Rex Calabrese was the top mob boss before Carmine Falcone
I love hearing these comments ❤
Clancy Brown is the grey long hair guy in the shot you recognized
He's playing Salvatore Maroney!
Oh yeah lex Luther
I hate trailers that spoil the entire movie/tv show , this is perfect.
Farrell is unrecognizable, this is what acting is about. Embodying the role completely and making it your own.
You don’t even know that’s Colin Farrell with that makeup effect. It’s like a different person you’re looking at.
@@elperrodelautumo7511 It's the voice I still can't get over, usually you hear bits of the actor your familiar with come through but not here, it's fantastic
March and April are basically the best months for Teaser Trailers.
If this show gets a season 2 it would be cool to see black mask or the bertinelli family appear.
Bertinelli would be a great way to spawn off the huntress naturally too!
Sighs
It’s a mini series
bro this is giving me Daredevil Season 1 Kingpin vibes and Im loving it
Yh but if Daredevil didnt have Daredevil in it 😮
The guy sitting across from Penguin is Clancy Brown playing Sal Maroni, the crime boss before Falcone. He was mentioned in The Batman
Not before. More like a rival at the same time. He is also the one who scars Two Face.
The Cinematography is just like The Batman dope 🙌🙌🙌🙌
Really loved Robert as The Batman and I love Colin as The Penguin. I was scared how the movie would turn out but it was great and I'm really hyped for this now.
Same with the dark knight, I was worried about Ledger going into it and it was a generational performance.
This looks intense and im here for it.
wait that was Colin this whole time , mind blown I didn't even notice it was him! I always thought highly of him as an actor but dude is a legit legend now 👍
A lot of people liked The BATMAN. It's just the ones that didn't are always the loudest voices in the room.
Agreed.Just look at Tom from Midnight's Edge. He's always hating on the film. But I have a feeling that his brain gets so used to the amount of crap Marvel been giving him to consume. That his brain can't comprehend a great film. When he sees one.
Alien Romulus teaser, now this? Finally some good news about movies that are happening this year.
Gotham looks like Gotham... Not like the two last Nolan movies...
I also liked The Batman, I'm looking forward to this.
This looks absolutely amazing! I'm beyond hyped for this show. Anything from The Batman universe is going to be top level in every regard to filmmaking/tv production. This show can't come soon enough!
Colin escaped with a jewel of a role, so happy for him, after so many years of not finding that "one", looks he's finally developed a portrayal and performance worthy of Pacino/Gandolfini/Deniro/Depp/Bernthal respects.
Rex Calabrese was a generic mobster. In New 52, he was retconned to be Catwomen's father instead the traditional "Carmine Falcone".
Cinema is back on the menu boys
Actually he did limp around collin Ferrell was limping around
Penguin is my favorite Batman villain.
The makeup on Colin is crazy good. I loved The Batman and the Penguin. This looks great.
It feels like The Sparanos in Gotham. nice
Rex Calabrese was Catwoman's dad but in the last movie they made Carmine Falcone her dad so I dont know if they will do anything further with Rex
LOOKS GREAT 😊👏👍 !
I can't believe that "THE PENGUIN 🐧" is getting his own live-action TV series ! It's one of the EXTREMELY FEW things that I'm really looking forward to regarding DC AND MARVEL superhero (supervillain, in this case) movies, TV shows, and all !
Looks great
Clancy Brown is the actor who is sitting opposite the table and he is playing Salvatore Maroni who is the head of the Marone crime family and was main rival to Carmine Falcone. It was mentioned very briefly at the beginning of The Batman that he had been put away during the mayoral debate that the mayor was watching on his tv before he was killed by The Riddler.
He threw acid on Harvey Dent.
@@michealclark928 yep! Thats the one!
7:17 that's one and only Clancy Brown! Animated Lex Luthor!
Best Lex Luthor actually
@@prixodiydacha8114 obviously
The city Gotham in The Batman and this looks so good my favorite Live action Gotham.
