Before I get reamed (although I would secretly enjoy it), it's Lotus 108 and 110. Not 109, I apologize to the pedantic twats in the comments who want to father children with GCN Presenters.
Don't forget to to say and light her up I love your channel
typical person off the council estate, shouting to annoy everyone haha
btw... the Lotus 109 is an actual F1 car.
@@RobinHood-yk8og right 👍
Lol
That was an interesting one, especially the final comments about direct comparisons between frames. Makes obvious sense
This is my go to channel for all things cycling Hambini.
Thank you for the latest instalment 👍
Mr. Hambini, thank you for the work you do.
The thing about GCN, is that its not journalism, its actually entertainment (similar to Top Gear for cars). If you looks at it in that perspective you will enjoy it. Its light, its fun, and its heavily sponsored by main brands. Thats why you hardly see any Asian brands etc in it (exp ur latest Ican wheels)
Except it's not. They 100pc claim to do "science". They often can these videos gcn does science. So if they fudge the results, it's called fraud. A hairdresser is a hairdresser
Except Top Gear wasn't sponsored by any car brand and was happy to call things they reviewed rubbish.
@@Rover200Power Bob on Rover. I just can't trust GCN, that's the bottom line.
@@Robutube1 GCN is essentially one long advert masquerading as entertainment.
I don’t believe that, most if not all of their videos are now sponsored content with some of them masquerading as entertainment. When money is involved there is always bias, and money is involved with them a lot.
If Sensah actually releases an electronic group that would be very nice. Chinese manufacturers stirring up a highly priced market is always great to see.
ltwoo is about to release some hydraulic shifters. i think they'll get to electronic before sensah
Anyone that thinks that plugging in your bike is a good idea is a group manufacturer or a weenie. Yes they shift marginally better, but do you find it just too hard on your feminine little hands to manually shift a bike?
And wireless brakes too
@@tomkunich9401 I can't afford electronic groupset nor want one. Current mechanical shifter is so much better than my first manual shifter in 90's. I don''t need to fiddle around the shifter tab back & forth to get that perfect chain shifting from one gear to the next. Plus, it's not even straining that much on your fingers and forearm muscles. Only downside is that I've replaced rear shifter cables twice in past 3 years only because I ride my gravel bike 5 days a week as commuter.
@@tomkunich9401 Try mechanical shifting on a tandem. Not only the shifting for the derailleurs finicky, getting extra long cables for the the tandem is a premium. Then as the captain, you need display shift indicators instead of asking your stoker how was the shift. Di2 display junction A and di2 was a life saver, setup once and forget it.
8:50 Screenshot taken. Thank you! ;) Watching your "show" from few months and must say it's a good one! Keep them coming... 👍
Highly appreciate the build quality ranking list. Thank you.
If those mediocre brands manage to win the TDF, the worlds and so many races … what’s the point really? If it’s good enough for them, it’s good enough for us.
@@BartSchrijvers I’m a mechanic at a community bike shop that receives and refurbishes, and either give away or sell all sorts of frames. This list might help me either not miss a gem in a pile or waste time on a piece of shi**. Also, to your point, when I drop my pals on their new Madone’s, I can be that friendly chap that tells them that it must be my Winspace and not their fat slow *sses… but I’m sure that any real pro could drop me on a huffy kids trike no matter wtf I’m straddling.
@@daveanolik8837 yeah sure, it’s interesting to know and yet, it appears not to be that important. I’m a bit sceptical because the ‘mediocre’ brands have entry level and top tier bikes, all considered as the same garbage here. And as you point out, it’s the guy on the bike making all the difference, so I sometimes wonder why I’m watching 😅
I have 3 of the brands that he calls out as shit and no problems and like them all. I ride and race 10K miles per year.
@@BartSchrijvers IDK if big brands supply the same frames to their consumers as to their sponsored team, but take giant alone, their ex-team bike frames were couple hundred grams heavier than those that are sold to the public, this clearly shows that they've made specific areas stronger. But as consumers, we judge on what we get, and sure if you are happy to pay 8k for an sl7, there you go, I own one a sl7 as well, and there were issues with the expander and fork, so idk mate...
I was actually the one recommending Mobile grease. Friction of the balls can exceed the temperature range lithium grease can sustain!
Just bought some dura ace wheels (half price discounted)for a retro build based on your reviews 👍. I'll be ordering one of your bottom brackets for my 2016 defy this week. Keep up the good work and honest reviews.
11:54 "Patent is't really valid in China" 🤣 Hambini...you are brutally honest!
I just bought a Time frame with Ultegra and Dura Ace C50 wheels. Partially because of your vids/review. When you see one in person you understand. The other major brands show exposed/raw carbon and it looks like a defect, but Time shows raw carbon and it’s a work of art
As a fellow Time frame owner myself, I trust their touted RTM method. It's like looking at clothing. Other brands are just made with patches of "fabrics" piled together with loose threads showing while Time is knitted like a sweater.
