- I first tried like 7 different cleaners, none worked!! I saw a lady's youtube video that she used Kaboom, she wet the floor laid paper towels flat then soaked them with Kaboom and let it sit overnight!! So after searching many stores we found it. It works!! It left some spots but I'm redoing it again I think it will all come off! Thank you to that youtube lady!!!
You worked your butt off! Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm buying that Kaboom.
I can't wait to try this. Thanks for your review and showing what did/didn't work.
it works :) thanks for watching :)
Oh wow!! That looks like it might be the magic answer! I’m trying this tomorrow!
I just bought this and will use it immediately! Thank you so much for sharing this!
very welcome! It works :)
You need a deck brush without the handle to get down in the grooves with the Kaboom spray. Try it. Works wonders. I had the same problem before using the deck scrub brush.
I tried that in the past, didnt work. The Kaboom worked! Thanks for watching.
Use the fume free oven cleaner. Spray it on and let it sit for an hour. Come back and WIPE off. No scrubbing necessary. I also have a textured ivory fiberglass shower and it is the only thing that works for me. Done in 75-90 minutes. Good luck!
Debbie Hazen nope that oven cleaner ruins the finish!! Using the spray cleaner that I used worked great!! But thanks fir watching and replying.
Thanks for this video! I did vinegar and blue dawn dish soap today with an extra strength brillo pad. It worked pretty good. I think if you use a different scrubber it might come all clean on ne go. I'm going to try your method next time to see which one gets it cleaner. I HATE these stupid fiber glass showers grrrr!!! :)
I hate the fiberglass too! Doing the way I demonstrated, there is no scrubbing, just using paper towel or scubby sponge or rag to wipe it away. I was really surprised,. I had tried everything. Now this is the only way I clean it. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment. Feel free to subscribe :)
Great video 👌 Going to try the Kaboom 👍👍👍👍
Almost an identical issue I had where the vinegar and water would not remove stains, not soap scum. Soap scum was easier to get off with vinegar and Dawn, but would not remove the rust stains from the water.
This stuff really works!
That is the hardest thing to clean.
Am I the only one who had the watch this for science class?
I know I’m late, but Home Depot and Lowe’s carry a stock of these!
Our dollar General always has it too.
Thanks Zaz Ethel Mosley, except I'm going to add the advice of Wendy (below) who suggested a stronger scrubber, green pad or stiff bristle scrub brush or all 3! You saved me money trying the other products including that Kaboom other product without the oxi-clean in it. So the key is the Kaboom WITH the Oxi-clean.
moniquemonicat I did try a green back sponge but this shower floor has a tough textured floor and the green back sponge doesn’t get into its grooves. To where a rag will, once it’s been soaking as shown. I’m happy to say that this shower hasn’t stained like this again.
Rubber gloves would be good for your hands. Nice video.
I know I'm late to the party, but I have the exact same tub as you do-- the same weird pattern. I understand it serves a safety purpose to minimize slip risk, but it traps stains and makes it difficult to clean. I've tried everything from ajax to vinegar/baking soda, clorox, dawn dish soap, laundry detergent, you name it. I felt defeated. I eventually used a pot scour-- it works okay, but not without some elbow grease. I still don't get the desired bright white results, even to this day.
Do what I did. Wet the shower walls/floor with water/kaboom, soak the paper towels with kaboom, lay the paper towels on the whole floor and up the sides as much as they will go, then spray them again, then they get so wet they bubble up some, just pat them down so they stick again then go in every so often and spray again. letting soak for hours or over night. I let sit over night but I soaked them again in the am.. it wiped away with a finger test. Use those same towels to wash it all up.
Another cleaner option is Mighty Boss degreaser multi-cleaner
hmm.. never heard of that before.. ill be watching for it, thanks. And thanks for watching.
Thanks, but I'll hire someone to do this.
I have this same step in shower and mine is white and I absolutely hate that textured floor 😠
Im disabled and cannot get down on my hands and knees to wipe or scrub. My brother uses the Kaboom with the OxyClean and he swears by it. Thats all great and everything but I need something that doesnt require hands and knee scrubbing. Help!!!
I think about the only thing you can do it spray it more often, maby get a toilet bowl brush just for the shower floor, or a broom? When we got this shower we had a sprayer on a hose installed too. That helps with the rinsing, dont have to use a container to pour water. Good luck!!
@@Aleahh1 luckily I do have the shower head that has the hose. Another thing for me that is a real issue is that I have the shower stool that is attached inside the shower and pulls up and down. That thing for some reason has all these crevice areas around the back side of it where the hardware is that attaches it to the wall. Its a nightmare to clean if its gone too long and its all plastic. Thanks for you help! 💜
Check out Angela Brown’s videos. This woman is amazing. She’s a housecleaner and happens to have a video on recommended brushes. She shows one with pole extensions for those of us who have problems with getting up and down.
That’s great that it worked but I find it unnecessary to have to soak paper towels for hours to get something clean. Not for me, just saying.
i would rather let it soak than scrubb it when I can be doing other things.. it worked and is spotless :) thanks for watching.