My appreciation for Colin as an actor underwent a significant transformation upon witnessing his portrayal in this particular role. It was as if he seamlessly merged with the essence of iconic gangster personas, reminiscent of both De Niro and Al Pacino, yet crafted something entirely distinct and mesmerizing. His performance left me utterly astonished. Im more interested in this then another batman movie.
God This looks great! Alien Romulus, then this! I'm a happy camper as a film/tv fan right now.
Colin has been on an incredible run recently in terms of character acting, with Penguin, Henry Drax and Porridge in Banshees 😅
Defo robbed of the Oscar. Never knew he had all these in him tbh.
This looks amazing.
& the guy with grey hair sitting across the table from the penguin, looks like Clancy Brown.
7:52 that is footage from The Batman, when Riddler blows the charges and starts the flood.
Just listened to this on my walk home and it's amazing, even audio only!
That praise, I can't give most things.
Calabrese was created in the New 52 run, he was Salina’s father in that run of Batman Eternal. Interesting!.
Spring time for Teasers everywhere
Sopranos goes penguin.
The explosion was when Riddler detonated the sea walls. I’m willing to be it’s either a flashback, or early on in the show.
Looks good
I wish we could see this Collin Ferrell with Christian Bales Batman. Crazy character transformations!
Rex Calabrese was also Catwoman's father in the comics
Looks like Hollywood finally read the instructions of , How to Pull their Heads out of their Collective Asses. Lol 😂
He's doing DeNiro as Capone from Untouchables
7:15 Clancy Brown as Salvatore Maroni
Oh yes, can't wait, just hope n pray gunn doesn't cancel the batman 2, that would be a crime lol, spot on Mr H
He won't.Gunn and Reeves has a good relationship.
7:25 Clancy Brown
Mr. H: Typefaces have a usually subtle effect. Thanks for pointing it out.
I’m so hype for the penguin series This is personally my most anticipated series of this year so I’m looking forward into seeing it this fall.
What about Joker 2 ?
@@superbatusPL Joker 2 is not a series it’s movie but yes I’m am excited for the Joker 2 it’s definitely in my top 10 most anticipated movies of this year I just hope the movie is not a full on musical.
@@donavinrodriguez6288 Me too but from what i know from first test screening people saying that there are a lot musical aspects but they are not that bad they also says that this movie is very bloody soo i think this movie is goona be on same level as first Joker
@@superbatusPL you know I actually don’t hate the idea of Joker being a musical it just when I meant a Full on musical I meant like a movie like Les Miserables where every dialogue in that movie is someone singing but if it’s something like Singin’ in the rain then yeah cool also I would be happy if it was like the first one and too hear that is bloody gets me even more excited.
@@donavinrodriguez6288 I'm very excited hearing that's this is goona be bloddy movie because tbh the first Joker wasn't that bloddy i mean there was a few scenes like Arthur killing Randal but that's all and hearing that's Joker 2 is more bloddy then the first one is really great it's just hyped me more and about musical i think there will be max 3 or 4 songs (btw one of songs that will be in a movie is "That’s Entertainment" ) and that's all and people who saw the screen test saying that movie is way diffrent then others musicals films soo it will be just a few scenes when Arthur and Harley dancing and singing but in a dark way if they do that in dark way then this movie will be definetly a f**king masterpiece maybe even it will be better then the first one we will see
Hope Robert Pattinson is in this show at some point.
I have a feeling that he would appear in the finale.
3 great Teasers in a row! wooo!
Can't remember the last time i could say that.
I really like the focus on his crime empire building and desire to be remembered as respectable man. Penguin has an internal conflict where he deperately desires respect and adoration at the same time he is obsessed with money and power. Iconnic classic mobster trope. The bird obsession came later, during DC's age of slapstick villains, but was integrated into the serious mobster image later. Overall, I feel Cobblepot is the most realistic, believeable, and in some ways sympathetic of all Batman villains.
Reminds me of the Sopranos. Can't wait to see it.
