    Thanks for this beautiful video tour of Dungarvan. The early morning shots were exquisite and so relaxing. I had neighbours in Belfast the mother of whom was a native of Ring. She moved back there in retirement as did her adult children and we had several invitations to visit which due to pressure of work at the time we were never able to do. I'm caring for a 93 year old mother now but this has moved Co Waterford towards the top of my list of places to visit when I can.

    Hello Harrison's ! Found your channel and subscribed a while back . Very excited to view your videos of this area of Ireland . My Grandmother emigrated from this area (Kilmacthomas) in the early 1900's . to America . I am looking forward to viewing your past videos and look forward to future ones . Thanks for taking the time to make your content . John.

      Hi John, thank you so much for your kind comment. I have a friend who lives in Kilmacthomas. Such a beautiful area, but I'm sure it looks very different to how it was when your grandmother lived there. Do you live in the US now?

    Beautifully filmed and the music was perfect.
    I'm from Waterford City but have been living in London for 38 years. Am planning on moving back home in 2023 so it's a long time since I was in Dungarvan. Thanks for showing me around.

    Always so peaceful and calming to be out and about first thing in the morning before the rest of the world wakes up and are out and about. Dungarven looks so clean and tidy and well maintained. Don't the shop fronts look so festive. Thanks for sharing a glimpse into your daily life. You definitely live in a beautiful part of the world.

    Thank you for the early morning walkabout Bronwin. The neighbourhood looks great. I'm glad to see your children bouncing healthily too. I live in Midleton, not far from Dungarvan,and am tempted to visit before the winter sets in.

      Oh do visit. Even in winter time it is beautiful. Plenty coffee shops with a lovely cuppa to warm you up. I've never been to Midleton, it's bigger than Dungarvan I believe.

    Dungarvan, what an amazing place. Walking with you through the video reminded me once again of this quaint little town, that has so much and is within a couple hours drive to so many ancient and historical places, as well as the beauty and wonder of nature. Who can forget the Coumshingaum hike with Joshua. It is a must for any who spend time in Dungarvan. You also mentioned Mahon Falls, a beautiful place for a family picnic. Then of course there is the Friary Abbey of Muckross founded around 1445, a place that I would love to revisit. Then there is Mount Carrauntohill, Ireland's highest mountain, around 1036 metres high. The rain on the weekend we were there hindered us in climbing it. But, there will be a next time. In your introduction was the St. Augustine's Church which I revisited on my last day in Ireland. What a fascinating history it has. Reading one of the inscriptions, the older part of the church was the Abbey of the Hermits of St. Augustine founded around 1290, and the present church building was built around 1820. What is so great about Ireland is the detail that you find inscribed on these buildings giving you a bigger picture of the history of these ancient sites. And then who can forget the Waterford Greenway. As I mentioned before, it is a must for any cycling enthusiast to cycle the 45 kms to Waterford and back again. It took me five hours, but well worth the ride. I think Dungarvan is one of those hidden gems of Ireland, a place worth visiting again and again. See you next summer 🌞😉

    I'm moving down after the holidays from Scotland. I have family in Donegal and N. Ireland but that weather is too close to the Scottish sea weather I live with now. Even friends from England who fuss about the weather shut up real quick once they experience the Scottish weather. 😅I'm looking at Wicklow and Wexford and now will add Dungarvan to my list.

      The South East coastal towns of Ireland definitely get the lions share of the sunshine and better weather whereas the west coast often endure the brunt of winter storms. All the best with the move.

    dolaştığınız irlandanın çarşısı sanırım dükkânlar var oturulan evlerde tek veya iki katlı ne güzel bizim türkiyemizde evler çok katlı apartman dairesi genelde beş kat ve üzerinde olabiliyo her ülkenin mimari yapıları farklı ben az katlı bahçeli evleri seviyorum ne yazıkki benim oturduğum ev beş katlı ben ikinci katta oturuyorum güzel vlog teşekkürler türkiye den sevgiler saygılar😊

      Dükkanların çoğunda üstlerinde yaşayan insanlar var. Güney Afrika'da oldukça geniş bir bahçemiz vardı, bu yüzden küçük bir bahçeye alışmak biraz zaman aldı. Ama en azından küçük bir açık alanımız var.

    Could you please tell,if 40000 euros p.a. ( before tax) is a good enough salary for a couple & a toddler to live a good life in Dungarvan , waterford, Ireland?
    If not what should we ask to live a decent life there?

    • @impromptuimmigrants
      @impromptuimmigrants  Год назад

      It's so hard to answer that question as everyone has a different standard of living. Have a look at rent prices... where you will be living... what you usually spend on groceries a month... your day to day expenses... medical... car insurance... draw yourself up a budget and see if you think it will be livable.

      Atalarımın hepsi Avrupa'dan geldi. Açık tenli insanlar Güney Afrika'da bir azınlık ama Güney Afrika'da nüfusun yaklaşık yüzde 8'ini oluşturan 4 milyondan fazla beyaz var.