@@Reanimator999 That's a very good analogy
The surface weave is just an extra layer to make it look nice. All it does is add weight and isn't required for anything but looks. But it's nice when they make bikes look pretty I suppose.
@@countspokeula539 Nno one wants an expensive bike that doesn’t look nice 😉
Thanks for speaking the truth brother!
Thanks Hambini for these videos. I do especially appreciate your recommendations of which brands I can trust. Recently, I have had my eye on a Dengfu bike.
big thanks Dr H for Al good information
OoOoH just in time, I was getting ready for beddy bye byes
gees you were quick

2:22 GOAT "I think it's an apology"
a true engineer. the last section between frames is a point in case. without all the data and all with the same datum point, a true answer can't be given. you have stayed true to your principals, anything else would be speculation.
Top stuff again
thanks for answering my question (half assed :P )
I actually had a chat with someone from sensah, they confirmed a new groupset (didnt tell if it was Di2 or hydraulic brakes or both though) and that it will be available -and I quote: "as soon as the end of this year"
I like these informative less shouty vids.
Funniest vid in a long time , starting to wonder, if your bb’s creak too 😂 can see it coming on next top gear/GCN show 😂😂
My first Argon definitely didn't get so high in this ranking. If you don't delete your emails, you might still have mine from some years ago with the pictures of a chipped BB. But to their credit, they honoured the warranty without a blink and the second frame has been fine so far. I managed to put a one piece BB in. I don't know if I will ever manage to put it out 😂
Interesting to see that you rank cube so high, I didn't see it myself, but from forums and so it seems that in the litening the inserts for the thru axle in the fork are skew and so the front wheel isn't straight.
Sensah needs to release a proper full hydraulic break before venturing into electronic derailleurs.
Love a good sunday reeming
7:43 The Table of Build Quality by Hambini(R)
ps. my old LOOK 585 approves it!
ps.2. thanks a lot for all the technical informations presented on your yt channel!
I don't have a question but wanted to comment anyway. This is it.
Hambini time!!!
longer wheelbase=better cruising ? i say yes!
It’s an early morning reaming for me!
Pre work for me 😏 just make them hours breeze by
I bought a cheap alu Dolan frame to ride in the winter with mudguards. The Front forks were great, but the rear brake clearance was tiny and a mudguard would not fit between the tyre and the brake bridge
Nice video! If you get time and desire, would be interesting to see examples of body positions that optimizes aerodynamics and why it does. Also how to optimize aerodynamics with existing road helmet? Mine is Kask Protone. Do I need to buy specialized 3rd version of evade?
Definitely think an electronic Sensah group would be great, but based on the reviews I've seen, getting disc brakes that won't put you into the hospital or weigh 1000lbs might be a better use of their R&D money in the medium term.
I feel like there should be a line drawn under Giant and Focus - yes they're less than ideal lately, but what comes below that is diabolical. Though in my limited experience of the brands listed, finally there have been fewer issues with Cervelos in the 2022 model year. Whether that's an aberration or actually reflects improvement I don't know.
More samples needed...
I'm about to buy a road bike....you've made my search choices better...thanks.
Get a steel one
Thanks for the video ! I wonder where you would put Scott in your quality shart 🧐🤓
Ha! Whatever with Cube being up there in quality! You should see my slanted front wheel from the dropouts not being parallel on my front fork! It's a Cube Litening Pro 2021. Wiggle wouldn't warranty it and had the cheek to say it looked fine when it was clear the wheel was not centred!
Making the assumption they aren't just lying (which is always possible of course), I expect the lotus doesn't really fit Si or Ollie well enough to allow them to take full advantage both in aerodynamics and ability to lay down consistent power. There are also other factors beyond aerodynamics, like the original tires.
A curious result to be sure.
Hello Sensah fans and welcome, I think 'when' Sensah release their electronic groupset they should put more effort into quality control, I've got 2 sets of empire pro, work well, bought derailleurs for my TT bike with Sram bar end shifters, after a couple of races shifting turned poor and got click click clicking like end stop was out........turns out the circlip that holds 10mm the hanger bolt in place was loose and buggered the housing, One scrap rear derailleur, fitted Sram now.
Love how you apologised at the beginning then went on to talk about rasping PTs arse 🙈
Sunday on a Saturday , Fwd to the Future
They didn't actually say the bike was as fast as or slower. In their comparison, that is how the times came out. BUT, they said the bike wasn't optimized for them and would be faster if it was. The bike wasn't theirs and they couldn't make a lot of changes to it. They did talk about that. I am not a GCN fanboy at all. I have a few issues with them too.