Warner Bros is having a banner year at theatrical films and on HBO
A good mob movie in the Batman U? Yes please.
I watched the batman on the cinema and I knew Colin Farrell was in it but he was that good I didn't realise it was him till I checked to see if it had any end credit scene's and it came up in the RUclips search loved have watched several times since I'm proper looking forward to this finger's crossed it's as good as the movie
Emmy level of performance. Just so good.
Looks good ! He embodies the character completely , the makeup , voice , this is first rate acting , outstanding ! Peace.df.
I thought the Penguin sounded like Andy Garcia.
Colin Farrell blew that shit to hell. He is the Penguin.
The Kingpin of Gotham has arrived.
GMK Godzilla in the corner will never not make me giggle
This looks really good. Did not know it was being made. I really liked The Batman. My only thing with the movie is it could have been maybe 10 minutes shorter. Other than that movie was great.
Yes it looks amazing!
Looks great doesn't feel like penguin or anything to do with batman would make a great old school mafia film as well
the..shots..here..are..most..bigscreen..worthy.......if..it's..consistently..like..this...?..heck..yes.
"When I was a kid..." = "When I was a boy..."
It looks great Mr H. But if it continues straight after ‘The Batman’. I’m wondering how it will fare. Breaking free from the shadow, cast by that film?! 🤔
Colin Farrell is a high point of The Batman. I said at the time he would be great as a villain protagonist for a feature a la Joker. Farrell has just gotten better with age. See The Gentlemen.
The actor he’s visiting in jail is Maroni the mob boss that Carmine framed in the Batman to take over the city.
That explosion's from The Batman when Nigma's bombs along the seawall go off H.
Looks savage 🎥🍿
Great trailer
Delaying The Batman 2 is the worst idea after seeing this trailer
Dune Part Three Messiah might not happen until 2026 as well
The girl is maybe from a flashback of the Catwoman's mother...
I think you could put The Joker, The Batman, and The Penguin in the same movie timeline.
Sopranos reboot looks awesome 👌
I hope it's as good as True Detective Season 1.
Looks good.
The guy sitting at the table opposite penguin was reminiscent of Clancy Brown....maybe
7:17 Recognize the actor? Clancy Brown. Or do you mean if he was in "The Batman"? No, he wasn't.
That's Clancy Brown, the Kurgun from Highlander
Mr Krabs from SpongeBob 😂
@@Frank074and animated Lex Luthor
Well I’m happy someone from your community is positive on the Reeves verse. I’m shocked that G&G, Az,Nerdrotic and drinker don’t like it. I think it’s fantastic.
It does look good and brutal 👍
it used to be a meme, if colin ferrel was in the movie, the movie was gonna suck. nvr thought that was fair to him, but after the soulless, corporate remake of total recall, i felt like maybe the meme was true. bad luck i guess. but he is slaying this role, w the right character, right script and right director. glad for colin to be able to shine as i always thought he was talented.
I'm getting The Sopranos vibes
Wish the movie wasn't delayed
So many teasers dropping
Hope this is worth the wait.
Epic !!!
It's about time we got AAA performances.
The Batman sequel is absolutely still coming.
Looks excellent! Holy shyte!
I think Colin Farrell might be the most talented (working) actor who hasn't won an academy award yet. I'll watch anything he's in
This is like The Sopranos levels for me, but not trying to be Sopranos.
Rex "The Lion" Calabrese is from Prime Earth. He was a gangster before Batman, and the father of that universe's Selina Kyle (Calabrese), who was abandoned at age 9.
Carmine Falcone was his successor.
The man he's talking to might be Salvatore Maroni. In The Batman a newspaper headline said his gang was busted for drugs, so Oswald might be visiting him in Blackgate.
Other world's canon have Carmine Falcone as Selina'a father, but different worlds, different canon.
Very cool movie
Is it possible that Farell is channelling Pacino and DeNiro at the same time?
and Al Capone lol
This looks so fucking good 🤯🤯🤯
