your test I can see in the eos-r it's very granny from 4000 iso
Gil Knafo - DSLR Wedding Videography yea it is around that area. No surprise on Sony part though. It’s still going strong there
Awesome!

Do you try low light in full hd ? Are they same as 4k ? Canon eos R ?
EOS R question: why does ISO2000 look way better than ISO100 or ISO200?
The higher you put the ISO the less light the camera needs.

@@kealz318 This didn't answer the question
sleepy bro looks high.
dope video! :)
How much would these cost?
Mermaid Kells quite a lot
Canon is actually much further away from you, correct?
you need to change your lens non of your eos r videos are going fine!

Geri Brn no it’s not just you. The noise is noticeable and not the best compare to the Sony
ive subscribed too...
bruh half of your video is out of focus
fake
The canon sucks!
Canon is a joke

I'm on the same boat... same lens and camera and same problem
Yes eos r ain’t best in lowlight
Focus is wrong man...