@Yippee Skippy I can't complain about that. I have a bit of a crush on Manon too.
@@DaveCM She's a bit of a , shall we say, heff, if you know what I'm saying.
@@quantumdecoherence1289 At least that heff is her built muscles over the years unlike most of other women.
@Yippee Skippy She gets on my wick (if you pardon the expression).
HELLO HAMBINI! 💪🔥🥰
Helloooooooo Hambini!
My take home message from the GCN Video (as a keyboard warrior) was that for some dudes like Si and ollie the bikes worked out to me about similar, because in their stage of training they couldnt put the power down in the extreme aero position.
the learning for me as a bike rider is that i really really dont ever want to ride a bike like that. Everything hurt just from watching them getting into the aero position.
I remember the show in question, I thought it was a kinda silly comparson, basically clickbait. But I do remember one them making the point that getting into and then maintaining that position would take some serious training.
Not sure if it would be something you'd be interested in but how about some comparisons of frame building techniques with pros/cons? There's some clever looking tech with stuff like bonded carbon/titanium MTB and gravel bikes, numerous different carbon layup / composition claims etc
Thanks Hambini ! Have you ever had the opprotunity to assess the quality of ROSE Bikes Frames ? Just curious if you would compare them to Canyon, or if they're better.
I am not that impressed with my Trifox hardtail frame, but then again I have not been that impressed with the 100+ santa cruz mtb frames I have worked on either. Considering the price, trifox comes out on top!
Thanks
Hey Hambini. Cool to see you mentioned Merida. Wanted to ask what you think on their overall build quality?
Hambini is on 🔥🔥🔥🔥💥💥🌶️🔥❤️
Any chance of you reviewing SuperTeam carbon wheels? I love mine, and they get really good reviews, but I'd be interested in your expert opinion of the build quality and value.
Interesting that you rank focus and cervelo on different levels considering they come out of the same factory ( Kenstone metals)
good stuff again. GCN , the speakers for the brands. money talks Hambini. They do have good videos & you can learn for sure. The best are actually the movies they have on GCN+
Hairstyl talks*
Buy muck off buy muck off. Buy park tools buy park tools. That what I get from gcn
And pretentious, prior park or kingswood public school vibe way too much,
😁 park tool comment is gold
I actually think the movies are meh. The latest one with the ordinary guy doing the etape was just full of filler material and repeated shots.
Hello @Hambini! And thanks for a great video! I am wondering about your ranking of Pinarello. I don't remember you giving it a reaming or having read criticism elsewhere. Can you point me to the relevant video/reference/evidence?
We lost Mike Burrows this summer. I guess as good a time as any to ask if you ever gave bicycles that are not some variation on the "safety bicycle" a thought ? ^^
Did you see Francis Cade's video a couple of days ago at Kona with aero testing gadgets?
Love all your content. Was wondering if you put Felt in with Taiwan ranking? I like felt but I'm a sucker sometimes
I haven't had enough of them recently to reliably comment
@@Hambini thanks 😊
thanks for brand list, it should really make the top tiers of the pro peloton work a lot harder. regulars should listen to you.
Hopefully my cad12 lasts, I wonder how Cinellis new and old gods would do?
There are a few that assert vintage models, especially steel ons.
And I recently discovered a real crack in my aluminium bike, it held for almost 25 years,
most likely less since the could have been there for some time...
You will often see that many bike parts last a very long time with special care.
Do these vintage bikes warrant a heads up thats say; "they will last till they dont!"
I did my part y’all step it up for Hambini he’s the nicest most honest smart pedaling bloke in RUclips show ur respect with some likes and comments to get some algorithms Mc loving stop being greedy and spread the word
Wtf is this telegram prize shizzle?
Would love your thoughts on the Fabric ALM saddle made in conjunction with Airbus. I have a bunch of them and love them. Never had any structural problems and I find them very comfy. A decent weight weenie option as well considering their strength.
Only your opinion matters. If you love these saddles, great!
Any opinion on Scott bikes? I have a couple I’ve really liked and had no issues. Always curious if I’ve just been lucky
Do you know if the Time Skylon will offer internal cable routing? Have you evaluated the FACTOR 02 VAM?
Been seeing some nice Mason bikes recently.
What do you think of current Scott carbon frames? Never ridden one but they look interesting. Thanks!
As a Colnago c59 ovner, im interessede in where you would put in the Colnago bikes.
Having been scared to death of buying a new carbon bike, I just stuck in an order for a custom steel frame with compact geometry. Had any experience with UK custom frame builders?
You're young to make a lot of Trans-bike nerds happy Hambini! Cheers! Proud of you!
There are none. He uttered a few words and got auto admonished by the algorithm and got a robo email threatening his account
I thought he come out finally, and I do t even have gaydar
I own and enjoy a two year old Cerveló Caledonia 5, Ultegra di2, Reserve wheels........Since discovering your videos, I'm wondering whether I would have been better off buying a Winspace, and Farsports wheels. I have to say, my C5 is less 'all day comfortable' than the 2014 De Rosa Merak it replaced! No bottom bracket issues on C5........yet.
Enjoyed you video, as usual.
Your ranking of the frames are for carbon bikes I assume. Wondering how will you rank Alu frames?
I was looking for alu frames in Ali and it seems there aren't that many available that are competitively priced if you take in the import cost into account.

Storks are things that bring babies :) Storcks are bicycles. There is no comparison between the bikes from a few years ago and what they are producing in the era since they did a Canyon and started selling direct.
Great show as always but u do own a2014 spelized tarmac sl4 wish I love and look after
Yay or Nay bro on my new purchase Look 795 Blade Hunt wheels? - my hairdresser approves…😅
The new LeMond bike looks interesting, if it ever comes out! Just wondering what your opinion is on it? Seems like it’s doing away with bladders and using a honey comb type structure
I asked Lance Armstrong and he said it was sh##!
What you think about 3T??.. if I read it correctly they are also going to starting to use in house filament winding for their carbon fiber !!:)
Hi Hambini. Can you please create a video explaining which tire setup is quickest? Clincher Vs tubeless Vs tubular.
Assuming the bike used is an all round race bike or an aero bike. Pretty much a bike we would see during a tdf race.
Yeah that's a great for a video. In the meantime there's always www.bicyclerollingresistance.com/
Interesting stuff and I’m not even a roadie!

Hambini, I was happy to see Time at the top of your list. For my next bike, I'm waffling between Time and Fara. Any opinions on Fara?
While scrolling the GCN comments on that video, can't seems to find anyone questioning the result. Are they removing "negative" comments?

What's the most aerodynamic bar wrap, socks, and cable housing. 😊
12:44 thought I'm the only one who use Mobil grease as a chamois cream. My hairdresser recommended me to use some WD40 as a hairspray.

Where would you rank Wilier and Ridley?
When Hambini is made to apologize for being crass, it's all over. Whomever contacted him about that - go to hell.
Better watch out, they'll find out who your employer is and lobby them to get you fired and you'll have to change your user name 😂
Nah, Takes class to do that.
Hambini shouldn't apologize for getting pronouns wrong because he did his best to address everyone in his own way. Little mistake like that shouldn't bother anyone. It's those holier-than-thou PC wankers who have nothing to do but whining and complaining.
I'm amazed at how many people basically want to be told what to buy (or, in many cases be told that their bike is great i.e. the insecure ones who wouldn't want to believe it, if they were told that it's crap).
What I like about this channel is that I'm given "tools" to help me in the decision process considering my own experience, style of riding, needs and idiosyncrasies.
To me, the fastest bike is the ones that fits me the best in term of geometry, riding position and comfort i.e. maintaining the position for long period of time without discomfort or losses of power.
And Hambini can't know that.
However, with a better understanding of aerodynamics, QA and QC, thanks to Hambini and PT, I can make a better choice among two bikes who fits me great.
Boy, I wish some of you guys would grow up and make your own decisions.

think each main manufacturer can replicate the same position within a couple of mm, so commenting on their quality sounds obvious.. then again, im on my fourth specialized frame now and never had a creaking bb or any other problem except the recall on my sl7, which was taking care of same day, over a cup of coffee
@hambini I'm curious about CUBE and with you put it up there better all the other mainstream brands :) if it's so good could be my next bike!
No need to be sorry, feelings are their problem.
That’s what I thought on the GCN video.. taking us for fools
What about BMC old rim and new disc caron road bike frames? Thanks
In some not so distant future it would be nice to hear more on your thoughts on Campagnolo as a brand. Pros/cons and what comes to mind from your perspective. For some time I have been fascinated with their groupsets and unfortunately haven't tried any out yet. 😶🌫
I used to love Campy, but I switched to something available
What do you consider newish Cannondale? What years?
Pen is workiiinggggg
"have our engineers pick out a few of the good ones from the lot and send them to Hambini"
Bold of you to assume any of the “western” bike companies still have engineers working for them, let alone having them in the factory in China to touch or see any frames
"I feel the need...." What's the rest of the T Shirt say ?
Kia ora Hambini. Is the quality as good from Time now that the company was sold or should I look for an older Scylon? I have Time shoes and pedals both road and mtb that have proven very durable (90's and 2000's).
Yes I would say so. The method they use is statistically much less likely to produce faults
Have you seen much from Reap bikes? British manufacturer with a new road bike and in house carbon fibre. Could be a British Time!
